Communications and transmissions have become the most important process in the modern day society. As human society started to join, collaborate, and globalize, it became an essential part of development. The physical contact became harder since the globalization led the communication branch out to the different world, people call, email, video call, and primarily use the internet to communicate. These actions would be impossible under the system of network. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE network lets the user access to other users conveniently. Wi-Fi and LTE technology are both common ways of accessing the internet which lets the user to share information and files over the online network. Numerous industries are working and moving towards into developing more products for consumer’s convenience. Bluetooth is unique technology compared to the two technology that supports file transfer and device connections. Users do not recognize how Bluetooth is used in our lives. However, Bluetooth gained lots of popularity. In 2008, only 5% of mobile devices were Bluetooth compatible. Today, roughly 95% of mobiles support it (McDowell).  Most uses involve communication. The research that I will be working on is Bluetooth technology. This research paper will explain how Bluetooth works and how it’s supports our development of society.

Bluetooth is a wireless system for switching data over distances that are near the surrounding and creation of personal area networks. Bluetooth connection between devices is known as a PAN, known as a Piconet, a network connection that enables two or more devices to connect to each other using Bluetooth. Bluetooth’s maximum data rate is 1Mbps and a standardized protocol for transferring data a 2.4GHz wireless link, a radio interface in the 2.45 Ghz frequency that allow data assembly and communication over short distances between electronic devices. The devices would need to pair them up if the Bluetooth devices wants to communicate each other. It’s safe, and capable for wireless transfers between devices (Muller). Bluetooth protocols clarify the setup between devices. The setup of two devices for Bluetooth is simple. Each interface will look and appear differently, but to meet the criteria of the connection, user needs to make one characteristic and features while the other one scans. After. a discovered one is found after the scanning procedure, users establish the connection and enter the PIN as instructed by user’s manual. The technology is convenient when transferring data between two or more devices that are near each other. The Bluetooth technology sends media information from one to another using a network within ten meters. Some people use it for mobile phone, for example during driving. Users would use this system to communicate even though they are driving while trying to avoid danger. Bluetooth is within a close distance and powerful, supporting data and voice services, across different types of mobile devices. Bluetooth is commonly used from the users to download photos to a PC and connect a headset to user’s device.  Wireless system replacing the cables is sufficient for mobile connection, including PC and phone transfer. For a simple definition which public can understand would be a technology that allows devices to communicate with each other without cables or wires within a short distance of each other (Miller). The technology uses radio waves rather than wires or cables to establish connection to a phone or computer.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are ways that help users with wireless network easily, but the difference between the two are distinctively comparable. Bluetooth lets exchange data in close distances for the connection between mobile machines.  Bluetooth’s main purpose is to connect devices without cables, while Wi-Fi lets the users access to the internet. This means phone is adaptable to the changes of operation with other Bluetooth devices, such as a headset and printer. Bluetooth provide the convenience of mobile devices in a simple way for the users to handle. Bluetooth, therefore, acts much like a string between the two devices by creating a PAN that can interact with devices. Wi-Fi has similar characteristics to Bluetooth, setting up a network or printing. It is also a wireless technology. Connections are established in devices to the internet networks like a local area network (LAN). Bluetooth communicates, as a Wi-Fi signal can be accessed up to 300 feet away. This refers to a device that uses Wi-Fi, like PC and tablets, are able to connect wirelessly online when the location is has Wi-Fi availability.

Wi-Fi may not be the option for users to choose from compared to 4G LTE, Wi-Fi is disadvantages. Both are connectivity system for the Internet. Unlike Bluetooth, both were deliberately designed to provide users with better and faster connection of the Internet. There happens to exist a difference about the specifications that they provide and options. It replaced wired connections, and resulted in good for the office, the kitchen, or the entertainment system, but it is not the best choice in the market as the only form of connectivity outside the range of those areas.

Bluetooth is the unique technology in the three types of connection. Bluetooth does not require a clear line of sight between the synced devices. As a device and machine communication, Bluetooth is not an IoT technology, a network of Internet that bonds together with web services interacting devices, unless it paired with a device that can access the internet. It means that the devices do not have to be facing each other, and it is also possible to carry out transfers when both the devices are in separate rooms.  There is recognizable comparison between 4G LTE and Wi-Fi. They support internet connection to the users. The first comparison is safety issue. If user use home supplies, Wi-Fi is satisfactory. However, when considering safety functions on internet connectivity, users can’t let power outages cause disconnections. Wi-Fi is only as safe depending on network administrator. 4G network is hardly open to the public and can used only for personal experience, but Wi-Fi is open publicly so even if other users are not invited, other people could use the network which causes security issues. Consumer’s password protects Wi-Fi, that aren’t known for choosing strong passwords while LTE exceed at security on consumers.

Another issue is the distance between the devices. Wi-Fi is controlled within 100 feet while 4G LTE has no issue in anywhere with coverage. When Wi-Fi is performing during the best status and conditions, Wi-Fi provides higher speeds than 4G LTE.  It is hard to discover for the users or ordinary consumers to actually figure out how their network system is performing in their house. Cellular technology has better and faster speed specification than wireless broadband also provides advantages for IoT service providers.  4G LTE is a system that shows better features than Wi-Fi, even though Wi-Fi is one of the most used network system. LTE results in providing a reliable, higher quality, and faster connection approved services to the consumers.

