Essay: Why Bernie Sanders was a good candidate

Controlling an entire country is no easy task, viewing nature and support all around makes the difficult task of a president less tense. First, Bernard Sanders the politician what makes him a possible candidate to the United States 2016 elections.   Secondly, I selected the Palace of Versailles as the new home for the possible new US president. The palace has an astonishing history and architectural history that will be brought into Bernard’s new capitol building at Stillwater, Oklahoma. Lastly, The Palace of Politics will be built to house the future president of the United States, Bernard Sanders. How will Bernard Sanders incorporate into the new Palace of Politics?
Bernard Sanders, or as the American people know him “Bernie” was born in Brooklyn New York in 1949. Sanders is a prominent politician and human being. Sanders attended the university of Chicago; he later moved to Vermont and worked as a carpenter and documentary film maker. Bernie’s political carrier began in 1981 winning by ten votes for major in Burlington New York. Sanders focuses on issues that affect every American; issues such as affordable housing, progressive taxation, environmental protection, child care, and women rights. Bernie is a Democratic politician running for the 2016 United States Presidential office. Bernie’s promises are tempting an well represented by the actions he takes. As president he would more than likely keep the country in great shape and keep its people educated and economically stable. Some of the issues that Bernie points out are income and wealth inequality, college tuition free and debt free, sustainability, living wages, affordable housing, fair and humane immigration policies, and racial issues just to name a few. Bernie has said mentioned the fact that the government is of the people, by the people, for the people that I am beginning to believe his words; if he were to make the people believe in the government again Bernie deserves a chance at the presidency and a seat at the new Palace of Politics.
Monumental and memorable building are those you call architecture; Palace of Versailles is a piece of architecture. The Palace of Versailles is the greatest palace in France, that is not only an opinion but a fact. The palace is also known as the Chateau of Versailles; it was built in 1623 as hunting lodge for Louis XIII. The palace was the house of the French monarchy for over one hundred years and through those years the palace went through many renovations and additions. Through the years the palace became the home of the king and his family following by becoming the home of the French government and those who served the king. The gardens of the palace are one of the touring features in Paris; which will become a key feature to the Palace of Politics in Stillwater Oklahoma for the new Unites States president. The chateau is its own town because over the years the additions to the palace became more and more. The chateau was a place for the king to live and run France, but it kept growing in order for the king to keep his family and his government close. The palace was also inhabited by the king’s service staff. The palace consisted of two apartment sets, one for the king and one for the queen, the garden, a key feature to the chateau, salons, each representing a planet, the kings’ bedchamber, which over sees the gardens, the hall of mirrors, and the Chapel Royal just to name a couple of locations of the palace. The main locations to the people of France were the court and the offices of government. The Palace of Versailles is a historical piece of architecture that holds the history of France. It contains a piece of history and importance in every room; this historical architecture is a perfect example to place the home of a leader. The leader that will be the voice of the people. The Palace of Versailles will contribute to the design of the Palace of Politics for the new United States President Bernard Sanders.
A successful architect builds with design in mind, but never forget that in order for the construction to become an important part of historical architecture has to make the inhabitants content and capable of fulfilling all duties. The Palace of Politics is meant to be the home of the future Presidents of the United States of America. Upcoming President Bernard Sanders must feel the space to be stress relieving and relaxing in order for him to take on the heavy task of being the new U.S. President. The Palace of Politics is indented to be similar to the Palace of Versailles but yet different; the Palaces will share similarities such as the gardens, hall of mirrors, historical mural, marble court, and the Museum of the History of France. The garden will be a key feature to the Palace of Politics, it will become a journey for anyone entering the Presidents home and the countries government. Also, it will be the Presidents view helping him to relax and see the beauty of nature as the beauty of the country he is running for the people. I relate the gardens to a journey because the United States have gone through a journey; wars, crimes, economic drops, and many other issues, to be where we are now. Issues that Bernard Sanders is aware of and will attempt to make an end to. Throughout the gardens there will be statues of those symbols that have changed the history of America; for example, the Palace of Versailles has over 50 fountains representing Frances battles and history. Hall of Mirrors or as the French call it “corridor of light” is one of most famous rooms in the palace. The idea of designing a “path towards the light” shows the strength of the American people; after every shocking event the people come back from the atrocious events and see the bright side and work together to help one another. The President is the foundation of the reconstruction and the “light at the end of the path,” the hall will be to remind those who lost hope, the president along with the government and people will be there to help bring America up from anything that makes it fall. The history of America is a repeating sequence of battles that have made the country stronger which is why the American history mural will be added to the Palace of Politics. While touring the Palace of Politics tourist will get a feel of what America has gone through to become the strong country it is today. Sanders is one of the eldest congress man, he has seen America at its best and worst he has been a helping hand to the people even before he became president; Sanders has passed more amendments than any other congress man. The historical murals are a representation of the French Revolution which marks the end of a ruling monarchy; like in the Palace of Politics the American historical mural it’s an important part of the Palace because it tells the story of the country. The Museum of history in France is located in the Palace of Versailles; the museum holds the treasures and memories of France. Throughout America there are many museums that treasure ancient pieces that remember us of happening events. What better place than the house of the people to treasure all the memories this country has gone through; adding a memorial museum to the Palace of Politics will be a place for the treasure of our history to be housed. Lastly, the Political Court house will be placed in the center of the palace. The Political Court house will house major decisions that would affect Americans as well as the decision place of passing amendments and bills.
