The airline, Alitalia, has been affected by recent developments due to the virus that spreads to all countries of the world called Corona. Like other companies in the world, losses have increased in Italy. The following image shows mortality statistics in Italy, as of today, April 9, 2019. As the deaths increase in large numbers daily, which increases the negative results in airlines like Alitalia.

Alitalia reported on its official website that various changes occurred in the travel plans of thousands of customers. It is seen that customers must achieve for their safety.

This photo proves what the company put on site to protect customers and its interest in setting the necessary procedures to face all the expected risks during this period. Proved airline Alitalia on the active role played by such crises. However, what’s the losses arising from this crisis?

The first step is carried out by Alitalia that it has developed an economic rescue plan related to the biggest Corona virus. It is sad that the government previously offered sale of the bankrupt airline has not found a buyer yet. In 2018, the Alitalia airline collapsed despite being a new company. The reason was financial pressure from high operating expenses and with a competitive environment. Alitalia did not succeed as well as the rest of the airlines in the world. Travel restrictions and low demand have pushed airlines to cut roads, cut staff, as well as ground planes. Not only that, this company has suffered before because it declared bankruptcy before the emergence of coronaviruses that caused a disaster in the world of aviation. But has this company really managed to tackle this global epidemic and protect its customers? Despite its bankruptcy and the frustrating conditions, the company went through before, it has played an effective and rapid role in protecting its customers. Meanwhile, the Italian government has published a decree on (18 March 2020) stating that an amount of 600 million euros has been allocated to continue Its work and not be stopped. The government has taken this important step in its need to confront this global epidemic in order not to cut its citizens abroad. As I mentioned earlier, faced the risk of closure before Alitalia appearance and killed Coved 19 more than 2,100 people. The reason is most of the flights. Alitalia is currently owned by Etihad Airways, a 49% company, based in Abu Dhabi. And 51% owned by the Italian management team.

Conclusion:

Based on the above, in the introduction it seems that Italy is a European country surrounded by the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Alitalia Airlines began its career after World War II. It launched its first four G-12 aircraft and was chartered.

This airline received significant support from the British government. Alitalia Airlines had domestic flights from Rome to Turin and Katina. But in 1947, it launched its first international flight outside the boundaries from Rome to Oslo, Norway. Following this important achievement, Alitalia added new aircrafts instead of the old ones, to provide better service for the customers. It achieved tremendous success after this step. In the 1980s, Alitalia used a new technique, but it turned out not to be profitable. However, Alitalia airlines have improved the material and moral state, and thus have created an organization called Alitalia Team.
At the moment, Alitalia Airways has:
– A fleet of 144 diverse planes.
– It carried more than 24 million passengers.
– It also transports 265,000 tons of cargo annually.
– Launches flights to more than sixty countries.

It appears on the body paragraph that the name Alitalia Airlines has meaning and is “Italian wings”. Alitalia also appears to be in 19th place. A table showing Alitalia Airlines’ fleet is also included in the body paragraph. The table shows that 93 aircraft are in service. However, as the new Corona virus spread, losses increased in Italy, leading to negative results for Alitalia airlines. Alitalia confirmed on its official website that there are changes in travel plans for thousands of its clients. It also reminded of the importance of protecting the customers from this virus. One of the actions that Alitalia Airlines has taken to protect its customers from the Corona virus is to wear medical masks to protect them during the boarding and descent of the plane. As well as while they are at the airport. Also, the employees wore these medical masks.

This indicates Alitalia’s interest in its clients. Although Alitalia suffered many material and moral losses and conditions of frustration, it played a very important role in protecting its clients. A large sum has also been allocated to continue its work during this states, and not to stop it. The Italian government approved this decision not to isolate its citizens from other countries. However, due to most flights, around 2,000 people died because of Corona virus. Alitalia is currently owned by Etihad Airways and it’s divided into two parts:
– 49% as a company in Abu Dhabi.
– And 51% as an Italian management team.
