Abstract

    Our project is about Virtual visualization of decoration and wall paints using the Third Dimension. That means we can visualize our home, office or any building by incorporating the color selection, coordination and preview online room painting features and object. Object can be anything like wall painting, shelf, picture, lamp and any furniture. We can visualize using virtual 3D method. It is used for any building decoration and renovation. And most importantly you can upload a picture of your home or room. Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design provides a unique experience for do it yourselfers to become their own color expert in selecting interior paint colors and paint a room online. With this project, they have harnessed this ability and expertise on the go that makes every user paint color savvy at any time and from any location. With a range of unique features, such as the capability to painting a room online with touch-and-tap technology and preview color on walls, trim and accents, the virtual room painter allows consumers to act upon what inspires them in the moment before they visit Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design.

CHAPTER 1

1.1 Problem Summary:

   Our project is about Virtual visualization of decoration and wall paints using the Third Dimension. That means we can visualize our home, office or any building by incorporating the color selection, coordination and preview online room painting features and object. Object can be anything like wall painting, shelf, picture, lamp and any furniture.

What is Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design?

   Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design provides a unique experience for do it yourselfers to become their own color expert in selecting interior paint colors and paint a room online. With this project, they have harnessed this ability and expertise on the go that makes every user paint color savvy at any time and from any location. With a range of unique features, such as the capability to painting a room online with touch-and-tap technology and preview color on walls, trim and accents, the virtual room painter allows consumers to act upon what inspires them in the moment before they visit Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design.

    The website Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design can be access on both android and iPhone mobile devices and offers consumers an on-the-go platform for how to select paint color for any home decoration project at the touch of a finger. Whether it's a blue sky in the park a vivid red sweater or a flowing lavender curtain, the colors smart by Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design enables the homeowner to explore and select paint color immediately.

    With Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design, do it yourselfers can take a picture or use existing picture from their personal gallery and paint a room online. Next they tap on an area of in the picture and the virtual paint will take you to the three closest matching paint colors. With “Preview Colors”, user can access interior and exterior images in a variety of styles within the virtual room painter in order to test their color choices by online room painting the walls, trims and accents. They can zoom in to see details of the picture or remove a color and add another for the perfect color combination .Consumers can share their color selections with friends and family with the by posting it on their Twitter and Facebook pages .Moreover , project can also be saved to Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design.

    Some features like “Favorites” of the site created for the homeowner to be able to save their favorites colors, coordinated palettes, and room images. In addition, these site provides user with handy paint calculator to help figure out how much paint to purchase and a store locator to get directions to the nearest to the home.

Why it's required?

    These project helps you to experiment with colors and interior designing virtually with three dimension visualization. With the help of Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design, you can find nearby store or shop that provides raw materials and furniture and wall paint in reasonable price. It will also help you to calculate how much paint to purchase with feature “calculate budget”.

   The Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design website reduce your efforts to find, available nearby stores by searching online. It helps you to find contact details of nearly stores that provides raw materials with reasonable price. These project provides every user to paint color savvy at any time and from any location. These website can access from any android and iPhone devices. It can also access on personal computer and laptop.

    On this website, user can find variety of virtual room design tools or commercial 3D home design available that user being able to move about inside and to decorate a virtual kitchen, virtual bedroom or virtual living room.

1.2 AIM

    The aim of our project is, to step in when you cannot hire a real, live interior designer for a home makeover project. They allow you to sample different design options online, creating a virtual image of what your room would look like if you made a particular change. There are several with in a virtual design program, including paint colors, flooring option light fixtures, window treatments, an furniture placement. These website is available for 24×7 and the user can access from anywhere.

1.3 OBJECTIVES

    A realistic virtual reality space will supply an excellent solution for interior design and marketing. After modelling a room or other space in 3D system it will be easy to test different raw materials and furnishing elements in order to find out visual impression, functionality or ergonomics. A traditional to two dimensional image gives very limited possibilities to test different alternatives in realistic space.

