In the late 19th century, Paul Gottlieb Nipkow, developed the first ever mechanical module of television. He succeeded in sending images through wires with the help of a rotating metal disk. Again around 1907, Boris Rosing used the Cathode ray tube in addition to the mechanical scanner system to create a new television. These two experiments brought two different kinds of Television: Mechanical Television and Electronic Television.
Mechanical Television:
Mechanical Television is a television system that relies on a mechanical scanning device, such as a rotating disk with holes in it or a rotating mirror, to scan and generate the video signal and a similar mechanical device at the receiver to display the picture.
