Literature Review
Very recently, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Darwish Al Qamzi, who is a reputed officer at the tourist department of the city, has reported that the Government eyes an oasis of safety. In order to make this possible, the city requires a highly intact security system. The city has been known to invite a number of tourists from around the world. Under the conditions, in midst of becoming true representatives of our country, we do forget to bother about our own security. This is the reason that justifies the security system on the city to be highly active. The police themselves would not be sufficient to provide the type of security that the city demands as of now. The demands of security services would be more at places like hotels, malls, banks and all those that have been mentioned by the company as the places of services. Considering the rate of growth of tourism in the country, this seems to be a wise step to have such a security system. Even the high population of expatriates in the city is likely to raise such need of the security services. (Absal, 2010)
Only a couple of months ago, there was a statement from British boxer Amir about the security concerns in the city. This was related to the 2010 commonwealth games to be held in Abu Dhabi. The star boxer had suggested that the city would not have security problems. Now, if a person who holds such values has such high expectations from a city, it becomes the responsibility of that city to live up to the expectations. As common wealth games is likely to have a number of eminent personalities and also a number of public places would be used in the process, the country would require security systems of the type of Abu Dhabi Security Systems. Definitions
Expatriates: These are people who have settled in a particular country even though they have their birth place or their origin is in some other country. UAE has a high percentage of expatriates that ranges over 80%.
Security Services: These are agencies which provide security to people at the various places in a particular locality. This is of both public and individual purposes. As far as individual purposes are concerned, it is generally for the VIPs and otherwise at places of public, it becomes of everybody’s concern. Considering the high public gatherings in the city and also the visit of so many eminent personalities, it becomes very essential to have security agencies functioning in full flow in the city.

The reason for the same is that there are so many options for the customers these days that they would not settle for anything incomplete. Chapter 3 Results
The research was done to estimate the need of security services in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of UAE. It was justified by the fact that the city required a strong security system so as to conform to the present conditions prevailing in the city. As per as the present, the stories of Abu Dhabi to be amongst the best places of tourism in the world has become well-known. The findings of the research suggest this regnant idea about the city. It has been found that tourism in the country is growing to such large extents that the concerned police staffs have had to look for private means to fulfil the security requirements of the capital of the country. It has also been found that hotels and malls have become places of more frequent visits of the people. One can note that at these places, the city can’t keep the Government police officers to provide for the security. This also shows that the people in Abu Dhabi which also includes the expatriates and the tourists to a large extent spend a lot of their time enjoying outside. This enjoyment would have to be backed by a strong security system.
The literature also reveals that the people of the city have become highly conscious about their safety when it comes to health and environment. The Lieutenant Colonel was of the view that he was eyeing an oasis of safety in the city. These statements are only evoked when the people of the city would have approached the Lieutenant in that regard. Had this not been seen, the desire to have an oasis of safety would never have come in a person’s mind. This also shows that safety of the public had become a benchmark for the people of the city of Abu Dhabi.
The other major finding of the research is that the people of the outside world have very high expectation from the city’s security services. Even the ace British boxer Amir was of similar concern. This gives a clue to another finding. The impression that the city has in front of the world, is that of a safe and sound place. When there are so many terrorist activities functioning to success at so many places in the world, it certainly becomes highly advantageous to have an impression of this regard. This also suggests that in times to come the amount of tourism would further increase. So, once again, we see that the city would need private security systems as the times to come are even more demanding.
The literature also shows that risk analysis of the city and its people has also become highly essential these days. This is because; the significance of customer satisfaction has been increasing over the years at a continuous pace. This culture is not likely to change in the future. As risk analysis is one of the major concerns of the customers, it has become an integral part of the tasks of the Abu Dhabi Security Services. So, as per as the findings of the research, one can state that the present scenario certainly demands a better security system in the city which can be fulfilled by the company.