    In addition to design and marketing of furnishing elements could be visualized rooms with different realistic interior decorations and furnishing also before the building has been completely built. Virtual 3D paint and interior design comes with several advanced construction design tools to help the user to create an entire home and it saves your design and user can share their image on social media. The programs used by professional architects, contractors and interior decorators. If user only need to renovate an existing house or design a room addition, use can use the program to cut out their design and only focus on that one area of home.

It will be an interactive and user friendly system.

Significant improvement in security and user friendly system.

Searching and Sorting of information will be easy and efficient.

1.4  PROBLEM SPECIFICATION

   The problem with Virtual visualization is image rotation or size of the uploaded picture. There are two options here: 360 degrees image or video of the real house or the virtual model of it. Images of the real house can be taken by a special 360 degree cameras like Ricoh Theta S, Samsung Gear 360, Nikon key Mission 360, and Kodak Pixpro 4KVR360, and 360fly 4K and others. Their price range of these cameras from rupees 2,524 to 26,800 approximately. But if you are ready to invest heavily- there are so many expensive solutions on the market.

Solution

   In most of the cases, though, a standard phone camera supporting shooting of 360 degree images may work. The main disadvantage of 360 images is that you may not be able to remodel the house you see, unless you actually move the furniture or paint the walls. These is where Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design becomes incredibly helpful.

   

   There are plenty of devices that can help the user for watching either real or virtual model of the house. Such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Microsoft HoloLens. There are also some cheaper alternatives like Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, and Google Daydream View. It is also possible to watch 360 degrees videos of the house without any devices. There is always a possibility to create a standards 360 degree video or image which is just flat equirectangular video or image display on a sphere.

    

    Such video or image can be viewed on a smartphone or in the computer browser without any additional devices. You just have to use a finger or a cursor as a pointer or simply hold the phone and move it in different directions looking at your home design.

1.5 LITERATURE REVIEW

   The creativity cannot be change because of evolution of technology, but it has brought about the ability to visualize the imagined creativity of interior design. Virtual modelling allows designs to be express even in the early stages of design. Design costs have been efficiently reduced with this method. Virtual models enable internal mental image of house interiors design to be display in the early stages of design process, which reduces errors in the overall complete design decisions of house model with three dimension.

    It is important to have a low-cost but yet high performance virtual environment in the interior construction process. The virtual visualization enable real time data rendering and interaction between users and virtual environment. These project helps you to experiment with colors and interior designing virtually with three dimension visualization. With the help of Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design, you can find nearby store or shop that provides raw materials and furniture and wall paint in reasonable price. It will also help you to calculate how much paint to purchase with feature “calculate budget”.

1.6 PLAN OF THEIR WORK

    The fixation of the project development approach might not be good enough for such a huge system to get evolved from scratch. Some planning has to be undertaken before the commencement of the project so that future threats can be overcame by some solid planning and project management. Time can be a matter of concern in this case.

    

    The evolution of such a humongous project is no doubt time as well as effort consuming. So the time management must be the foremost factor that needs to be taken under consideration before commencement of the project. The idea of time consumption by our project can be demonstrated by the descriptive graph below:

1.7 MATERIALS/TOOLS

   Today there are many tools available for creating urban models for virtual 3D environments. Each has a different approach to virtual visualization of home or any building decoration with three dimension and there are several ways to view virtually themselves within these programs. One can use software whose full purpose is only to create virtual images of home or any particular room, or use Integrated Development Environments (IDE) that support programming languages like HTML, jQuery, PHP and the MySQL. Application Program Interface (API) and use them to draw a collection of polygons that make up a building. However, they can be used to import already existing images from timeline.

HTML5

    HTML is most fundamental language. HTML5 is a mark-up used for structuring and presenting content and a core technology of the Internet. It is the fifth revision of the HTML standard. Its core aims have been to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia while keeping it easily readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices.

