INTRODUCTION

Tourism in Brazil , characterized by the tourist offer both Brazilian and foreign to a wider range of options.

Tourism is the activity of the tertiary sector the fastest growing in Brazil. In recent years, the government has made ??many efforts in public policy to develop the Brazilian tourism , with programs such as Vai Brazil looking to lower the internal displacement, developing infrastructure, tourism and enabling manpower for the sector, and increase considerably disclosure of the country abroad.

This work constitutes a study of the tourism potential of the municipality of Ibira�u, located in the Holy Spirit, based in agribusiness developed on site.

This mode is termed as rural tourism agrotourism. One of the concepts used in existing agritourism is:

RELEVANCE OF THE TOPIC

Currently, in the presence of conflicts generated by the relationship between nature and society, highlights the importance of a strategy that promotes the development of people in critical positions, accountable and participatory.

The clear need to change the behavior of man in relation to nature, to promote under a model of sustainable development, the compatibility of agricultural practices and economic, with positive effects evident by the quality of life of all issues are gaining importance increasing the current socio-economic scenario and make this study relevant.

BACKGROUND

The theme is justified by the agrotourism as an alternative development for rural areas.

How Ibira�u has several farms, the development of agritourism in the region can help stabilize the local economy, creating jobs indirectly in activities related to this activity (trade in goods and ancillary services), and generate direct business opportunities (housing, leisure and recreation).

The agritourism is a mild form of promoting sustainable development and to pursue multiple activities in rural areas, within which the visitor has the opportunity to know the rural areas, agricultural activities, local products, traditional cuisine and daily lives of inhabitants of the regions as well as the elements of civilization and the authentic features of this space, with respect for the environment and tradition.

Coupled with environmental education, this type of tourism also brings awareness of tourists and local people to protect the environment (encouraging conservation), the historical and cultural values.

THE PROBLEM OF RESEARCH

Choose and implement activities that enable the promotion of rural economic activities potentially sustainable (adding value to agricultural products and handicrafts of the property and the region) is essential to characterize the agritourism and allow a competitive advantage to farms in the municipality of Ibira�u.

The problem to be investigated is the following question to be examined: what are the attractions in the city of agrotourism present Ibira�u?

OBJECTIVES

LIMITATION From research

This study will focus on agri-tourism farms in the municipality of Ibira�u, the state of Espirito Santo. The agritourism is approached as a differentiating factor in achieving competitive advantage for tourism activities.

METHODOLOGY

The methodology used was based on data gathered through research.

The literature search was the first to be held through references in books and websites related to relevant issues addressed and the municipality in question.

We tried to know the reality of agrotourism in the city, its attractions and infrastructure available.

Subsequently, the documentary research was carried out based on the main Inventory of Tourist Offer Municipalities of Espirito Santo. This work was carried out by SEBRAE / ES in partnership with SEDETUR (Department of Economic Development and Tourism in the Holy Spirit) and BANDES (Development Bank of the Holy Spirit). Its main purpose is to understand and organize the tourism potential of the cities of the Holy Spirit.

Was performed subsequently, exploratory research in the form of informal conversations with the landowners and tourists, in order to meet the expectations of the local landscape, its infrastructure, handicraft products already marketed.

STRUCTURE OF WORK

The dissertation is divided into four parts.

In Chapter 1 an introduction is presented containing the proposed work, the relevance of the topic and the rationale for your choice, goals, limitations and methodology.

In chapter 2 will be a theoretical discussion of issues related to the proposed theme.Chapter 3 will be used to characterize the city of Ibira�u, provides data about its history, natural attractions, cultural attractions and agro-tourism in the region.

Chapter 4 will discuss the results obtained as well as proposals to be implemented in the municipality, based on activities already undertaken in other regions.
