The earliest methods of communicating across great distances used written correspondence delivery by hand from one person to another. In other words, letters. Social media these days is empowering for students, teachers, and even parents to broaden a sense of communication. Not only does it enhance education for students but it is accessible at the touch of a fingertip. Social media is much convenient when it comes to educational purposes and it keeps parents informed and connected with teachers. According to Merriam Webster, Social media are the forms of electronic communication (such as websites firs social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content such as videos. There are so many different types of social media and each of them has a specific function.
The main focus of my paper will be the major type of social media used in education by students and teachers. The reason why I used this topic is because I am part of the young generation students who are using social media in education. At this point I will also give the majors types of social media platforms that have been use in education with their functions, then give some advantages and inconvenient of those platforms in education. Problems
This research paper was good for me because I am using social media maybe on the wrong way at school. My main problem was to complete this paper on time. I also do worry about the flow of my paper specially on the type of social medial because I was just jumping from one type to another without giving more details about each type of social media. Finally, I was confused because to talk about social media globally instead of talking about how it is working on education.
