Paste In this part, I will evaluate myself as a teacher ,what attributes of effective teachers do I have and which I do not ?. It is good to start with saying that it is not easy to answer a question has been asked by all teachers, young or old ,male or female .Because teaching is a complex and difficult task that demands extraordinary abilities and it is not only about teacher traits, there are several external factors which contribute in determining the effectiveness of teacher as students and classroom environment. However, I will answer the question based on my experience of teaching .

  I believe that teaching is an crucial and noble occupation. Apparently, after the parents, teachers are the most important and initial element in our society.  Luckily, I have experience in teaching. My teaching career spans three years and includes significant teaching and managerial experiences at the early childhood, elementary, preparatory ,and secondary schools. My studying at The University of Mizdah and  Preparing Teachers Center were the stations where I started to learn how to be  an effective teacher. I do believe being effective teacher it is not about years of teaching, it is about your actions and effort as a teacher .These three years do tell the whole story of what sort of teachers I am. Humbly, I think I am  an effective teacher to great extent and I will justify my answer based on the aforementioned characteristics.

As a teacher, I am a role model who sets the tone for the class. If I  am talented enough to show my enthusiasm and commitment, my students are more likely to give in return. So I first quality I think I have it is  being positive and enthusiastic. Tauber and Mester (1995) "Teacher enthusiasm plays a central role in holding students’ attention, generating students’ interest, and developing students’ positive attitudes toward learning".Form personal perspective , teaching is most effective when students are motivated by the desire to learn, rather than by grades or degree requirements. I treated my students as teammates, not opponents and I never look down to them. Indeed, learning and teaching are challenging, however that does not indicate that we as teachers cannot have excitement in the classroom.I am trying to stay always focused and  I allow myself to be enthusiastic and find ways to let students see what is interesting about your subject. Related to enthusiasm .I keep my students engaged with a positive attitude as I enjoy teaching as we know teaching is meant to be a very enjoyable and satisfying career field ,although challenging and very tiring times!, and nothing comparable to do something with energy and love .Many of my students commented on my positive personality and they always say we want to be like you.I think a teacher be an effective  only  if they love their students and intend on caring for them with our heart. Not exaggerating, I am positive and enthusiastic in life and I display that in my classroom  by opening the door for my passion for teaching shine through each and every day and I  enjoy every teaching moment to the fullest.

 Another characteristic I think I have is Creativity .Creativity in learning is often highlighted as a skill essential for success in the 21st century. Pink (2005) claims that creative thinking is more and more needed to achieve aims in our complex, consistent world.Moreover, we all know that the most effective teachers are inventive and creative in how they teach their classes. Hence ,I for all time  do my best to come up with creative ideas and things which do not always go according to plan. In my opinion ,the mainly factual rule when it comes to teaching and creativity , an effective teacher does not complain about changes when a new principal arrives. Also what make me creative effective teacher alongside my way of thinking ,I embrace the change with my both hands whenever I see it is important and necessary ,this shows that I am  able of striking every curve ball that approaches my way in the classroom.

Mishra, Henriksen, and The Deep-Play RGroup,(2012) insisted on that creative people have the ability to maintain a sophisticated knowledge of their field of expertise by looking outside the frames of that field to come up with new ideas. Happily ,I do remember when I turned the table of elements into a rap or used an episode of The Real World to illustrate an precious life lesson or the group projects and the role-plays and the fun games to test their knowledge.

 Although creativity is something I seek at all times in my teaching style , being well prepared teacher is my priority. Prepared teacher is a sign of successful and effective teaching .I am one of many teachers who plan their teaching by first selecting the content and at some later stage in the process consider student characteristics, how students learn, establish objectives and select materials and activities that are most likely to interest and engage students .I follow one common approach to arranging the subject content is to ensure that the allocation of time reflects the relative importance of the topic area .I prepare my lesson from a to z with plan B provided in case anything happens. I write an outline and I take notes to follow during my lesson as well as preparing  my pictures, diagrams, handouts and other aids well in advance. I do not wait until the  morning of the class.

