Abstract :

In this report I am going to discuss the worldwide issue which is hunger in Somalia, this issue had a global attention but it wasn’t enough to solve it or to save Somalis people and children from death. I searched for reasons, causes and real grids of Somalia famine and the reason that pushed me to look after this issue is that I am seeing thousands or maybe millions of families all over the world wasting food and water without any consideration about its value, where on the other hand, there are billions of children, women and old men who are dying every day because of hunger in Somalia. So I thought that maybe a simple report about this sadly tragedy will open closed eyes on it and maybe it will be a motivation for everyone who reads this report.

In fact, I couldn’t do real interviews so I tried my best to collect real ones from the internet as much as I can; I also looked up for books and reliable articles online.

After searching I found out that there are many factors led to the Somalia famine such as civil wars, lack of rain and so many other factors.
However, I figure out that the famine of Somalia can solved if each individual took it as his/her responsibility and act like if it was his/her own problem, for example, everyone of us can daily save some money, food, water and cloths then give it to the red crescent in the end of every week, we also can do campaigns monthly to collect donations.

Introduction:

As I mentioned before, that Somalia famine become a global issue because there are lots of loss who are dying every day and instead of using these individuals in producing, the world is losing them. The sad part is that this famine becomes a tragedy and a phenomenon! The pictures of Somalis people, their bodies outlook and the way they die is something can’t be handled by normal humans, they have nothing to eat while we confused what to eat and what to drink, even the plants, animals and the land are not doing any better than humans in Somalia which is really a disaster.
And here are some summarized real reports and researches:

BBC report (1) said: (( more than quarter million of Somalis people dead since the famine hit Somalia in 2010, and most of them were children under five years old ))

Al Jazeera report (2): ((Somalia was hit by a scary drought and the world did not respond fast to help Somalia to survive from that drought and people paid their lives))

And so many other sites and books evening meetings tried to discuss the issue of Somalia and tried to find a way out to help threaten people in Somalia but sadly to say that, it’s too late and there is no time for discussing the issue, the right thing to do now is just to move on the solutions they thought about and applied it on reality.

When I was searching, I read a lot of researches and a lot of chatting on social sites that call for Somalia and suggesting multiples of solutions that could help if the responsible authorities were listening.

From what I have investigated, I found some useful actions that could help Somalis people:

Donation
Volunteering (provide medical care for free)
Global campaigns (to fight the drought)
Supply animals and plants

Methods:

As I consider this report so important because of its contents I followed several scientific methods to be specific, clear, and reliable. What I did was searching for the topic in google, news TV channels sites, newspapers sites, online books and interviews, then I re-wrote what I knew and what I’ve collected after that I started to analyze the information I got to come out with the results, I also did citation for every information that I copy pasted from a certain site. Finally, I suggested solutions to help solving the issue.

Moreover, I used multiple equipments to search and do the report; I used internet, laptop, Microsoft office word, Al Jazeera website, BBC website, UN news center, google, and my own information and experiment.

My proceeding way was collecting the information, analyzing it, coming out with solutions and make suggestions toward the goal.

Results:

In order to point for the most special thing that I had observed in the beginning of this report is the dangerous of this phenomenon and its effects on the humanity.

One of the results I figured while searching that famine leads to death and real example of that the tragedy which happing in Somalia where millions of children and people are dying every day.

And here is a real story told by one of the Somalis mother, she said:

((My little family lost all its goats, because of drought and my husband decided to leave the region looking for food for our children. We walk on our feet 120 km then we stopped by the street side for three days where one of our children dead because of hunger, we wrapped him with some rags we had with us and we buried him in the street side, we cried on him a lot. Finally, a driver volunteered to take us to Mogadishu and we left our donkey in the street side dying.

Discussion:

Searching about the famine in Somalia left the cover on the sadly truth that may bring the limitation living in Somalia if it kept to go the way it is now because not only human who are dying from hunger but also all other features there even the land it-self.
As I figured results for famine, I also discovered the relationship between these results which is the threat of living. In addition, these results we came out with are almost known by the whole world and yet no one did an observed action to stop it and I think many countries who are suffering from such a terrible disasters having no replay from other safe countries, so I strongly call for whom ever can do something or even motivate governments to move a step forward in solving this tragedy.
