I- TOO MUCH TECHNOLOGY

With the advent of technology we have entered a new era, an era where everything is revolutionized. It has continued to evolve until today and is omnipresent in our daily lives at work, at home or on vacation we found it everywhere. In the course of time technology has taken on many different connotations, and has achieved extraordinary feats thanks to the advanced research by scholars and researchers who are constantly learning more about this incredible material. Nowadays it is essential to design a world without internet and all our little electronic gadgets. It is important to emphasize that society is strongly affected by technology (Thierry Lefèvre, 2013). A basic definite term to make life easier for man in his daily life, it has a very great social impact and it is also one of the factors that influence the ecological footprint of humanity. Without sparing the question of the fulfillment of man.

The relationship between man and technology is not new, for a long time they coexist. But today or in short, do you think there is too much technology? Some think to be dominated by this light and that man has become a slave, we would have to deal with these few questions in order to have the opinion on this subject.

II-QUESTIONS

II-1 what are some of the arguments for and against the use of digital medias ?

By the discovery of technology our lifestyle has been renovating. The ways of doing things are no longer the same as our habits and even our rituals have changed compared to those of our elders. Thanks to this new era we are close to each other by new technology.

But does this change help us better or worse?

To answer this question we should find arguments for and against.

The arguments for :

Getting information easier and on time.

Before this new technology people communicated by written messages on paper from which the invention of the letter to communicate information but this method was a process that requires a lot of effort and steps and nowadays we have the ability to receive information easily through the internet support that allows us to send a click information to another person at the end of the world and with a determined time you see? What technology has to offer us? A communication of a series of messages at the moment when one wishes! A very clear example: before that which preceded us hardly found the information that they looked for they proceeded pages on pages and now with the arrival of Google it allows us to get by more easily.

Fast communication:

You, like me, must have noticed the contrast of the communicative evolution!

Always in this uncertain time when people were still living with scraps of paper and dragging a feather under the cloak to be able to release news, inform people or simply write and feel the art of writing. At that time would prefer to write to their families and friends by an eve method but still use by some people but really a category of people nowadays that was to write them letters but this trial could take a real time through the days that recipients should wait. Nowadays all to change we can communicate faster thanks to the invention of social networks such as Yahoo, Gmail or Facebook which remains a great community! Which are easier and faster ways at the same time.

keep in touch with our friend

As the famous quotation "technology has made the world a global village". That is to say ? Nowadays the distance does not mean much because through technology we are all connected to each other: we can continue to regularly get news from our loved ones all over the world which is a great feat of being able to in spite of the distance, what would be the situation in a situation that could not be envisaged?

Improve business

Trade is getting better and better with the development of new technologies, a collaboration that cooperates and that gives a wonderful progress to the trade itself. It brings a touch of modernity that goes in term of the needs of the customers. For example the online shopping sites available at any time for us who are the customer is all in all a good chance because it allows us to save time choosing directly looking for the product you want on the site but also money because it allows us to move less this facility influence so buying mass at the customer is one more point for business.

But this phenomenon presents both negative and positive aspects the appearance of digital media also entails twists and turns:

• medically

The devices we use every day and technological progress affect us a lot we do not realize yet but these concerns are to be expected in the near future. Wireless internet connections are constantly growing and high tech mobile devices are increasing the worry of the danger of electromagnetic fields. These devices are also guilty of brain cancer a phenomenon currently in the world and a great concern because public opinion deduces that the government is little involved in this phenomenon of concern.

• social effect

we are loosing our social skills

Social networks is attracting more and more people massively this phenomenon makes us anti-social people. 9/10 people are attached to their phones in public places. Our generations are poor in social skills soon we will see the following generations lose this pleasure of enjoying the moment of social life the face to face communication. We spend a lot of our time on social networks and society loses its value.

Fake informations

Another disadvantage would be the propaganda of rumors on the networks. Nowadays anyone to write a fake article or post on the net it is easy to make photos and videos montages and post them on the net we can handle

II-2 how might the brain affected by constant digital media usage ?

"The human brain is an obsolete computer that needs a faster processor and more tense memory": the god Google and his universal memory has put our brains out.

We are only at the beginning. To be honest, there is a greater media craze on this topic that there is research on the subject! In reality everything depends on what is meant by the internet: speak your search engines? Social networks? Every activity on the net has its own implications for the brain.

Although surfing the internet is a good brain gymnastics. It allows the development of brain circuits involved in reasoning and decision-making. To test on other cognitive performances, multitasking students would have an advantage over others.

-Some researchers argue that the internet would affect our ability to pay attention. The best study conducted by Anthony Wagner and Clifford Nass of Standflord University took the initiative to delve into the question and see it more clearly. They interviewed several hundred students about their use of the Internet, focusing mainly on "multitasking", ie the faculty juggling between different activities at the same time to the example of listening to music , go to Google for a search, talk on Twitter, and surf Facebook at the same time, and the analysis showed that public opinion was of a strong inequality; many who admitted to performing several tasks at the same time were of a lower standard than those who claimed the opposite for the cause, the amount of information they were to manage distracting them from the main tasks to be performed.

Our ability to move from one activity to another is difficult because we can not do two things at once but we force ourselves to do so which often pushes us to make mistakes or difficulties in sorting information.

Those who constantly juggle multiple channels of information may be less able to focus on one thing and resist distraction, researchers say. It remains to be seen whether this lack of control results from the various media consumption or if it pushes students to this diversification.