Discipline, I believe an effective teacher who is qualified in control his /her class. Rosen (1997) describes discipline as a branch of knowledge-training that develops self-control, character, efficiency and strict control to enforce obedience.When it comes to teaching, I link strictness with flexibly personality to make balance in my classroom. I think that when we look back on our schooling years we remember our strictest teachers as some of our best. I display ways to enforce rules without being too strict. For the reason that it is vital important to create trust and communication with students as well as keeping structure and organization in the classroom. So effective teacher who can balance between these two .I would impose rules and makes demands of my students, but in a way that is not threatening.

 Effective teachers can explain complex ideas in simple ways. As a teacher ,I think one of my sign of being effective teacher is clarity . According Hattie (2009) defines teacher clarity as “organization, explanation, examples and guided practice, and assessment of student learning ,such that clarity of speech was a prerequisite of teacher clarity.” Through my teaching career I developed my expertise in an academic field to not forget that students may have no prior knowledge of primary concepts that I  take for granted. I make sure to use clear instructions and explanations which help students understand and use new terminology .I believe that many concepts can be more effectively established with visual aids such as figures, sketches, tables, slides, etc. so as teacher makes everything clear in his/her classroom .

  Also to achieve more clarity ,I work on the logistic factors of materials I use in class ,for instance, I make sure my materials to be large enough to see, neat enough to read, and not to stand in the way. Also I pay attention to updating my material and adapting them according to my students needs and level. When I want to evaluate my clarity I have my teaching being observed by someone else because I cannot  videotape it ,this procedure  helped me in revealing habits that I would never notice on your own

  Linking lessons to real world learning is another attribute of effective teacher I think I have .Without any doubt , taking knowledge out of an emptiness and infusing it into an real experience guarantees effectiveness in learning .To accomplish this, I  relate my lessons to real-world applications. I remember when I was teaching in  elementary school I have lesson about weather ,so I started the school day with a "sky watch," to help my students to collect weather data .They would speak about authentic things like sun, clouds, humidity and the weather and the wind direction. and so they had fun and they  learned from realistic context.

  Continuing with my personality traits as an effective teacher ,I am active and renewed teacher as I always  keep my students thinking and producing by my effectual teaching strategies like problem solving exercises, question and answer sessions ,pairs and small group discussions. Additionally ,I avoid using the same traditional materials in my classroom for activities ,problem and discussions because I would like my students to escort new materials and the latest learning strategies other than traditional ones.

  The last characteristic I think I have is fairness .This quality is the most important one because we should be fair first as human then as teachers .I used to think about what it would be like to be one of any students ,would they want to have an instructor who treats one gender or group of students differently . Students know what is and what is not fair. It is important that you act fairly for all students if you expect to be respected.No one would like unfair teacher as it the worst thing could happen to a student. Therefore, whenever I mark cut up points on an exam question or give a low grade on a paper, or penalize someone for a late assignment, I make sure to justify my reasons and I should explain why you did so. It helps that Iwould outline comprehensible policies in both for the entire course and for each assignment. Just when I set standards, it is very important to apply them equally and consistently, otherwise I will lose credibility.

  knowing my strengths as teacher is vital to being more effective and productive ,but I would argue that knowing your weaknesses is just as important. Buckingham.(1999)claim that most organizations are built on two flawed assumptions about people each person can learn to be competent in most anything and each person’s greatest room for growth is in his or her areas of greatest weakness. At this point, I will write about my ineffective attributes .Lacking of organizational skills is my first weakness area as teacher .Admittedly ,I am a naturally messy person .I know this would affect my teaching effectiveness negatively . I need to work more on this point because sometimes I did not follow my plan and I every so often do not go after the illustration of key points and essential context which I made to help students integrate all of their work .This would put my students in confusion to follow my instructions in many tasks like reading, labs, exams, papers, lectures, etc .I think the only reason behind this is that I want to teach them everything related to my topic but I have to choose the most important concepts.

