Equality between men and women is mainly referred to as gender equality where both parties are considered equal. Unlikely, women in different cases have been considered weaker than men, since in the past where women were suppressed and considered sublime sex in comparison to men. Women voices have been heard in the early 19th century after different feminine rallies and struggles for freedom where their various rights and respect have been observed. Currently, women around the world are enjoying their different rights such as rights to vote; they are free to work, move to different places, speak and free access to various basic, crucial desires (Bendl & Schmidt, 2012). Different women are now in a position to attain education in various fields according to their desires and secure employment in different places according to their educational qualifications. I believe in equality between women and men due to different reasons as discussed in the essay below.

A great difference between boys and girls who are schooling is noted in different regions where the lowest rate in the completion of primary schools is witnessed and thus lower incomes. In some places around the world such as Sub-Saharan Africa, it has been noted a hard change in the ratio of girls to boys enrollment over the past years. Improvements have also been noted in other places such South Asia where a good percentage of girls is realized to have enrolled for educations (Bendl & Schmidt, 2012). This shows a global increase in the literacy rate of females that gives them an opportunity to for better lives and a great future. Currently, it has been projected that a good number of countries around the world will be in a position to attain parity of gender in primary education where another number of countries is expected to the same in lower secondary level of education shortly.

The education of boys and girls form both crucial and a critical lever for attaining different development objectives. Offering education to different girls assists in breaking the chains of poverty, where cases of early marriages are reduced since educated women can hardly get married against their will. There will be fewer cases of women dying during childbirth, giving birth to babies who are healthy, and women will be in a position to educate their children. The availability of quality education to all children, rooted in gender equality and human rights, it creates a wave effect of chance that influences different generations in future (Eriksson-Zetterquist & Renemark, 2016). The education of girls is crucial since they will be in a position to achieve relevantly and quality learning, such as the performance and transition of girls and secondary school education and beyond.

Gender equality should be emphasized in tertiary levels of education as well as in different areas of study. For instance, women are significantly over-represented in areas related to social sciences and humanities and on the same case being under-represented in areas related to technology, engineering, and pure science. The rights to education of different people have been undermined by gender-related violence in in learning institutions which pose a great challenge towards the achievement of gender equality in various learning institutions. This is because gender-related violence has a negative impact on the participation and retention of girls in schools (Rafi, 2015). Due to ineffective education on sexual and reproductive health, limited access to information by adolescents is experienced that further leads to increased number of school dropouts, most probably girls who are at the puberty stage.

The education of different girls and women is crucial since it leads to a wide range of advantages starting from lower infant mortality, advanced maternal health care and fertility rates to high prevention in the transmission of HIV and AIDS. A mother who is educated is in a position to note that breastfeeding can transmit HIV from mother to child thus reducing the chances of transmission between mothers to a child. Mothers with higher education levels have their children more likely to survive as compared to those with lower education levels.

Discrimination that is gender-based, in areas related to education, has resulted in various causes and consequences of basic differences in the society. Cases of disparities have been witnessed whether regarding disability, ethnic background, or different traditional attitudes where their various status and roles affect the ability of different women and girls to exercise their personal rights. Harmful practices such as laws and policies discriminating women from education, gender-related violence, as well as early marriages appear as a big challenge against the education of the girl child. Some of this deeds in the society should be eliminated to successfully defend the rights of women in the society. In consideration of this, the girl child will be given equal opportunities in education thereby increasing the chances of equality in the work place.

Equality between men and women is promoted by equal access to better quality education that requires the addressing of various inequalities that are persistent and wide-ranging. This is handled by strongly focusing on how various forms of inequality combine to form unequal results to vulnerable and marginalized groups. Different suggestions in overcoming inequality between women and men have been made where there is a need for setting up goals that ensure that the government is responsible for the establishment of minimum principles and implementing basic services in a country such as education (Rafi, 2015). Equality in education also involves the implementation of different proactive measures where progressive support is mainly offered to disadvantaged groups.

Different research that has been done concerning equality between men and women as far as education is concerned highlights the significance of educating girls as a successful way of handling poverty in the society. Equality in education will also eliminate issues of child labor, which mostly affects the boy child, and also parents will be in a position to educate both girls and boys as they know the advantage of education on each one of them (Rafi, 2015). Different reports have been made stating culture as one of the issues that contribute towards gender inequality in the education sector. It is stated that some cultures value highly the education of boy child, placing a risk for girls being dropped out of school and therefore high chances of early marriages that further leads to poverty.

