The impact on society becomes very visible upon the examination of computers and music. For many years people thought technology and music had no link to each other until the 1951. Music became mainstream and by the year 2017, people could listen to it on their hand-held devices most notably, Walkman, cellphones, iPods, or any other electronic device that has memory and can store data has the capability of being used to listen to music. Lately with the integration of our brains with computers almost literally, creating music with the brain has become a popular hobby. Sami Yusef was one of the unique musicians who was able to create music using his view of the world.

Sami was a student from Morocco who was born to a Moroccan father, and a Tunisian mother. Sami’s father Abdel was an IT Technician and had a hobby of collecting old music CD from the early 1980s. His mother, Asma was a homemaker. Asma was grocery shopping when she saw Abdel and had an instant spark, almost like love at first site. Abdel asked Asma out and got married. Sami was their only child that was born a year after Abdel and Asma got married. Sami loved listening to music since Abdel put on music every time he was in the house. Sami listened to almost all the songs that his father used to listen. Sami thought that music in the era led people’s lives to be dull and without a motive. Sami started working under Abdel, so he could collect and own his own CD collection. Sami came across an enlarged sized CD. Sami had never seen something this big. Sami bought the CD and the player used to play the big CD as well. He slowly understood how to play the device. He put the CD on and the first song he heard was something out of space and magical and something he has never hear of before. The artist was also pretty new to him. The music was about flying out into the space literally and that didn’t make any sense because the early humans had no clue if the outer space was in hospitable for human beings. The artist was Black Eyes Peas and Sami was probably the few who was really familiar about the artist and the work the artist did. Sami also started listening to Sinatra. When Sami was 18, he decided he wanted to have a future as a musician. Although he also knew that musicians don’t really make enough money, so he decided to pursue a career as a Computer Scientist. This major still didn’t keep Sami away from music. After getting his degree, he worked as a SQL Database Administrator in a reputed company and his interest in music started to deplete. The same thing that had happened to his parents and his near and dears, is happening to him too. People don’t want to become boring but the circumstances they are in, makes them become or indulge in having boring habits. Sami decides to perform in a local auditorium with the music he created all these years. He gets a standing ovation by the crowd. The crowd was amazing by a weird but indulging music. Something people have never listened to before. This sparked a sense of joy in Sami, something he hasn’t felt while working as a Database Administrator and since the last time when he listened to Black Eyed Peas. Sami became popular among the neighbors and he started getting invitations to perform at events. Although Sami was afraid to perform in front of the big crowd, he agreed to give it a shot. His performance was like he had a born talent to be a musician and this made Sami feel so much more alive. He noticed that with the integration of computers, he can promote joy, happiness and remove people from their depressing lifestyle. After a year, Sami was packed with performance at so many events. He was booked for the whole year. Sami took his Computer Science skills and created a hologram that could be sent via cloud. There were some tours he could not do because they clashed with each other. For situations like these, Sami sent a hologram to his fans in that country and that hologram displayed live video by Sami and a live audience so that his fans could enjoy that experience from the comfort of their home. At this point in his life, Sami decided to quit his previous job as a Database Administrator. This meant that he had more time to make new music and to perform at more events. Sami was a hit in Morocco, and the neighboring Middle Eastern and African countries. People now paid for the trips to come to Morocco to see his shows and enjoy Sami’s live performance. Sami was a world-renowned star. One day when Sami was on a trip and saw an endangered species of animal that he though was extinct already. Sami realized that we are have an animal within us and we are only tamed to be nice and kind. Computers are making us endangered because we as human beings would rather spend time on computers than talking to people. Sami realized we cannot live like this because we are wasting our time. His passion for music was completely his instinct and he realized that as human beings, we all have passion in different things of life and need to pursue that instinct. This will make people comfortable and like what we do.

Sami changed the world and the dullness in people’s life is becoming clearer when they listen to Sami’s music. People are starting to become aware that are they can keep their depression at bay by listening to sensational albums created by Black Eyes Peas who have the capability of filling joy in people’s lives. Sami said why do we live life without passion and love for one another and instead hating each other and backbiting behind people. Sami later devoted his time with his revolutionary music and transforming humanity with music. He made way to promote people to create music using computers and with all their senses. This is one way he made sure people feel alive again and not just waiting to die one day which we all know we are but why not live life without regrets and have fun and enjoy our time here as much as we have. Let’s give a new meaning to life.
