First of all the researcher identify the background of the Hilton organization followed by performance appraisal and individual employee’s job performance.

Hilton Hotels Organisation is an American multinational entertainment company in the guesthouse industry that controls and franchises a worldwide business of hotels and resorts. Hilton was found by Conrad Hilton in 1919, today the company led by Christopher J. Nassetta.
Hilton is Worldwide which is one of the largest entertainment hotels industry in the world, and they are growing faster than ever. They are approximately 100-year history as pioneers in their industry makes them the first choice in the hotel industry for guests, hotel owners and Team Members alike (Hilton Worldwide 2013).
The latest past six years as a confidential organization, they have been working hard to overstep the expectations of their guests around the world, Team Members, and hotel owners(Hilton Worldwide 2013). If go by their December initial public offering (IPO) – the biggest ever in the guesthouse industry – they are an openly traded organization and energized about the opportunity to deliver exclusive value to their shareholders. Their return marks a fresh chapter in Hilton’s a long while history – one that started in 1919 with Conrad Hilton’s first hotel and has developed nowadays into the most famous name in global entertainment(Hilton Worldwide 2013).
Today, Hilton is working in 100 countries.

To motivate their employee in terms of good performance, according to Hilton Worldwide(2010), they provide; quality training, development programs, scholarships to the employees, travel voucher, health insurance. Also, they provide a different range of acknowledgment programs such as; an employee of the month award, vouchers and monthly lunch for the best employees.
