Rap Roots
Hip-Hop is a sub-culture created in the early 1970’s by the Africans-Americans residing in the south Bronx in New York City, it became more popular out of the New York community in the late 1980’s and 2000’s it became the most listened music genre around the whole world. Hip-hop uses the use of a lot of slang language and it also uses many metaphors and similes. hip-hop was originally made so the person writing the lyrics could express his felling’s in any way he wanted to. Hip-hop started to turn into rapping in the late years of 2003 mostly because of rappers like 50 cent, Eminem, Obie Trice, Dr. Dre, Pimp C, Chamillionaire, Busta Rhymes, The Notorious B.I.G (Biggie smalls), Big Pun, XZibit and J. Cole etc.
I have no idea if you ever heard that rappers which are usually dark-skinned did not like white skinned people rapping and singing hip-hop, not that it was racism or anything but they thought of it as more of a disrespect until Eminem, Big Pun, Vanilla Ice, Yelawolf,  Marcelo D2 (Brazilian rapper),  Apathy and Macklemore. White rappers had been really judged but then Eminem started rapping with Dr.Dre (which was African-American) he made great hits like Forgot about D.R.E and Crack a bottle, Eminem also rapped with 50 cent, Xzibit, Yelawolf, Chamillionaire and D12. Eminem then acted as rabbit to his life movie 8 mile where he made great raps and songs that blew like 8 mile, Lose yourself, Rabbit run, Time of my life etc. Eminem made great hits before he made the movie he was rapping and making his new album Raw & Uncut, he rapped with XZibit and other rappers.
Chamillionaire is a African-American rapper that do some clean raps which is kind rare to find, let’s take for example his song Hip-Hop Police does not contain 1 swear word also Pigeon John is another one that rarely swear. Chamillionaire made great hits like the famous “They see me rollin’” he also made his album the ultimate victory which did not contain parental advisory.
Dr.Dre, XZibit, 50 cent, Eminem and other rappers created something today known as G-Rap which actually means Gangsta Rap, Gangster or Gangsta rap is the kind of hip-hop in a thug lifestyle view because of drugs, alcohol, violence, guns and territory, today is almost the most used style of rap groups like the N.W.A used a lot of G-Rap and Dr.Dre uses a lot also he says in his rap “The Watcher” how it is g-rap and that they created.
Slick Rick is the first british-american rapper in almost the whole hip-hop history, he made songs for the game GTA San Andreas which is a game where you play as a gangsta living in San Andreas. That aside he also was featured in the song Hip-Hop Police.
Iggy Azalea is one of a few female rappers, Nick Minaj is another hip-hop style singer, Iggy Azalea made songs like “Fancy”, “Black Widow”, “Murda Bizness” and AZILLION. She made her album such as The New Classic and “Murda Bizness”
J.Cole is one of the few rappers that don’t use gangsta rappers thus he do make some weird raps like “Born Sinner”, “The Bomb”, “Villuminati” and “The Sideline Story” he is counted as a white rapper thus he is mixed
50 Cent is one of the few rappers that still do G-Rap example “In da club”, “P.I.M.P” and “We Up”, 50 cent is one of the biggest rappers in the whole gangsta history
John Cena is famous because of WWE but he was also famous because of his raps his also one of the few white rappers, he did many songs feat. Wiz Khalifa which does also G-Rap
Slang is one of the most languages in rap but words like nig** and dope are really used in raps the nig** addresses to a black person in the slang language and dope means drugs like marijuana and weed
The Notorious B.I.G was on of the first rappers to die at a early age he was murdered when he was 24 he is the most ranked and influential rappers of all time. He was murdered by another mafia group
XZibit is a voice actor, actor, rapper, radio personality and record producer. He made many raps but he is well known for his voice and albums like “Man VS Machines”, “40 dayz & 40 Nightz” .
