He is the Federal Minister for Education of the United Arab Emirates. Also he is the Chairman of Warid Telecom‚ Wateen Telecom‚ United Bank Limited. Warid telecom defines its goals aiming at customer satisfaction with excellence its field of operation by efforts coming in the form of team work. The visionary leadership of the company has given Warid Telecom this opportunity to serve the people with services of high quality. Throughout the hierarchy of Warid Telecom it is expected from each employee to put in dedicated effort in the form of team and as an individual too to help the organization achieve its goals.

The organization, Warid Telecom doesnot distinguishes its employees based on caste, creed, color, sex or religion. Line Managers’ duty keeps track of all the employees coming to work. Irregularities for turning up for work can lead to expulsion from the organization to disciplinary actions. The company property to be used for personal purposes is highly prohibited. The company demands from each of its employees to keep all the policies and negotiations strictly confidential, breaking these rules can lead to severe punishments down to criminal action.

Recruiting

This is the process which involves job seeking candidates specifically. Warid telecom’s HR department takes initiatives to give advertisement in newspapers and on company’s website for the upcoming positions available in the company. Interested candidates submit their circum-vitae vial mail or in person. Once they are with information of the applying candidates they evaluate each individual according to their internal policies. Selection criteria varies with the position and job profile required by ht e organization. The on-to-one interviews can be with Division head, recruitment manager or a panel interview. Orientation

On joining, a new employee gets orientation lesson which too falls under the HR department. Each individual is introduced to other employees so that there is a good work environment. Warid telecom has a policy of signing a bond with their employees before they are sent for training. The bond they sign is for one or two years stating that the employee cannot leave the company for the given duration. The Duration of the bond depends upon the cost incurred for the training of the employee. In case they break the bond they will have to fill the company of all the charges which are involved in the training.

Performance Management System

Warid Telecom gives immense importance to performance management system. Employees are given annual appraisals and increments depending on their performance. The supervisors discuss among themselves about each and every employee and his/her performance before judging the increment or appraisal of the employee. In case the performance is declining they are motivated to work hard to achieve goals which they couldn’t achieve. This process occurs once each year.

Job Design

Companies like Warid telecom which hold huge customer base and high money flowing into the business hold the potential of turning ting around towards the UAE side. As the company base expands it is showing the potentials of the company. Also with new technologies such as Wireless broadband voice and data networks(WiMAX) launched in Pakistan it makes a huge leap in progressing the society as well as affecting the GDP of UAE.

Although its competitors provide it a tough fight it still has the potential and capability to leap far ahead of them. Some of the suggestions provided by the customers are: Seth culture should be avoided, Network should be enhanced in much more cities, More staff to meet the rise in demand and services, More decentralization and motivation amongst the employee for innovative ideas.
