Technological innovation and improvement have had a profound effect in all areas of marketing. In an increasingly evolving world, the essence of a technological environment and its trends cannot be ignored by a firm. Especially, in an era where the creation, launch and maintenance of a new product are more expensive and cumbersome as ever, the need for continuous technological innovation is the foundation to survive in a competitive market. For firms which are not inclined towards adoption of new technological practices, an understanding of the same is important to stay at par with the competitors in the environment.

Invention planned to be launched in 2017. The aim of MSR is to provide unique security features which would not be sacrificed in the case of a theft or mishap of any kind. In addition to providing a high level of security, MSR also provides secondary features such as Mobile App controlled functions, drunk driving prevention etc. which add to its credibility and uniqueness.

European Market:

The european car market has been on constant rise in the past few months with nearly all auto makers recording an increase in sales.The industry has high potential for major innovations, and MSR brings in a break through technology.

 In the ever changing society and the evolution of demand there are high safety considerations. The strategies adopted by companies include investment in RD expenses,growth in services activity and partnership between car and equipment manufactures.

My smart remote is a system that provides connected,added-value features in order to enhance car users experience to improve car safety thus making a car truly smart.

Over the past few years there have been many issues of attacks in automative systems and a prominent example of a teenager being able to unlock a car with only £12 worth of equipment.

We are going to be using the pull strategy for marketing the MSR product. In a pull strategy interest for a particular product or service is created amongst the target audience with the intention to create demand. This causes the product to be “ pulled ” by the target audience.The reason behind choosing a pull strategy is the technical nature of the product. Customers generally tend to rely on TV commercials , print media , most importantly word of mouth before making such purchases. There in this case door to door selling or personal selling will not prove to be effective.

Focus is laid on B2B and B2C marketing both. Under B2B marketing, we suggest creating dealerships with car manufacturers such as honda , chevrolet, BMW etc., to provide an option to the customers of installing our app  with purchase of the car. So the car is delivered along with the MSR hardware installed. Tieing up with car accessories store or having a MSR sales representative in these stores would help increase sales and create awareness to consumers who like to add additional features to the car as compared to the original model.

Under B2C  selling we would like to exploit the reach and the impact of social media in the most economical way possible.To begin with in social media we would like to create a facebook blog where there are daily articles and posts from people stating how MSR acted to there benefit in helping them save their car from theft and other unavoidable circumstances such as leaving the key inside the car or………… ) This would generate the need of MSR amongst consumers as we would highlight that how having MSR makes life easier for people who face threat of car theft.

Similarly, we would create a trending hashtag on instagram as “ My MSR is My Safety Regime” which can be used with the message that “Safety is the new smart”.Regular posts and photos on twitter , facebook and instagram will create a lasting impact for our product. Snapchat stories should be posted accentuating the MSR features. Linkedin profiles though are generally used to connect with people for job opportunities but in this case we can use linkedin to connect with the most powerful players of the market , any support from whom will add to the product goodwill. Videos should be posted in which consultants or influential  are talking about the use and benefits of MSR. Email advertising can also b done as a part of the social media campaign. Regular emails should be sent to ensure that the product is not forgotten. The email database can be negotiated from car manufactures , dealer and accessory store owners as a part of the dealership. Customers should be encouraged to send referrals to their friends and family by giving them incentive of winning prizes and discount codes. For example if any purchase is made by the referrals sent put by them they earn  a 2perc commission. This will allow us to make people outside our organisation our salesforce and this will also encourage people to sell our product for us without any additional cost. The MSR product feature video should be posted in youtube as the most innovative technology to spread awareness amongst  inquisitive tech freaks. Pop up advertisement in car purchase websites are also a good option along with the Add MSR to your cart option.Social media is a time consuming yet a very economical platform with a very vast geographical reach which should be used to our best advantage. Anything trending on social media becomes the talk of the town and hence helps to spread word of mouth which is our strategy for marketing the product.While buying technology related products people heavily rely on reviews of their closed ones due to large number of product failures and exaggeration in marketing. Conducting trade shows is a good way of catching the attention of the key players of the industry while emphasizing on the uniqueness of the product.Similarly sponsorship in corporate and other popular events can be a good way of coming into the spotlight.
