Vans “Off The Wall”
Did you know that Vans are the best skateboarding shoes of all times, well I will be telling you about the brand Vans. First I will tell you why I chose this topic. Then I will tell you the five main different types of Vans, the history of Vans, some facts you need to know about Vans, about the two brothers James Van Doren and Paul Van Doren. And lastly, I will be telling you about the Vans gear.
First, I will tell you why I chose this topic. I chose this topic because I really like their shoes. Some reasons why I like their shoes is because they are very durable, cleanable, and washable. Those three reasons are very important. Durability is important because you can use your shoes for a while and they won't fall apart. Very easy to clean is also important because if you get your shoes in the dirt you can just wipe it straight off. And washable is also very important because if you get your shoes in mud you can just throw them in the washer are put them in a bucket and wash them("How Vans Became the Shoes Everyone's Wearing-Again").
Now I will tell you the five main types of Vans. The five different types of Vans are the Old school shoes, the Slip-ons shoes, the High tops, the Athletics shoes, and the Era shoes. The Old school shoes are Vans with a thick stripe across the shoes. The Slip-on are Vans that have no laces or tongue, you just slip them on. The high tops Vans are basically the Old school shoes but higher. The Athletic Vans shoes are almost like the Old school but they don’t have the thick stripe. And finally, the Era Vans are made for skateboarding and tricks("The 10 Most Iconic Vans Sneakers Ever")
Third I’m going to fill you in with the history of Vans. The History of Vans begins on March 16,1966, in Anaheim ,California, when the two brothers Paul Van Doren, Jim Van Doren, and their two partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia opened The Van Doren Rubber Company that produces shoes to the public. That same afternoon twelve customers purchased their shoes. Later it was called The House Of Vans("History").
Next, I will be telling you some facts you need to know about Vans. Five facts you should
about Vans are, In Autumn of 1993, Vans introduced their first snowboarding boots. The public that bought their shoes finally named the shoes Vans. The slogan (Vans Off The Wall) means not ordinary. The company went bankrupt in the early eighties. And finally, the Vans company is dedicated to the skating community("30 Surprising Facts About Vans").
Almost about to finish, I will tell you about the two brothers Paul and James Doren.
If you don’t know yet the two brothers are the creators of Vans. Paul Van Doren was born on 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts, went to school tell eighth grade and dropped out at the age of fourteen. After dropping out he became interested in horse riding, so he went to horse riding. Then his mother insisted him to get a job at a shoe factory. James Van Doren was born on 1939 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, he started working at a Northeastern University for a rubber company, then he joined his brother Paul(""Paul Van Doren" on Revolvy.com").
Finally, I will tell you about the Vans gear. Vans has a lot of gear, they have snowboarding boots and bindings. Their snowboarding boots also have a thick stripe across the boot like the Old school shoes. Vans also have skateboarding gear like skateboards, knee pads, shoes, helmets, and much other gear. Vans also have some really good socks(Gear).
Now if you have been paying very close attention you probably learned a lot but if you didn't then you probably don’t. If you did listen then I have told you about why I chose this topic.
