Hybrid/Willow

The most epic love story that was ever told was the story of Alexis parents. The home every child wished, two loving parents, whose love only got bigger as each day passed. The only downside was it was never meant to be. By this, I mean this story was never told, was never lived out, never got its chance to happen. All because of laws set in place out of fear of segregation, fear of change and what would come after it. Their unwillingness to even acknowledge the idea of change caused an infant less than a year old to be sent to another world because of the blood that ran through her veins.

******************

Father: We don't have a choice. You and both knew it would come to this. We couldn't have kept her any longer and as much as it pains me to say this we couldn't have given her the life we wanted.

Mother: But were her parents we cannot abandon her even if we couldn't give her the life we wanted. We would still be together, that's all should matter.

Father: It is all that matters. You know I never wanted to be this way, I hate that we can't be together but I don't want her to know and love us, only for us to be ripped away from us.

Mother: I… I can't leave her. I don't care what they say I want to be with my daughter. No one is going to take her away from me.

Father: She wouldn't be safe. We would spend our lives in fear always looking over our shoulders. Is that what you want for her.. your own daughter.

Mother: No. I just…. I don't want to lose her.

Father: Neither do I but its in her best interest that we do this. Are you ready?

Mother: ^^^she nods^^^

Father: You will always be in our hearts. You are never alone. I love you.

Mother: You were my little bundle of joy when you were born that brought nothing but happiness into my life. I will never stop fighting for you and one day we will be together again. I love you Alexis.

(Place her in the willow tree)

On Earth……

April: Charles, dinners almost ready, can you call the kids down to help set the table.

Charles: Sure Honey, I almost forgot the Drakes are coming over for dinner on Friday. Kids, dinners nearly ready, time to set the table.

April: Charles, I told you to cancel that. You know how much Jessica gets under my skin.

Charles: And you know how pushy they can be. You think after cancelling twice they'd get the message.

(A baby appears on the table)

Harry: Mom, mom.

Charles: Harry, what is it. Why are shouting. April, you have to come in here.

April: Charles, this better be quick unless the…

Sasha, can you please take your brother and sisters to the living room… and don't come out until we tell you.

(Kids protesting)

Charles: I thought you said all the portals had been closed.

April: That's what I was told. Which means that they don't know she's here?

Charles: Then what are we supposed to do. We can't give her away… the program has been shut down for.. for years.

April: Does she have anything with her, anything to indicate where she's from.

Charles: No, only this bracelet… but the charm I feel like I've seen it somewhere. We have to report this.

April: Report to whom.. You know we can't do that.

Charles: Even leaving her at hospital seems reasonable.

April: A hospital? Imagine what would happen when the parents that she gets find out they have a supernatural baby. You know what would happen to her.

Charles: Then what can we do. Keep her? You know that's not even an option right now.

April: It's our only option. You know how they would react if they found out about her.

It's not like we can't handle one more kid, right?

Charles: You know I trust your decisions but I really think we should wait until we have all the facts.

April: I agree but I think it's best if she stayed with us while we are figuring this all out. It would be too risky to place in the hands of another family.

Charles: You're right. Right now, we just have to pretend like everything is normal. For the kids.

April: That reminds me, how are we going to explain to the kids, why a baby just happened to appear on the table before dinner.

Charles: Let's just get through dinner first, then we'll worry bout the details later, okay.

********************

15 years later…..

Charles: Kids, dinners ready. Come and help to set up the table. We've got a special announcement to make.

Donatello: Dad, Are you still helping me practice for football tomorrow.

Charles: Of course. Gotta get you ready for that scout coming to see you next week. Donny, have you seen your sisters?

Donatello: Yeah, they're upstairs. They're planning for Alexis' birthday.

Charles: Alexis, Layla, dinners ready.

Layla: What are we having, cause I'm thinking of going vegetarian. Animals have feelings too, they shouldn't be killed just so we can eat them.

Charles: Okay, your mom is in the kitchen so you can go and see for yourself and I'm sure she'd like some help. Before you go could you please go to Sasha's room and ask her if she's coming down for dinner.

Layla: Sure. Save me a seat beside you. (Says to Alexis)

Charles: Alexis, so how's the party planning coming along.

Alexis: Pretty good actually, I think we're nearly done.

Charles: Great.

(Alexis goes to the kitchen)

April: Alexis, can you help me bring the lasagna to the table.

Layla: Mom, Sasha's still studying, so she said you should leave her a plate of food for her dinner.

April: Okay, then can you tell the boys not to leave her a plate at the table and bring this out with you.

Layla: Sure.

Don't leave a plate out for Sasha, she's not having dinner right now.

Jordan: So, Sasha still studying?

Layla: Yeah, she's has this big test coming up.

Harry: I swear she hasn't left that room since we came home.

Donatello: Honestly, if that's what college will end up doing to me, I might start rethinking my options.

Jordan: At least you're getting out of high school, we still have 2 more years. The difference between us is that I'm actually looking forward to going to college.

Alexis: Layla? Mom? Dad? Can anyone hear me? Hello, who's there? I'm not afraid of you, whatever you are come out and face me.

Layla: Alexis, Alexis

Alexis: Sorry, what happened?

Jordan: Layla was asking you a quest about the party but you completely spaced out?

Harry: Are you okay? You look a little …..

Alexis: I'm fine. Now, what was that question?

Layla: As I was saying, you only turn sixteen once, so I was thinking maybe you would think about renting a party bus.

Alexis: Are you serious? Like the one with the poles. You must be crazy if you'd think I would want one of those.

Layla: Why not, it could be fun, and you could show everyone your sick dance moves. Mom, help me out here.

April: Alexis, honey, your sister does have a point it could be fun, but it's your birthday so whatever you chose is fun.

Charles: Well, I agree with Alexis it really is a crazy idea.

Layla: Well at least think about it, please.

Alexis: Okay, but I'm not making any promises. I still don't like the idea of it but I'll think about it.