JQuery

   JQuery is a multi-browser JavaScript library designed to simplify the client-side scripting of HTML. JQuery is free, open source software, licensed under the MIT License. JQuery's syntax is designed to make it easier to navigate a document, select DOM elements, create animations, handle events, and develop Ajax applications.

    JQuery also provides capabilities for developers to create plug-ins on top of the JavaScript library. This enables developers to create abstractions for low-level interaction and animation, advanced effects and high-level, theme-able widgets.

   The modular approach to the jQuery library allows the creation of powerful dynamic web pages and web applications.

   Already in former studies, sketching approach was learned to be an efficient, flexible way to quickly generate, develop and communicate design ideas.

   In people there are both the users and related members with users, such as home planner, home renovator, paint companies, etc.

    In this portion we write the mention activities above and specified more activities related to the Virtual visualization with three dimension. For ex. 3D visualization, product development, download image, digital editing, etc.

C) Situations/Context/Location:

   In this portion we found the different situation and it can be access from anywhere at any time. It can be access on both smartphones and personal computers.

D) Props/possible solution:

    In this portion we found all the problems and possible solution regarding the situations. Complete the activity components or thing which they require is called props and possible solutions to manage the activity. For ex. required material with report, evolving demands of the customers.

   In product experience we mention that things which our customer feels while using this project. For ex. time saving, ensure durability and optimization of paint.

   In this part of canvas we include those parts or things which we gives to our customers with our project. For ex. User friendly software, preview facility.

E.)Product features:

   As we mentioned in functions all the function are part of our project feature but we just specified it in our project. For ex. Visualization features, calculate budget, modification of image.

   In components we had just note down that all things or equipment's required making the project. For ex. Camera, tilt brush, Launchpad.

G.)Customer revalidation:

    After done the whole thing our project is ready to use for a customer, after use of it we ask the customer about project and their factions and take the proper feedback from them as their wants/needs and they suggest as, latest home decor trends, sourcing of raw materials, provides some DIY ideas.

    The use case diagram represents the user of the project and various activities and different module. Such as user can log in and register itself. These project lets you experiment with different colors and interior designing by using virtual 3D visualization. That makes every user paint color savvy at any time and from any location. 3.2 CODING STANDARDS

    Virtual Reality (VR) became one of the leading trends in 2016. There is no doubt this technology will dominate in 2017 and in the years that follow. Real estate agents, designers and people Whelan to remodel their houses, apartments or offices, all can find an ideal solution in VR.

    The room design and decorating portions of home interior design programs have libraries full of 3D objects, such as furniture and appliances, you can place in your room to see what it will look like after the actual renovation. Apps with drag-and-drop features let you pick a table, chair or window treatment from the library; drop it where you want it in your design; and immediately view the change in both the 3D and 2D views.

    Development of VR enables user to freely explore a design model. It has made interior designing became an immersive and interactive experience. Users can view details from various point of views, which gives the advantage of interpreting design models more precisely.

4.1 SUMMARY OF THE RESULTS

    Interior design software is a helpful tool when you want to try out new room designs, layouts and decor before investing the labor and money required to complete the project. It can help you plan renovations and designs before your build, whether you're constructing a new addition or renovating a current living space.

    Our project is about Virtual visualization of decoration and wall paints using the Third Dimension. That means we can visualize our home, office or any building by incorporating the color selection, coordination and preview online room painting features and object.

It is used for any building decoration and renovation. And most importantly you can upload a picture of your home or room.

    As we tested interior design software, we looked for common tools that make designing your dream home easy. Each interior design software is broken into two parts: construction and design. The construction tools are used to plan demolitions, additions, new walls, window relocations, doorway resizing, etc. This part of the program is important, especially if you intend to share your plans with a general contractor, electrician, plumber or other professional. Interior design floor planners that create blueprints make it easy for professionals to recreate your vision and acquire the necessary permits and licenses to do the job. You can tell if a program creates true blueprint renderings by the export file formats it supports.