Chapter 4: Conclusions and Recommendations
Summary
The principle of undertaking this research had been declared to provide the best manned services in terms of security to Abu Dhabi. In order to make this possible, the company has also pledged that it would listen to all the requirements of the customers and ensure that it is able to fulfil the same with maximum possible efficiency. The company had also pledged that there would be enough training given to the employees of the security services so to implement such a security system. The present literature review and the findings of the research have given emphasis to both the above principles of the company. The type of customer satisfaction that is required in the present situation would never be possible without giving training to the employees.
In the thick of the world where innovation knows no bounds the company would have to provide the best of technological advancements in providing security to the people of the city. So, it has kept security and technology as one of the major areas of servicing. In conformation to the high rise in tourism, the company is certainly correct in taking such an initiative. Most of the tourists, who visit the place, do so for short spans of time. In order to track their crime if any without many intricacies, the company would have to be advanced in its ways.
Also large expectations of eminent personalities of the world make it all the more necessary for Abu Dhabi to have a highly sincere private security system. Even the embassies in the capital city need to be highly protected so as to prove the fact. Once again, this confronts to the company’s values of providing the best security system at all places of public interest in the region. Hence, the present situation of the city and the objectives and principles of the company match are supplementary to each other hence justifying the latter’s significance.
Discussions
There are various factors that relate to the findings of the result. They have been enlisted as follows:
The first of these is that after the recent recession that the country saw, there had been a downfall of about 28% in tourism of Abu Dhabi. Now that the country is recovering from the losses, it is said that the capital eyes a growth of 10% in tourism. If this has to sustain, much of the Government provided police force would be busy in maintaining law and order of the place. Under the conditions what is required is a private agency that can take care of the other major requirements that have been mentioned in the areas of services of the company.
Also, the growing percentage of expatriates in the city has made the residents of the place all the more concerned of their individual security. This is the reason that technology, customer satisfaction and risk analysis are the areas that have become of vital concern these days. This had led to the competition amongst the security companies as well. Hence we see that training of the concerned security staff is extremely important to meet the current competition.
Also when the world is facing such a lot of activities of terrorism UAE is one of those places that has never heard or come across any such activity in its vicinity. This makes the celebrities most confident of the security system of the capital city of Abu Dhabi. Just in order to ensure that the beliefs of these eminent personalities are justifies, the city needs security agencies. This is the reason we find that ace boxers like Amor from Great Britain has regarded Abu Dhabi as a safe place for the 2010 Common Wealth Games. Only the internal security systems would satisfy this concern. It also justifies the voluminous and skilful requirement of security personnel at hotels in the city. Also the stadiums and places where spots activities are more common place require similar safety thinking.
Recommendations
Even this noble initiative to provide security services to the city would go in vain without doing a feasibility study of the city’s requirement at each of the places that have been listed. The company should be able to distribute the work force in such a way that there are adequate staffs at the required place. The reason for the same is that every event has its own priority. If the management approaches the company for its services, it should be able to estimate the required number so that other places are not devoid of sufficiency in the process.
Other than this, the company should study the strategies of each of the competitors. As per as the city’s plans of laying an extendible hand towards the development of tourism, the demands of security services are likely to increase. In fact, the company would face tough competition from all the mentioned names in the first section. So, only a proper integration of technology and ideas would do the company any benefit in the future.
Also, it is required that the company conducts consistent literature surveys. This would ensure that Abu Dhabi Security Services is able to fulfil any latent demand of the customers. All news that are posted on newspapers of the genre of Khaleej Times and Gulf News are important for planning the security strategies of the company in the future. Moreover, primary research should also be done apart from the secondary research as here. This is because; the company would get better reviews on direct interaction with the customers. This could be in the form of direct interviews, questionnaires and observations as well. Even a continuous feedback of all the employees should be taken. This is essential so as to ensure a perfect human resource management in the company. It suits the current requirement of customer and employee satisfaction of a company.
