When it comes to the area of history, one can assertively argue that a knower’s perspective is both vital and indispensable in the pursuit of knowledge. When overviewing historical knowledge, it is realized that the learning was obtained via an individual who had gathered information throughout time and resources. For instance, Isaac Newton, Isaac’s Newton hypothesis of gravity and his three laws of motion subconsciously act as foundations in today’s society and for over the past 60 years, relied upon as ‘basic knowledge’ in everyday life. Newton’s discovery was not all his to claim to a certain extent, yes, he attained the momentous observation through further leading to his insightful hypothesis of gravity –  viewing an apple tumbling from a tree , thus allowing him to further hypothesize that -there ought to be a constraint that quickens the speed the apple as it came closer towards the ground. However, his discovery did not just root from negligible perception. Newton’s drive to desire his hypotheses was fabricated and provoked by other prominent researchers, Galileo Galilee's and Johannes Kelper. An idea such of gravity doesn’t necessarily thrive from no past knowledge or past perspectives upon the topic. Both individuals speculated and theorized laws, such as the three laws of planetary movement by Kepler himself and Galilee's theory of falling bodies – weight affects the speed of an objects fall. This example manifests how Newton’s discovery was somewhat aroused by the shared information beforehand. Newton advanced his method of reason through mutual learning, his assured observations and natural reason. Moreover, this further demonstrates how previous and familiar knowledge can vividly influence the quest for an individuals knowledge, without such a schema Newton’s discovery would not have been so devisable. Furthermore, another example of such is the memoir If this is a Man, written by Italian Jewish Primo Levi in 1947, is a novel of the author himself accounting his time in the holocaust of the Second World War and his survival of the Auschwitz concentration camps. Throughout the book, it is made aware to readers of Levi’s vivid personal experience from being arrested to his graphic encounter in the torturous concentration camps. The novel written in first person allows one to live through his eyes and re-encounter the events Levi went through, a passage from the book reads “We climb down, they make us enter an enormous empty room that is poorly heated. We have a terrible thirst. The weak gurgle of the water in the radiators makes us ferocious; we have had nothing to drink for four days.” (Levi 73) Levi’s account provides knowers today and knowers at the time with an emotional perspective of what the camp was like from a first-hand perspective. Without such a view on how the Jewish felt and the discrimination they went through in the war one would hold a limited perspective of World War 2, one would not obtain such evocative perspective. Moreover, Levi shared his personal knowledge of the holocaust that allowed for a perspective to be shared, that further granted for Levi himself to withhold is own personal knowledge that shaped his perspective in acquiring knowledge and sharing that through his novel.

Additionally, one can further claim that; similar to history, the sciences involve the knowers perspective as it permits speculation and propositions that can lead to the development of new knowledge or adjustments to preceding knowledge. The value of perspective, despite its bias, may manufacture unique outlooks that allow for further scientific research. Without a knower’s concept, theory, or hypothesis researchers would have no starting point to further develop analysis or simple adjustments. Furthermore, the dextrotatory case of Nobel Laureate within the discipline of medicine, Chinese born chemist Tu Youyou made the revolutionary discovery of artemisinin, classically known today as a standard and typical treatment for the invasive parasite, Malaria. Youyou started with an idea, a possibility to screen distinct herbs for anti-malarial properties, and found in depth discoveries in Chinese medicine. Youyou’s perspective shaped by her cultural background, preceding experiences and academics allowed her to be familiar with such herbs and Chinese treatments that further enabled her to utilize such as a foundation treatment for Malaria. Youyou was immensely sick as a child, and that particular event provoked her to be so passionate about medicine evoking her to studying the subject in throughout university in China. Similarly, Youyou was greatly influenced by her sharp intuition and was also guided through her memory and significant exposure to the Chinese culture that allowed her to discover such a drug and treatment by going back to her ‘roots.’ This specific example provokes the idea that scientists all hold their schema and background that can reveal aspects in research that lead to great discoveries that other ‘famous’ and ‘intelligent’ researchers may not have obtained. Furthermore, despite the natural sciences being a field that arouses the notion of extinguished personal bias, in this event, the knower’s perspective was exceedingly significant in the quest for knowledge and the ignition for extraordinary progress and innovation.
