Introduction to the Exam
Law Admission Test (LAT) Allahabad University is conducted by the Allahabad University (http://www.aupravesh.org/). It is an admission to the three year law program. It is one of the leading LLB entrance exam as The Faculty Of Law, Allahabad University is ranked among top 25 law universities.
Pattern Of the Exam
Law Admission Test is a paper-pen based exam of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The test is conducted to evaluate ability in different sections as
• Language Comprehension
• General Awareness and Current Affairs
• Reasoning and Mental Ability
The test comprises of 250 questions.
In the first two sections: Language Comprehension and General Awareness, Current Affairs Candidates have to answer 200 objective type questions. For each correct answer 1 mark shall be scored and for every wrong answer 1/3 mark shall be deducted.
The Reasoning and Mental Ability Segment comprise of 50 questions. Here, for every correct answer 2 marks shall be scored and for every wrong attempt a negative marking 2/3 marks are applicable.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed the following qualification examinations either from Allahabad University or any other university recognized by Allahabad University and have secured minimum 45% marks (40% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates) in the examination are eligible for the admission for the law course.
• B.A/B.Com/ B.Sc (Hons) Examination
• B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc three year degree course examination in 10 + 2 + 3 system
• B.A/ B.Com/ BSc examination accordingly to 10 + 2 + 2 or + 3 rule on or before 1987
• BA/ B.Com / BSc examination in the year 1988 or following years accordingly to 10 + 2 + 2 or 11 + 3 system and have passed a bridge course examination or the post graduation examination
• BSc (Ag) / BE/ B.Tech / BCA / BBA / MBBS examinations.
Candidates appearing in the final year of the exam can also fill in the application form.
A general category candidate seeking admission in the course must not be more than 30 years and a SC/ST/OBC candidate must not be more than 35 years.

Online Application
Students can submit Law Admission Test form online at the official website www.aupravesh.org
Candidate loading the official site, click on ‘Apply Online’
Now, the names of various entrance exam appear with the starting and closing dates of the exams.
The Candidate has to opt for the class. Once the options are selected 4 buttons appear

Candidates have to fill some basic information.
To ensure that all data is filled correctly, candidates are advised to use the Preview Application Form button and click on the SUBMIT button.
Offline Application
Allahabad University provides the candidate an offline mode to apply in LLB admission. Forms are distributed at Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University Of Allahabad, Allahabad.
Candidates have to fill the registration form and submit it to the Allahabad University before the last date.
Documents required while filling the Application Form
The Candidate will need need his/her scanned coloured photograph (3.5*4.5 cm) in JPEG format and a scanned signature(3.5*4.5cm) in .jpg format to upload while registering for the test.
Payment Process
Payment can be done in two ways: Online and Challan
Online
Once the applicant clicks on “Pay Online” button.
He/She is connected to the HDFC gateway for the payment.
Select Credit Card/ Net Banking/Debit Card.
Fill the details and take the print out of the form.
Challan Mode
If the candidate click on Challan mode.
He/She has to take 2 printouts of the application form and Challan.
This will generate an Application ID.
Post that, applicant has to fill the Challan Form and submit the fees to any branch of the HDFC bank in India.
Thereafter, a confirmation message is sent via email and SMS.
The bank keeps the first copy of the Challan and the other copy is kept by the candidate till the admission process.
Important Dates
Online Application Forms will be available- Tentatively in the 1st week of April.
Last Date to Submit form- Tentatively last week of April.
Fees
Application Fees for General/OBC candidates is Rs 600.
Application Fees for SC/ST/physically Handicapped candidate is Rs 300.
Admit Card
Admit card will be available on the website –Tentatively from the mid of April.
Applicants have to enter an Application ID and Date Of Birth to download the Law Admission Test admit card from the official site of Allahabad University. The Admit Card contains the information about the test timings, venue and the instructions that are to be followed during and before the examination.
It is compulsory to bring the Admit Card and Photo /identity proof to the exam center during the exam.
Please note: Admit Card will not be sent by post, it has to be downloaded.
Admission Procedure
After the result of the LAT, Online Counselling Registration Procedure starts on the official site of the Allahabad University and the Counselling For the admission is conducted at the Department of law, Allahabad University. The All India merit list is made on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the Law Admission Test. The candidate shall contact the university with their marks, Admit card, Fee receipt , original and photocopies of the marksheets to get an admission to the 3year LLB program.
The candidate can fill the Admission form Online/Offline. For online submission, fill details, upload photos, pay fees, For Offline mode Collect the form, pay fees and submit it at the University office. Fees can be paid Online and through Challan. For online Choose card and pay at the HDFC bank gateway. For Challan mode, Take the printout of the Application Form and the Challan. Fill the details and visit any branch of HDFC bank in India to pay the fees. After payment, download the admit card from the official site of Allahabad University. Give the exam and get admitted to the course.
