Content policy

Welcome students to a library of essays for your personal use as examples to help you write better work.

All of our essays have been donated to us by students in exchange for a free plagiarism check on one of our other websites.

On this site you will find essays on many topics, from business and marketing to law and finance.

On Essay Sauce, we publish a substantial proportion of user-uploaded and user-generated written content with the aim of helping students to complete their coursework through example.

Naturally, this is open to abuse and the principles set out on this page are designed to foster an online environment that protects the rights of copyright owners.

The following represent the goals of these principles:

  • The elimination of infringing content on EssaySauce.com and any related service;
  • The encouragement of wholly original and authorised user-generated written content;
  • The accommodation of fair use of copyrighted content on EssaySauce.com; and
  • The protection of legitimate interests of user privacy.

Because we receive a lot of user generated content and submissions, we cannot guarantee the source of every essay. Students donate their essay in exchange for a free plagiarism scan on one of our partner websites, and from time to time we identify that the content scanned does not belong to the student, despite prominent notices on the websites. Content generated through these partner websites is uploaded automatically without interference from EssaySauce.com.

In short, if you find an essay or part of an essay on this website that belongs to you and you do not want your work to be published, please click here to get in touch IMMEDIATELY with the URL so that we can remove it. We do not want to infringe your copyright – the sole purpose of this site is to give students essays that they can use as an example, to help them prepare their own coursework.

Other sites

We are aware that a number of other unscrupulous websites are stealing content from essaysauce.com, often passing them off as sample essays that they have “produced” because sadly these sites offer services that we DO NOT CONDONE. We do not offer any paid services whatsoever – this site is a completely free resource. They have NOT had our permission to take the content. We have started to insert markers in all of our newly-added content now, to ‘catch them in the act’ as it were, and with this evidence we are working on legal sanctions. In short, if you find your essay on another site, we didn’t put it there and we would suggest you use Google’s DMCA process (choose ‘Google Search’) to get it removed from Google as these sites will not respond to you

EssaySauce.com will monitor a contact email address for copyright owners claiming infringement to make a complaint. Notices can be sent through our contact form. When sending a notice of infringement, copyright owners are requested to provide the URL identifying online locations where content that is the subject of notices of infringement is found.

EssaySauce.com request that if it can be shown that these principles have been adhered to in good faith, the copyright owner will not assert a claim of copyright infringement against EssaySauce.com with respect to infringing user-uploaded content that might remain on the EssaySauce.com website despite such adherence to these principles. A cooperative attitude will help us to create content-rich, valuable and infringement-free service.
