Approximately 2,300 species are registered as endangered or vulnerable under the ESA. ESA is the Endangered Species Act of 1973 that states the preservation of species that are vanishing or defenseless through all or a significant portion of their range, and the conservation of the ecosystems on which they depend. (NOAA Fisheries, 2013) Humans are now considered to be the central cause of the increase in the rare animals.  As the populace rises, individuals have sliced, scorched, and hacked habitats through these animals’ homes, obliterating species at an astronomical degree. The speed of trashing the habitats gone in a matter of seconds and animals are soon faced with a life or death situation.  Each person can help save endangered animals, even by just helping a little.

The ESA is an excellent organization, but more organizations help and supply you with the information that can make changes. WWF or World Wild Life is one of those groups. They give you plenty of option to help. From leaving a donation to adopting an animal and receiving a stuffed animal that resembles the real one.  They even encourage you to share the topic they post on their page and share it with your friends and family. They believe that the knowledge from reading those posts will encourage the change to do better and help. The organization is highly respected with the 1.1 million supporters and counting. (WWF, 2017)

If getting involved finically wise isn’t your cup of tea then this might save you some cash. Try to avoid goods created from endangered animals. Illegal wildlife exchange tasks are retained by the user’s demand for products encompassing the animal parts from animals like tigers, sea turtles, sharks, and rhinos. The procedures to get ahold of these goods are frightening and inhumane. Most animals are alive when these prized items are rip apart from their bodies.

The defining of sharks is a prime example of this torturous crime. The poachers would find a sum of sharks then have the crew strip them of there fins and then dump them back in the water. Where then the sharks sink to the bottom to die. Without their fins, they are incapable of breathing under water due to being so close to sand. Their gills get filled with sand and cause them to suffocate. If they somehow survive, they tend to die from hunger. They wouldn’t be able to hunt if they couldn’t swim.   The use of smartphone applications like WildScan can allow an instant report illegal wildlife trade in your area and, the ability to convey unlawful trades.

If you more of a hands-on type then you can offer your time to guard the wildlife in your area. Biota sanctuaries other places are dwellings to a lot of significant species. You can help by volunteering at one of these places to protect the animals. When recognized WWF will award merits and such to people, projects and programs that have provided an impact on the conservation of the environmental world and ecological expansion.  The awards that are given shows that everyone can make a difference.

According to WWF,  (WWF-freshwaters, 2017) freshwater ecosystems are home to more than 100,000 acknowledged species of florae and other living things and are now one of the greatest scarce environments in the world as a result of the human expansion, contamination, and climate change. To help end or diminish the number of deaths due to the many choices we make as humans and make the home wildlife accepting. Having cans with fastening tops, secure pet door at nightly to prevent enticing undomesticated animals into your home. Sterilize birdbaths often to prevent the spread of disease.

In the end, the amount of endangered species intensifies every year. Scientists even calculate that the swift demise of species we are considering today is projected to be in ranges of 1,000 to 10,000 times higher than the natural elimination rate. (Gavrilles, 2014)  As individuals, we can help save animals’ habitats and reframe from destroying their homes. Being mindful of the things we purchase, where they come from and how they are made. All the more so, extinction is a natural progression, things like pollution, deforestation, and global warming help accelerate death. The assistance to help the endangered animals is extremely encouraged. Especially, if humans are the ones contributing to speeding up the process of endangerment to these animals. If help starts now these animals now can be saved before there’s nothing left.
