Possible location for a new ice cream cafe
Company: Gelato per te”
It is an Italian ice-cream, coffee and sweet-shop. Products are prepared based on traditional recipes and the physical evidence of the store reflects the Italian heritage of the company.
Task: look for a suitable position for the sweet-shop in the territory of Budapest in my paper I will suggest Heroes Square
TheHeroes’ squareis one of the most visited sights of the Hungarian capital, i is situated in front of theCity Park, at the end of the Andrssy Avenue, one of the most important streets of Budapest, aWorld Heritagesite.
Brief History and Architecture of Heroes’ Square
The monument was built for the1896 Millennium celebrations, that’s why it is called Millennium Monument.
Hungary celebrated the1000th anniversarythat its ancestors found a place to settle down in the Carpathian Basin. Every part of the monument plays tribute to determining parts of Hungary’s history.
The memorial won thefirst prizeat the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris. The monument was completely finished in 1929 and the square received its name than too.
Since 2002 the Millennium Monument together withAndrsy Avenueis part of UNESCO’s prestigiousWorld Heritage sites.
The 36 m high Corinthian column dominates the square with Archangel Gabriel on its top holding St Stephen’s Crown. According to the story Gabriel appeared to St Stephen in his dream and offered him the crown of Hungary.
Pope Sylvester IIindeed sent a crown to him acknowledging Hungary and King Stephen as a defender of Christendom. Today you can view the Holy Crown inBudapest Parliament.
The equestrian statues of theseven Magyar (Hungarian) tribes’ chieftains encircle the column. The seven tribes lead by rpd arrived first in the Carpathian Basin around 896 AD to find out whether the area was suitable for settling down.

Restaurants/cafes in the surranding area
Gundel
Have authentic Hungarian dishes in the famous Gundel restaurant. The elegant, turn-of-the-20th-century decoration, the fine cuisine and service make your dinner unforgettable. Because of its fame Gundel is one of the most expensive restaurants in Budapest.
If Gundel is too expensive for you, taste Hungarain home-style cooking in Bagolyvr next door.
An enchanting restaurant on a small island with Mediterranean cuisine. Robinson’s lakeside location and its excellent cuisine make your dinner memorable, on a small island on the lake
I think heroes square should be a perfect location for our new ice cream cafe because it has an exellent place int he city it is easilly execcable with public transport and by car either. It is one of the most famous sites of Hungary it brings a lot of tourists. And not only Heroes square is there but also a lot of famous sites such as the two museums which also brings a lot of customers to the neighbouring.
The local population is not much near to it because there are museums and embassyis near but because of the great number of tourists i think we should focus on them.Because of the place it surelly wouldnt be a cheap location but because of the chance of great number of customers it worths the money what we should pay as rent.
There are good number of places which we could rent with all the necessery infrastructure.I think we should concentrate on summer because people buy ice creams when it is hot and thanks to global warming Hungary is becoming warmer and warmer in summer. There is a lack of competition there are three expensive famous restaurants near which have been mentioned above but they are not competitors to us because if people want to have an ice cream fast then they wouldnt go to a expensive restaurant just to order a ice cream which is probablly not home made and its not a great quality as ours.So there is no real competition in the surrundings.
For opening hours i suggest that is is enough to open at 11o clock because the crowd of tourists only arrive later. But ont he other hand the shop should be open till 10 o clock at the evening because at night the heroes square is beautiful at night thanks to the publis lights .
Barriers or difficulties could arrive from the huge renting fee otherwise i dont see any great barriers of choosing Heroes square insteaad of the other spots. There is a great number of tourists which alows us to have higher prices and because of the lack of competitors we could make a great business there.
All in all i would like to suggest the board to choose Heroes Square because i think it is the best place to open a new shop.It has more benefits then negitv drawbacks. The only drawback could be if the wrong flat is choosen near Heroes Square .There are a great number of tourists and no competitors i cant think of any greater features. In conclusion Heroes square is the best place to open a new ice cream cafe.