Based on employment, in the past, women were given few chances of employment opportunities since men were believed to be capable of work only. This was because women were not in a position to access some of their rights such rights to educations and there they lacked the basic qualification for jobs. Different organizations in various countries came up with an objective of fighting for the equality of gender in the work place, especially in governmental organizations. Most of the countries around the world received the challenges positively and provided a measure to overcome the issue of gender inequality in work. Various countries went ahead and laws which favored the employment of women in government institutions were passed. The laws required women to be given equal chances as men during application and offering of jobs.

It has been realized clearly that women should be part of different workforces since they have the ability to deliver their best in their duties. In the past, women suffered discrimination when it came to top jobs as men were believed to poses better leadership skills than women. This led to women being undermined and their rights being exploited. Currently, with the observation of equality in the employment sector, it has been realized that even women can deliver better than men when it comes to work output (Van de Velde, Huijts, Bracke, & Bambra, 2012). Equality in the place of work also contributes towards team work where different women realize their talents and men assist them in achieving their set goals and objectives. Equality leads to faster decision making in the place of work as women can make sound decisions concerning their lives despite in the past where men were given the same responsibilities.

Recruiting more women in the job market assists in counterbalancing the consequences of a shrinking the issues of working-age population, where the strain on social protection and public finances systems is reduced, thereby raising the levels of competitiveness and increasing the chances of human capital. Emphasizing on gender equality in the work place leads to a positive effect on fertility since measures are put in place to facilitate the balancing of work life. In for most countries to achieve their objectives of having 75% of women and men employment rate, specific attention requires being given to the job market involvement of single parents, migrant women, older women, and disabled women. Research shows that the employment rate of the mentioned group of women remains relatively low and therefore there is a need for them to be considered when reducing the outstanding gender gaps.

Equality between men and women is crucial to be considered in the work place especially when it comes to issues related to parenthood. Parenthood is an issue that mostly affects women and their participation in the labor market. This is because women are mostly given the responsibility of running a good number of issues concerning their families. This gives some women a challenge because they have to choose between career life and looking after their children. Statistics currently show that men and women have to care increasingly for dependents apart from their children for long periods of time. Different organizations such the EU are making different progress towards improving the general framework for a sound work and life balance. The organizations are focused on improvement in this area, giving special attention to the accessibility of reasonable excellence care.

Inequality between men and women in the place of work leads to high levels of poverty where the experience between men and women is quite different. The risk of women facing poverty is higher to that of men, especially the elderly and lone parents. Different obstacles to employment are also considered in various rates of inactivity and long-term rates of unemployment. Disadvantaged groups such as the disabled, migrant workers, and the elderly, the gaps of gender tend to be wide therefore leading to many problems for women (Van de Velde, Huijts, Bracke, & Bambra, 2012). The government in various countries should put in place specific measures and policies in the pension sector to ensure means of livelihood for women on retirement. This will help in eliminating cases of suffering and poverty in their old ages.  

The consideration of equality between men and women in medical facilities has been of great importance. This is because, with the availability of basic and advanced education in medicine, women most likely do better in nursing where most of the men don\'t find it more comforting. Women are also in a position to provide health care for their families which increase the rate of survival. With access to better education and employment in the health sector, they can hold programs which educate their fellow women on the importance of spaced pregnancies and better methods of family planning. They will also be in a position to educate their fellow women on prevention of HIV/AIDS, how they can easily access post-natal care and better ways of preventing diseases that are sexually transmitted (Van de Velde, Huijts, Bracke, & Bambra, 2012). To achieve this, women are considered a priority during the recruitment of people in the health sector in different countries. This has led to huge improvements in the health sector as compared to the past years.

The number of women has been realized lower as compared to that of men on issues related to economic decision making and other different levels of management. In most cases, women are represented by only one in a board of about ten members in large public companies. This is one of the issues where change is required. Different researches show that there is a positive relation existing between women in business performances and different leadership positions. Gender equality should also be considered in the fields of science and technology where women should also be given equal chances as compared to men.

In conclusion, I believe in equality between men and women in the education and employment sector. In the education sector, women used to face discrimination the past years, thereby being denied their rights for education. Different organizations and personalities have been fighting for the rights of women to access education (Van de Velde, Huijts, Bracke, & Bambra, 2012). This led to support by the government in various countries, where women now stand a better chance in education and perform even better than men. Gender equality has also been considered in the employment sector where most of the successful companies consider the equality of men and women, especially in the top most positions.