 Another ineffective characteristic I do have is lack of professionalism .Due to my short teaching career ,I consider myself as a teacher who still needs a lot to be an expert in teaching. I believe that Professionalism includes many different areas of teaching but my problem here due to years of experience. Being  a professional is an integral part of my personality as teacher and I think this will be solved by time .  After all, I think all students  deserve professional  teachers  who know what they are doing.  I think I will work unit I be that teacher no mate how old I am .

 My last ineffective attribute is  lack of technology .Nowadays ,being expert in technology definitely is a sign of  effective teacher .Honestly, I think I know about technology what is enough to build creativity in my classroom in Libya ,nevertheless. when I traveled here I discovered that I need much more than just enough .Materials keep change rabidly due to technology and I have to keep up with all the necessary updates.

Education is just like any other profession where there are space for improving skills. A teacher cannot be perfect from the first moment he/she entitled as being teacher. Educators would endeavor to be excellent, effective on all levels throughout the years and they make mistakes and learn from their mistakes to be better . Truly ,one would hope that he/she would have all the traits of effective teachers but because we are humans and different ,we cannot be perfect educators. Therefore, in these following paragraph I will state what steps to be done to be effective teacher . What makes a teacher effective? Research indicates that teacher knowledge of teaching and learning, subject matter knowledge, experience, and the combined set of qualifications measured by teacher licensure are all leading factors in teacher effectiveness.

 .Effective teaching does not occur naturally. Effective teaching is not achieved through simply knowing educational principles and theories. Effective teaching is not like a one-size-fits-all t-shirt. In order for effective teaching to occur, teachers must: master professional knowledge and skills, perform reflection activities and Seek out opportunities for professional growth. In order to be effective, a teacher must be a subject matter expert. Being a subject matter expert is more than just having a general knowledge of facts and concepts. Being a subject matter expert includes: Knowledge about organizing ideas, connections among ideas, ways of thinking and arguing and patterns of change within a discipline Beliefs about discipline and The ability to carry ideas from one discipline to another

An effective teacher must also know pedagogical content knowledge. This is knowledge about effective methods of teaching a specific content area. Effective teachers have a large number of strategies for teaching. They are also aware of common errors students tend to make and can anticipate when difficult situations may arise out of student frustration or lack of understanding. An effective teacher must engage in critical thinking, which is the process of evaluating the accuracy and worth of research and information. An effective teacher will engage in critical thinking to not only analyze what he or she reads as best teaching practices but also use critical thinking to analyze what the students' reasoning and thought processes might be. This may help to catch misconceptions and minimize classroom frustration levels. An effective teacher must engage in reflection, internally and externally. Internal reflection refers to assessing one's self-efficacy as a teacher. Self-efficacy is belief that one is capable of executing certain behaviors or reaching certain goals. A teacher must believe that he or she can make a difference in the students' lives. Research indicates that teachers who are confident and persistent will produce students who achieve at higher levels, too. External reflection refers to reflective teaching. This is the ongoing process of critiquing one's assumptions and strategies and revising them as often as necessary in order to increase a student's development and understanding. Effective teachers must continue to take courses in teacher education. The education for a teacher should not cease once he or she obtains a degree. Additional coursework will allow teachers to stay up-to-date with current best practices and principles of teaching. Fuller (1969) suggested three stages of concerns through which teachers pass on the way to becoming an effective: concern for self, concern for the teaching task, and concern for their impact on learner. There are many other more informal kinds of professional development activities that I can use as  teachers engage in regularly that can also influence their teaching behaviors. These activities may include membership in a professional organization, attending workshops and trainings, staff meetings, mentoring, and performance reviews with supervisors, among others. Thomason and La Paro (2009) found moderate to high correlations between teacher membership in a professional organization and classroom emotional support and behavior guidance.