    Furniture for the house is imported. Suitable house furniture models are imported to the scene and scaled. Suitable materials are then applied to the furniture. Some models does not require application of materials as it is imported along with it. The furniture models can be in various file types, such as .fbx, .sbx and .obh formats. Images with higher resolutions are selected to be apply as the materials of the house, as those that has at least 1200 x 800pixels. Higher resolution will result in a more realistic virtual house. Box collider is added to prevent users from walking through the objects in the scene.

4.2 ADVANTAGES OF THE RESULT

   Normally the inspection process of buildings is based on filling out paper files during the site survey. The inspector shall observe and analyses the anomalies observed, sort them, and add comments that are timely related to the degree of deterioration, so that, later, establishing a global repair work plan for the building.

   With the use of computer system supported on the basis of data relating to the maintenance of the interior wall paint coating, the inspector shall select among the possibilities listed, the anomaly, possible cause and repair methodology that seems more appropriate. Moreover, you can add photos.

   The definition of the repair plan is based on the analysis of the data entered and selected in the system. The designer, based on the various anomalies observed and on the economic constraints, should establish a proper maintenance plan, encompassing the various anomalies observed. The computer system allows registration, during the inspection, deficiencies, and their seriousness, by supporting the planning of repair work.

   When comparing the present model with the façade maintenance model, the principal innovation concerns the incorporation of the capacity of changing the color of the painted wall with the time parameter, when walking through the virtual model. So the evolution of the deterioration of the coating material is visualized through the alteration in color.

4.3 SCOPE

   Future improvements and suggestions are such as to be to include animated characters in the scene. This can make the virtual showroom more interactive, as there are moving figures that can make it more realistic as a showroom. Future improvements can be included such as Quiz, Color Quotes and Color tips.

   It can be suggested that devices that can provide VR immersive ability such as Oculus Rift, can also be used to improve the immersive experience. More analysis can be done for virtual interior walkthrough using game engines. Thus, to improve a basic walkthrough, more time is required for obtaining more programming knowledge and a more comprehensive understanding of the software is needed for the development process.

4.4 SECURITY FEATURES

    Every User using any application, expects a true security of their credentials, their data and location, privacy and various others aspects. Our application is the one that fulfils all such aspects and really stands great on every single expectation of users of keeping their credentials and private options, secure. Whether its login details, registration details, location of users, etc. all the parameters are kept in mind and are totally secure. Forgot password features with user email has also been kept.

4.5 FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

    User experience is obtained from animation student, cognitive science student, and also social science student. According to the animation student, the door size for the bathroom is too small for users to navigate. There is difficulty at moving there at the walkthrough. 4.6 CONCLUSION

    Virtual Reality technology with its capability of interaction and connectivity between elements. Further scripting and interface design experience is needed to provide a more intuitive interactive virtual experience to users. Using gaming software, in this case, Unity3D, has the potential to create a realistic and interactive user experience for the walkthrough. Users can have the ability to navigate where they intend to go in the virtual interior walkthrough, instead of having the common guided navigation where users are unable to select the direction and location they intend to go in the virtual environment. This function does not prove available in 3d design software such as maya or 3dsmax. Thus this is an advantage of using a gaming development software for virtual interior design.

    As each 3D model is linked to a database in an interactive environment and has a user-friendly interface with easily manipulation of the data, it engenders a collaborative system. Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design provides a unique experience for do it yourselfers to become their own color expert in selecting interior paint colors and paint a room online. With this project, they have harnessed this ability and expertise on the go that makes every user paint color savvy at any time and from any location. With a range of unique features, such as the capability to painting a room online with touch-and-tap technology and preview color on walls, trim and accents, the virtual room painter allows consumers to act upon what inspires them in the moment before they visit Virtual 3D Paint and Interior Design. In addition to the inspection component, a maintenance component was developed which, being visualized in a VR environment as well as being highly intuitive, facilitates the analysis of the state of repair of buildings.
