Introduction:
September 11, 2001 a day of grief in the United States history and the deadliest day to ever be in the history of New York City. A day america would never forget. Nearly 3000 people were killed, more than 6000 were injuired. Three hijacked passenger planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in NYC and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. While the 4th plane crashed into a Pennsylvania field.
Two weeks after the attack Al-Qaeda terrorist group took responsibility for the attacks, despite all the evidence against them, which includes the 19 hijackers who were all linked back to the group, there are still many theories about the September 11 attacks.

The events of the September 11 attack are commonly known as the following:
At 8:45 am, it was a clear Tuesday morning, people doing their daily jobs and morning routines. At 8:46 am, the American airlines flight 11 strikes the north tower of the trade centre. At 9:03 am the hijackers crash United Airlines Flight 175 into the South Tower. At 9:37 am, on Flight 77, the passengers call their family members and notify them that the plane has been hijacked, they wrestle with the hijackers, and the plane crashes into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. At 9:59 am, The South Tower collapses. At 10:07 am, on Flight 93 hijackers crash the plane into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. At 10:28 am, the North Tower collapses. At 5:20 pm, The neighbouring third building, Seven World Trade Center collapses (history.com)
In total 4 planes were hijacked and almost 3000 people were killed. The Al-Qeada group were immediately blamed and America took action by going into war, although it’s been 17 years since the attack, the theories never stopped. There are still so many unanswered questions about this topic so the studies concerning the attacks are not sufficient.
Rationale:
The questions that will be discussed in the research are: How did the twin towers collapse? Were there explosions planted in the towers? Did the US government know about the attack before it happened? If so, what was the purpose of the attacks? How did the third tower collapse when it wasn’t even directly targeted? My hypothesis is that the September 11 attacks are not what the media has shown the US citizens and there is so much more to the story that will be proven though these questions when they are answered.
Method Design and Procedure:
The method that will be used to test my hypothesis and collect data from people about their opinions and points of views on this topic is a survey, through Survey Monkey. It is the easiest, fastest, and most suitable method to collect data from people. The survey would be given to the citizens of the United Arab Emirates, both genders, and ages ranging between 13 to 40. I think that all people are aware that 9/11 happened and I would like to have a look at their opinions about this topic. I would ask different kinds of questions that may or may not prove my hypothesis about the attacks. It will mostly be a agree or disagree survey to see if people agree with these theories.
Expected Results:
If people agree with the questions presented in the survey, if they are open minded about this topic and they listen to more than what the media tells them, this will prove my hypothesis correct.
If people disagree with the questions presented in the survey, If people are myopic about this subject and close minded, if they believe what the media says then it will prove my hypothesis wrong.
The expected results are to aid people into opening their minds, and add a deeper understanding to the topic of politics and media.
Conclusion:
Raising awareness is something that must be done for certain topics. Many people are blinded by the media. If my studies prove to be efficient and my results are one day published, I would like to be the key to the change of people’s mind sets. In conclusion, I hope that my studies and my hypothesis prove to be correct and they will be further discussed in the research paper.
