Our company have come out with a service to provide the building material which is the permeable concrete named as the Thirsty Green Concrete. The thirsty green concrete specimen has been tested for the rate of infiltration rate, void percentage, permeability and strength to deliver the best quality of our products.

Nowadays, parking areas, roadways, walkways and pavements are examples of the impermeable surfaces that collect large volume of water from the rain instead of being absorbed into the soil. An imbalance in the natural ecosystem is created and promote abrasion, floods, groundwater level reduction and waterway contamination. The water accumulation on a surface can be categorized as hazard. As the water accumulated, it makes the surface become slippery for the people. Pedestrians who are using the sideways may slip and the drivers are prone to lose control, increasing the risk of injuries and accidents for the people. Switching to permeable membrane or porous pavement can help in overcoming these problems as these surfaces do not block the natural water infiltration into the soil. From that, our products help by allowing the accumulated water to pass through it and go to the drainage system. There are more void spaces in the permeable concrete, allowing the water to pass through it. The fine aggregate used to fill up the voids are eliminated to yield more voids thus more water can seep through the concrete. This implementation helps to create a safe environment and also reduce the risk of pollution.

There is a growing need for recycling the waste tyre with the ever-increasing vehicles. Annually, the waste tyre generated was estimated around 57,391 tonnes and about 60% of the waste tyres are disposed via unknown routes in Malaysia. These waste tyres held at the waste tyres disposal areas contain toxic and soluble elements which cause the depletion of biodiversity. Waste tyre management has become a significant environmental, health, and aesthetic problem that is not easily solved. Based on this problem, we help to protect the Earth by incorporating the waste tyres with our products because the use of waste tyres as a concrete additive suggest a new possible disposal solution. Scrap tyre tube particles are being used in our products which help the concrete to acquire higher mechanical strengths and rate of flow when the water pass through it. This creates another alternative way to recycle the waste tyre instead of being piled, landfilled or buried. This helps to reduce the pollution and increase the efficiency of using our permeable concrete.

The Thirsty Green Concrete also helps in improving the water quality for commercial uses as water has become the basic need for the people. Our products come with an overall system which consists of three different layers. The concrete is placed as the first layer to allow the water to be absorbed and flow passes it into the drainage system. The second layer is the metal net which is being used to support the concrete. Initial larger particles are halted at the surface, lessen the penetration to the underlying layers while the finer materials carried by the water penetrate the surface. However, the finer materials will be trapped as they percolate into the metal net. Trapped organic materials breakdown over time reducing the amount and volume of contaminates that reach discharge water courses are reduce. The last layer is the drainage system, made up of durable plastic, which is connected to the local stream. By allowing rain events to penetrate the pavement to the underlying soils, the first flush of the paved surface is contained on site. Surface runoff that must be held in detention ponds or added to the stormwater surface runoff can be prevented, which need to be treated before it is returned to the local streams. This provides a better filtration of unwanted visibly large substances from the water and improves the water quality to be consumed for daily uses.

For our products, we will do regular consultation and discussion to prepare the plan for the overall system in order to meet the needs of our customer needs and the regulations set by the local authorities. The installation of the system will be conducted under the supervision of our trustworthy engineers and architects to ensure the system is working well. We also provide the service for the maintenance should there be any problems and difficulties regarding our products. We will try our best in finding the suitable solution for the problems to avoid unnecessary accident and pollution that can affect the safety of users and our customers’ reputations.
