Something is going to change, it will suppose to make the U.S. better than what they are now or at least have a new change. One new thing in the upcoming year, will be the next president. This year is the primary elections and Bernie Sanders has decided that he will go for presidential candidate in the democratic party, but he still identifies himself as independent democratic socialist. He is a long serving independent in congressional history. Now not many people see him as a good president, but he has good views that he is fighting for that will give change in this government. Now not many people want to choose Bernie Sanders for presidents but all most the half majority of American voters are agreeing to fight for the same views. America needs a new change in presidency some people might not agree with some of the views but they know they want a change.

Bernie Sanders started his political career as the mayor of Burlington, Vermont. In 1981, he was elected (by 10 votes) to the first of four terms as mayor of Burlington. The start of him being a big time career led him to the Congress and right now he is hoping to the go further as in the white house. Sanders taught at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and at Hamilton College in upstate New York before his 1990 election as Vermont's at-large member in Congress (sanders.senate.gov) The Almanac of American Politics calls Sanders a "practical and successful legislator." Throughout his career he has been focusing on the middle class and the change throughout society.(sanders.senate.gov 2)

Bernie Sander’s campaign has been a big thing to show how he wants people to vote for him or at least give a piece of thought on him throughout the political candidate election. His campaign main trademark is a call for a political revolution which asks for everyday citizens to become active in the political process and be the change they want to see on any given issue. Also he is trying to mean that he wants to fight for a new change in the political system. Now two of his main things that are shown in his campaign is that he wants to fight to take corporate money out of politics and wants to change into a social democracy. Therefore because of this, it is known that it allows corporations and wealthy elite to pour unlimited amounts of money into campaigns. This is shown to be a big thing on how it effects the changes into politics.

Bernie has big views on changing into a social democracy. Which means to that he wants to believes media, business and utility unions should be nationalized, or it is a leader who takes the approach of sharing wealth in a manner which allows citizens to enjoy the rewards of a civilized and developed nation. Sanders way of a social democracy is not Latin American-style socialism where businesses and utilities are seized and nationalized. It is also not like communism where much of the economy is mainly controlled and the rights of individuals are taken under the heavy boot of government. (Okla Elliot, Ph.D) Bernie has stated about the term of social democracy as: “I think it means the government has got to play a very important role in making sure that as a right of citizenship, all of our people have health care; that as a right, all of our kids, regardless of income, have quality child care, are able to go to college without going deeply into debt; that it means we do not allow large corporations and moneyed interests to destroy our environment; that we create a government in which it is not dominated by big money interest. I mean, to me, it means democracy, frankly.’’(Okla Elliott, Ph.D 2)

Bernie Sanders main issues are healthcare, education, immigration, taxes, military and guns and campaign finance. Sanders want to fight for healthcare. He wants to launch a universal, government provided healthcare plan.anders voted for the Affordable Care Act, but believes that the new healthcare law has not gone far enough. Instead, he wants to try healthcare for everyone, a single-payer system in which the federal and state governments would provide healthcare to all Americans. Sanders’ team has been estimating that this will cost about $13.8 trillion over ten years. He would want to fund the plan with a health surcharge or “premium” to be paid for by employers and individuals and by a new progressive income tax, raising rates for those making over $250,000. His top individual income tax rate would be 52 percent. (Desjardins)

As the younger people have started to notice they have the ability to vote. They have come to the realization that this might effect a lot of things for them. For younger voters Sanders has been able to catch their attention with announcing that he wants to try and give free tuition at public colleges and universities.(Desjardins 2)

Bernie main issue with taxes is that he wants to try and raise income tax rates for those making over more than 200,000. Tax capital gains the same at the dividends from work. From this it is know that if income tax rates are raised it mainly means that it will to raise income taxes to everyone. Sanders main reason for raising taxes it because e he wants to pay for his healthcare plan that is $13.8 trillion. With raising the income taxes, the top of the scale would pay 52 percent in income taxes. Sanders has plan to also increase other fees or taxes including Social Security taxes for higher incomes. Many people might not agree with how he wants to work it out but it is known that it might not work because he has planned it where it will only affect certain group.

Therefore with all of Sanders reviews it is being shown that the plans that he has been planning will be a big thing with taxes. As Sanders want to give American free healthcare and free tuition, it is noticed that it will raise our taxes up the roof so out of all the issues Sanders has been planning for the only thing bad is his taxes and his way of fighting to give things for free. It is agreeable on all the things he is fighting for but his plans might not make through

One other main issue is Immigration. Sanders want to offer a path to citizenship.

Sanders has said that most of the undocumented immigrants in the country now should be given a path to citizenship. He voted for the senate immigration bill 2013, which would have increase border security and issue immigration status to undocumented residents once some of the security issues have been set and worked out. Other candidates have also agreed to building a wall where the borders are and Sanders agrees with it but his main purpose because for that is that he wants better protection and security.

Now it is understandable that people don't want to vote for Bernie Sanders because the way he wants to go into the political system as a independent democratic socialist. Also meaning he is unaffiliated with any political party. As Sanders want to give American free healthcare and free tuition, it is noticed that it will raise our taxes up the roof so out of all the issues Sanders has been planning for the only thing bad is his taxes and his way of fighting to give things for free. It is agreeable on all the things he is fighting for but his plans might not make through.

Sanders entering the presidential candidacy is big thing also since he is an independent democratic socialist. One of his reason for joining the democratic because he would have a chance to easily get on the ballot and he has a chance to debate with other candidates. The only reason he did not go independent is because he said that it would require an enormous amount of work and time just to get on the ballot in the 50 states. Bernie Sanders has so many changes that he want to do that it makes him an ideological purist. Why this? Because he is promising to do many things that we know it might not have a chance of happening. It is understandable that the amount of the American voters are more younger voters and with the plans that Sanders has been using
and telling people, many of these young voters agree and like Sanders because one of his main views in education was to try and do free college. American voters have a chance of voting for a good new president and we know that the big percentage of this will be the young voters. Hopefully it will be known for people to vote for a president that is able to give a chance for new ways like Bernie Sanders.

There are somethings why Bernie might not be a good president but if he has been fighting or playing the game for while, because if Sanders had the audacity to think he will stay in the candidancy long enough to pull together a real big movement, it might be because he's done it before. Sanders earlier years offer a blueprint for how a self-described socialist can, with the right breaks and enough persistence, make it in electoral politics (Murphy). He didn't emerge into the big political system overnight. He almost never made it into politics at all. In Vermont he discovered it wasn't enough to hold lofty ideas and wait for the revolution; he had to learn how to play the political game (Murphy 2).

In conclusion, there are some people that might not want to vote for Bernie Sanders but with the American voters, the majority agrees with all the issues that Sanders has been fighting for as in education, economy and jobs, etc. Sanders might be fighting for the same things since he started his career but it has been told by a chairwoman that: ”Sanders is well-recognized for his principled leadership and has consistently stood up for middle class families," DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said in the statement. "Throughout his service in the U.S. House and Senate, Bernie Sanders has clearly demonstrated his commitment to the values we all share as members of the Democratic Party.” (Dan Merica). People should vote for Sanders because of the amount of power he has to keep on fighting for his ideas and the new change that might positively affect the American People.
