In order to pursue improvement in healthcare, many number of organizations are in order such as, The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and National Quality Forum while other health care providers and researchers have certain goals to develop better nursing care quality, support the care measures, validate them and indicate the domains which can improve the quality of the healthcare. These measures which are used to indicate the quality of the healthcare can be used to inform the practitioners, consumers and policymakers which ensure that the quality of care is provided (Daniel D. Cline, 2011). The roles of Compassion, Advocacy, Resilience and Evidence-Based Practice are a necessary component in healthcare. While working in the clinical setting of a Hospital, the environment comprises of 200 beds, a faculty staff which includes 30 doctors employed in rotating shifts and nursing staff of 50. The hospital is acquired under full ethical and treatment applicability considerations, capable of performing medical procedures with full safety and providing the qualitative health care facilities.
Compassion
Compassionate care is important in nursing because this makes the patient feel valued, it also gives them reassurance that everything will be implemented right. Delivering compassionate care to patients are likely to achieve outcomes due to keeping the relationship established between the patient and nurses. According to the American Medical Association, the first principle that is necessary for the health care of the patient is the right to compassion. A number of families highlighted the importance of compassion and ensured to rank its features among their healthcare needs. However, two groups of nurses were taken. The first group was assigned which consisted of nurses with interpersonal relationship compatibility and a high sense of compassion towards their patients as compared to the second one. After the two-week study time, patients were taken into interviews and asked about their experiences with the two groups. The patients that were under the care of the second group of the experience in the setting found no such amusement in their health quality care. However, the patients that were under the care of the first group showed highly regards of consideration of their treatment which is that they implicated the use of compassion in taking care of their patients. This certainly implies that taking care of a patient with highly compassion regard can create an astounding health care quality impression among the patients (Sinclair, 2016).
Advocacy
For better promotion and deliverance in providing effective and efficient health care, advocacy is one of the key strategies. In a wide range and a broader perspective, health promotion practitioners can be seen working in the various areas of sectors, organizations and agencies. Their efforts are directed for the obdurate improvement of health care facilities and qualities in the entire population. They are the basic and elementary need for the promotion of health care. For the purpose of the adequate equalities among the healthcare quality, advocacy will be used as a way of tackling health inequalities, but somehow, this is not universally accepted. Here, in our set up, we have set a number of advocacy techniques and individuals as a health promotion practitioner to educate the general public individuals and try their best to minimize the inequality.
Resilience
By the general term, Resilience is the ability in which an individual can reach back safely to the state of normalcy, from a traumatic event that recently occurs and cater it with a focus and future optimization. In the nursing profession, it is considered very important as an imperative quality. The nature of the nursing is highly stressed and because of the stressful and traumatic events that might occur throughout the whole working hours, providing the same health quality care can be devastating to the mind and tough for the physical health as well. We introduced resilient nurses in our health. These nurses had the capability to refer back to the stage as normal as nothing had happened after a traumatic event that occurred in the hospital. These nurses have the confidence and experience to bounce back to its normal stage as soon as the situation is handled to take care of her/his patients with the same care compassion as earlier. In the case of sticking to the same event, they are more likely to become stressful while living in the same situations. Furthermore, studies have shown that resilient nurses are less likely to develop any kind of stress disorder and more likely to remain in the profession of healthcare and nursing (Mealer, 2012).
Evidence-Based Practice
An Evidence-Based Practice is an approach we will be using for the clinical practice through collecting, processing and implementing research and their findings to improve that specific clinical environment. The perk of this approach is to find the best and suitable method to provide the highest quality with the most cost-efficient care of the patients. Here, we implied a specific research environment and study questions among the clinical practitioners of the nurses to find the best relationship that works as compassion in the caring of the patient. The research showed that among every other patient, we used different techniques like compassion, sympathy, empathy, and being friendly. The results showed that a majority of the patients like their nurses to be compassionate in their care (Chrisman, Jordan, Davis, & Williams, 2014).
Summary
The quality of healthcare should be improved as it is imposed as one of the highlighted problem majority of the patients when administered in the care of the nurses. We designed a clinical setting of a hospital where we imposed multiple health care components such as Compassion, Advocacy, Resilience and Evidence-Based Practice and concluded that for better and quality healthcare in a community, these components should be included.