Creations opinions say that the brain is not naturally multitasking.

In terms of work

Let's see when a driver speaks on the phone his visual attention diminishes. This is why the use of the phone while driving is prohibited. Other works tend to show that the brain can be led to move more efficiently from one activity to another, so it would seem that it would be possible to be multitasking while exercising.

-The digital media reduce our cognitive capacity

Technology has profound effects on our memory, particularly in the short-term memory or working memory, altering or, in these cases, deteriorating its cognitive function.

Ex: memory: take a moment to try to remember the last time you memorized a phone number. This will go back to around 2001 may be. And when was the last night when the last conversation with friends where you took your smartphone to find the answer on Google? Probably last week.

II - 3 Do you think these arguments outweigh the positives of the digital media usage ?

My answer would be positive, remember first of all that the primary purpose of technology is to say at its first intention is to simplify the lives of humans. In fact it is at our service. Yet it is not new, the man has an ambiguous relationship with her. Fascinated by the progress and the modernity that it symbolizes, frightened by her possible excesses. "Technology has a magical character. It's beautiful, people say, but at the same time, they are afraid of it. As long as there is no experience, they project on it scenarios of the future, sci-fi scenarios ", (Christophe Rebours,2004),founder of design in process. And if no one wants to return to the Stone Age, a time of mutual adoption would be necessary for the man to regain the feeling of dominating technology.

With the arrival of new technologies, this adoption time has become shorter and shorter, and little by little the man has the feeling of losing the hand, to be enslaved by the machine. "Technology is inviting everywhere, in our environment, in our privacy, it becomes intrusive. And the probability is high that each of us sees more than ten technological revolutions when our ancestors saw hardly one in their life ", remarks (Dominique Weizman 2006), wanted above all to signify that the arrival of all his new technologies all his little gadgets are a pleasure for man, a real human progress that allows us to break barriers today.

Seduced by modernity but refusing the unbridled race to performance, some consumers are starting to look for a more effective strategy in order to use more technology in the utility. Observe, the concept of "low tech" would you give what definition to this term? A word composed of two words but very complex meaning. Indeed, this term wanted to reduce the interest of all these new technologies by a simple and invisible concept. "The low-tech does not reject the technology but it focuses on the essential, on what makes sense. Its followers are looking for a Zen technology whose main characteristic is simplicity ", (Pierre d'Huy, 2006). In order to explain that this phenomenon is however a virtue. Public opinion is very worried about this phenomenon but the people in charge are aware of what could be generated and also know that one could not conceive of a world without technology so many are those who invest in the research and development of this field. If nothing can stop their market forward, the goal today is to make new technologies useful, beautiful, available and simple. To come back, in terms of design. What Raymond Loewy called the "MAYA stage". "The MAYA point, for most" Most Advanced Yet Acceptable "is a kind of border, difficult to define, to draw. This is the point, the limit beyond which we can not go without taking risks to be rejected by users, "( Christophe Rebours,2004). A border that Steve Jobs, boss of Apple, seems to have found. From the first computer to the iPod, the firm has built its reputation on the simplicity of the interfaces, on the beauty of the design, on the accessibility of the technology. The project would be to ensure that technology is omnipresent, but so that it is invisible, that it is somehow low profile.

So we should know that all these little gadgets that we use every day may be harmful but it is still a necessary evil for humans.

II - 4  What's more to do for children using digital media? Should children under 8 use computers and cell phones?

Children in the digital world

Over time, we have seen technology and new advanced inventions at incredible speed. Especially since it has become accessible to all, large and small have made use of it. This phenomenon is of benefit as well as loss in children.

Regarding the use of computers and smartphones in children under 8, public opinion is categorical:

Indeed the technological touches that we provide to our youngest children to a positive effect on education; The use of digital and social media stimulates early learning as well as exposure to innumerable new ideas and knowledge.

It develops some curiosities of the human metabolism. Any exploration benefits the development of the brain, a drawing on an iPad screen can stimulate or develop brain function in children. Statistics show that 71% of parents of children under 6 believe that touch screens make it easier for toddlers to learn. As a result, in some institutions the old blackboard chalkboard was replaced by the technology screens.

But should be careful these devices are responsible for several negative factors in kid's environment : A source of parent-child conflict

The use of mobile devices is associated with less verbal and nonverbal interaction between parents and children; there is little communication between parents and children with these devices that occupy a large part of the child's life (Marie, 2017). As a consequence, this type of behavior particularly favors parent-child conflict.

Mental health affected

Some human organs are assigned to the example of auditory functions, "there is nothing flagrant about the negative effect," he says. Regarding the effects on well-being (tired, anxiety). The observed effects are benefits related to the use of mobile phones rather than the radio frequencies themselves. Some studies also seem to associate "an intensive use of the mobile phone by young children and an affected mental health", which results in risky behaviors. Report by (ANSES, 2017).

Very young children under 6 years old are now exposed to more waves very early because of the development of wireless technologies that we discussed about the first question.

It is also true to say that these devices decrease cognitive ability in children.

III CONCLUSION

To conclude, I would say that technology and devices are, however, beneficial. Research shows that everyday use of these devices affects our organs, especially our brain, and raises health concerns in the near future. But in spite of these inconveniences it would be necessary to deduce that technology will never be enough in our lives, because man will not stop changing and innovating during his life. With each defect the man does not cease to improve, and the following generations will follow the movement. We just learn from this study that we should use this science with moderation.