Wi-Fi is currently important for software to exchange the information. For instance, if users desire their IoT device to tell the another machine to operate, Wi-Fi is the method. Wi-Fi does not require company carrier system while LTE does. If users need the use of a LTE IoT device, users have to make an agreement over Verizon, AT&T or another carrier on an agreement of deal to using the data plan they provide. Management of personal cyber security and safety, for IoT that handles, 4G LTE is superior. For consumer issues regarding to less serious problems, Wi-Fi could be used. If the user needs occasional updates on software and maintenance checking, and want to be always on task of the status that the user is working on, 4G is will suit the need to accomplish the problem.

People get confused by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi because, thinking they are a similar networking system. However, they’re comparably different. Bluetooth is used for connecting computers and devices in close distances, for short contacts using relatively parts of amounts of data. It’s secure with power that doesn’t require a great amount, automatic connections between the two devices, and presents no health risk. Wi-Fi is designed and built under the consideration of transfer movement of data that contains a large amount of files between the PC and the Internet. This can cause the users be involved in need of more power and complex security which can cause a health risk when used for a longtime.

The devices that is being produced in current market are wireless, and Bluetooth is a big part of that wireless revolution. There are Bluetooth products that people consume in daily life, like a headset, watch, a tiny computer chip with a Bluetooth software establishing the connection easily (Muller). Inventor of the Bluetooth made the cable-free get rid of connectors of keyboards and mice. Bluetooth are compatible in variety of products in the market, such as the iPod Touch, telephones, and headsets, modems, televisions and watches. The technology’s advancements have exceeded the initial purpose for its creation. The health industry monitors a person’s health through an inhaler and even toothbrush from the support of the technology system. The technology is convenient when transferring information between devices that are close to together where it supports better connectivity. Bluetooth is used most of the time to transfer sound information with phones. Car industries are progressing to create and provide to the consumers using this technology with the car. The feature would include wireless phone connection and music system while the driver is driving. Not only, Bluetooth is used to connect devices, it is also covering the safety of the driver. By having to have hands-free connection, the driver would not have to be aware of the devices, instead the driver could focus on the driving safely. Car industries created an assumption that built-in wireless Bluetooth connections will be available throughout the new cars that will be releasing. Future of Bluetooth is expected to have information for broadcasting channels, which will begin the real usage of wireless connections inside the mobiles and enable advertising models based around users pulling information from the info. Latest wireless connection made it possible for devices to let users watch images on screen. This method is usable by applying laptop, phone, and tablets using the wireless connection to the media viewer that the user intended to choose. Bluetooth is an incredible development in technology that is continuously producing tasks easier and more accessible in quickest time for its users. The supply of electronic devices that has Bluetooth technology is increasing and are surrounding our environment which proves how it is essential to people in 21st century. With progress in the technology made daily, it is hard to imagine to think of all the circumstances and situations that are to come in future.

 One of the biggest advantages of using the Bluetooth technology is the communication in wireless. It costs little power to generate, and can be applied to a variety of devices. Nevertheless, Bluetooth technology has advantages that has led to general public, including any publicly open specification that is also free, allows devices to interact over a cable-free, ability to support voice and data, and its ability to use an unregulated frequency band that is available anywhere in the world. The signals are delivered with low radio waves. Multiple devices can be connected. The weak power and frequency defines that devices have the availability to approach to the other device within ten meters, but this is a positive result, since it won’t cause any other collision or crash with other device’s usage.

Widely used, Bluetooth is now popular and gaining more popularity as time passes by. It is now widely used globally. Bluetooth feature, users can face a lot of advantages simultaneously. Users will be noticing technology will be wireless due to Bluetooth since companies are collecting benefit by their new and future products to make life much easier for everyone.  Users can use Bluetooth on laptops, cell phones, music players, headsets, printers and a lot more other products. Moreover, the technology is free to use and requires no charges to be paid to any service provider (Harte) Users does not require knowledge in order to use Bluetooth. Anyone that doesn’t have no knowledge about the new technology can still be able to use the Bluetooth feature due to its simplicity and the ease of use.  It is simple and well described for ordinary consumers to apply to their lives and use them fluently. Payments wouldn’t be required for the users. It’s not a cell phone or cable bill that users have to add to their budget. There haven’t been any companies charging a monthly fee or any fee for people to use the Bluetooth feature till this point. It enables to use without a cable and the difficulty that the for the user to find the correct place to connect that long cable. This technology limits to have no cables and wires is something that has made it so popular. With so many devices surrounding today, the need for Bluetooth technology is becoming more influential. The maximum range is 100 meters, but this range is not the same for all connections that user will be using. The processing and battery power that it requires in order to operate is very low. The nature of the device and the version are the key points that it can operated upon. These information creates the idea of an idyllic tool for so many electronic devices, as daily environment is associated and implemented with the technology.

It’s wireless, inexpensive, automatic, low interference, low energy, share of voice and data, creation of a personal area network, upgradeable, universal wireless standard. There aren’t any specific age groups that is considered to be a target market in this technology industry. It is a friendly system that provides users with more flexible ways to adapt to new technological changes happening in a drastically innovative movement. Our current society is experiencing huge movements of developing the new ideas and technology. It is necessary for the changes occurring around the world in order to establish and finalize the task that the user needs to complete.  These specification demonstrates how the Bluetooth is influencing a big role in the modern day society. Electronic industries are producing more and more devices with the Bluetooth capability. It helps the users work process to be shorten and easily approach the result they want in shorter amount of time. Modern day society moves quickly and the users need to approach the same pace. More users will find the needs of this technology as more devices are supplied with Bluetooth compatibility. It will be a major impact on how the society will use this system for their convenience so the users should recognize this movement. The development of this technology will continue to build to become a larger usage in further future. It will leave more questions and better solutions cover the problem the users are currently facing. The Bluetooth is currently one of the most influencing technology that can be found in the market in public.
