Stress Essay

In this Reading Response I will be speaking on Stress. First, I will begin defining what  stress response is, appraisal, the amygdala, the HPA axis, cortisol and the hippocampus. I will discuss examples of these and if they are environmental or societal stressor. To continue i will then  discuss personal or situational factors impacting the stress response  by describing one personal factor and one situational factor. To conclude I will explain how stress impacts the development of learning, memory, and health by explaining what long-term potentiation and long- term depression.

To begin, According to Jones,Bartlett (2012) stress response is specifically, the instantly, intermediate, and extended results on the body. These processes will be explained in terms of “pathways,” which set in action the organized an physiology involves specific name out- side the world of your everyday vocabulary, you may find the nature of this chapter to be very specific and its contents very de- tailed. Most likely it will deserve more than one reading to fully grasp, understand, and appreciate how the body responds to stress. The importance of a strong (state of knowing someone or something well) with human (body structure/related to the study of body functions) as influenced by stressful stimuli becomes obvious when the necessary steps are taken to effectively deal with the signs of sickness they produce, especially when using relaxation ways of doing things. For example, it is important to know how the body functions when using clearly stated/particular putting pictures into your mind, seeing in your mind, music therapy, and listening to the body’s signals.

First,  I will discuss Appraisal , stress judgment of value refers to the process by which people, figure out and deal with a stressful event. Stress judgment of value explanation, of why something works or happens the way it does, is concerned with people’, process of figuring out the worth, amount, or quality of something, of the event, rather than with the event by itself/in and of itself. People differ in how they interpret what is happening to them and their options for coping. Stress judgment of value comes in two forms, first or most important and secondary judgment of value, which should be thought about/believed as two stages of judgment of value or process of figuring out the worth, amount, or quality of something. These two types of judgment of value are not impossible for both to exist together at the same time; they work in concert with one another to complete the judgment of value process. The brain part that controls emotions has been involved (in crime) in a variety of functions, ranging from attention to memory to feeling of love, hate, guilt, etc, is called the amygdala. In explanations (of why things work or happen the way they do) about the (brain part that controls emotions)’s role in conditioned fear, the lateral (brain part that controls emotions) (LA) is the first (or most important), maybe (like nothing else in the world), (connecting point/way of interacting with something) for incoming conditioned sensory stimuli and the central center (of a cell or atom) is the major output station. Recent studies point to/show, however, that (brain part that controls emotions) output pathways may be separated as a function of the type of conditioned fear behavior according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information( Israel, 2004). HPA axis is a shortening (of a word) for a subsystem in your body called the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. It describes a complex set of interactions between two parts of the brain–the (part of the brain) and the pituitary glands–and the adrenal (or suprarenal) glands that are located at the top of each (organ that creates urine).

As a whole, the HPA axis is a major part of the system that controls your body-structure-related reaction to stress. That covers mental stress (the kind you feel when you’re (overloaded and surrounded with too much of something) or upset) as well as physical stress, such as illness, (serious physical or emotional harm), and injury ( Adrienne Dellwo, 2018) .Long-lasting stress and elevated cortisol levels also increase risk for depression, mental illness, and lower (how long a person is expected to live). This week, two separate studies were published in Science linking made higher (stress-related body chemical) levels as a possible trigger for mental illness and decreased toughness — especially in teenage years. The Hippocampus  is the (brain part that helps with memory) has a (like nothing else in the world) shape, almost the same as that of a horseshoe. It not only helps with the storage of long term memories, but is also responsible for the memory of the location of objects or people. We would not even be able to remember where our house is without the work of the (brain part that helps with memory).
