The Deepwater Horizon oil spill is one of the biggest disaster ever been occur in industry oil which occur on April 20, 2010, in the Gulf of Mexico on the BP-operated Macondo Prospect. It kill eleven innocent people and many injured people in the marine it is also considered the largest marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry and it has estimated to be 8% to 33% larger in volume than the previous largest oil spill .Soon or later ,the researchers and scientist has estimated the total discharge at 4.9 million barrels (210 million US gal; 780,000 m3). After many several failed efforts it still contain the flow, the government decided too seal the well site on September 19, 2010. Reporters was informing the world in early 2012 indicated that the well site was still leaking .Next , the fire was to strong that it cannot extinguish it and soon later on 22 April , the horizon sank, leaving the well part of gushing at the seabed and causing the oil spill in USA waters .
The real cause of the disaster is that the deepwater horizon was drilling the Macondo very well under 5,000 feet of Gulf water , and then more over 13000 feet under the sea floor to the hydrocarbon reservoir below . well , the environment is cold, dark, distant and under high pressures and the oil and gas reservoirs , when found , exist at even higher pressures which is thousands of pounds per square inch , compounding the risks if a well gets out go -the control and the major cause that the cement failed to seal the well, the crew lost control of the fluid pressure in the well.
It happens a movie was film by Mark Wahlberg in 2016 which is Deepwater Horizon . Which has released world wide and make a huge budget in box office profit . They have been made 121 million (USD) worldwide .People has been taken an interest a lot because it been a true event. The film was also nominated for 2 grand oscars in 70th British Academy Film Awards . The director and the crew work hard to make movie successfully and they made it .It also that the movie was very interesting and emotional for me.The showcased the events of the explosion.
Moreover, the ecosystem and economy that cause by the huge disaster , well its have been host which is estimated around 8,232 species which is fish, mollusks, birds and many more of have been effected from the oil spill around the area . The scientists been discovered that the oil spills causes 40 time more polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) before spill . PAHs contains a lot of chemical that pose the various health risks to marine life and also human. Well, the chemical were most concentrated near the Louisiana Coast . but in certain level it has spread to some areas off Alabama ,Florida, and Mississippi .It considered the biggest public health crises from a chemical poisoning in the history of the united states and also that workers and the crews of removing the oil have been suffered long therm health consequences . In 2010,May 2016 seven people of fishermen that were working in clean up crew were hospitalise.

Sceintist estimated 184 millions of gallon were spilled Next, after the spill effect , the impact of the disaster were heavily felt in the globally economy and Bp itself.A few activities like fishing, offshore exploration and very much tourism were halted by the oil spill.In addition, stricter regulation have been introduced that oil and coal mining industries has been ban in few places on some legislation enacted and place on oil to avoid future similar occurrence.If the disaster happens again it can cause a huge bankruptcy . The oil disaster have been affected the cellular function of the killifish a common baitfish at the base of the food chain. It also harmed the development of a larger fish such as mahi-mahi and reduced the number of juvenile bluefin tuna by 20 percent . Prior to that, an explosion rocked which 600 million rid it produced 33700 gallons of oil per day . Moreover, the exact number of required monthly inspection were performed varied over time . On 4 September 2014, The U.S.A District Judge Carl Barbier ruled the BP were very guilty of gross negligence and willful misconduct under the part of Clean Water Act (CWA).He much described about Bp actions as “reckless” while the part of Transocean and Halliburton actions were “negligent” . He were apportioned of 67% of the blame were for the spill to Bp around 30% to the Transocean, and 3% to Halliburton. Bp were issued a very much statement that strongly were disagreeing with the finding, and much saying that the courts has made their decision that it would be appealed .
Last but not least , on 8 December 2014 , The U.S.A supreme court rejected BP is a legal challenge to a compensation were have been deal over the 2010 Gulf of a Mexico oil spill. The settlement agreement were had no cap , but very much that BP initially estimated that it would pay roughly around $7.8 billion(329 billion ringgit which is a lot of money in Malaysia) to compensate victim.
