Lack of practice of Malaysian values and the spirit of being a good Malaysian especially amongst the younger generation have become recent issues and the challenges how to implement the values among Malaysian.

Malaysia is a parliamentary democracy that has a diversity of races, ethnicities and religions. As a citizen of malaysia shall have a big role to maintain harmony has been achieved this. The younger generation needs to instil Malaysian moral values and patriotic in respectively to be a Good Malaysian people. Lack of moral values in the younger generation can lead to some issues such as vandalism on public property, throw rubbish everywhere place and high crime rates increase. To build a success we will have some challenges as well as instil moral values among the younger generation also there are several challenges to instil moral values among the younger generation. We are responsible to prevent this problem from happening and begin to instil moral values and the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation.

CHALLENGES

There are a few challenges that prevent to instill and nourish the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation especially when Malaysians have of various races or a plural society. First challenges is the attitude individualism . This refers to the attitude of selfishness regardless of nation and society. Those who adopt this attitude will do for themselves advanced from the interests to help others citizen and for the nation. The system of rule and administration in Malaysia on the basis of democracy, namely, the election of representatives by the people through elections. Democracy is very useful in setting up the unity of the people and ensure peace in the country. However, some communities cannot accept a leader not chosen by them. Most of them act in accordance with feelings and emotions to express their feelings and grievances to the Government. This behavior can lead to fights or upheavals people and indirectly, affected peace and national unity, saying proverbs Albert Einstine, "build a good reputation takes 10 years but to pollute them take five minutes only ". Proverbs shows the efforts of the Government over the years such as counting the hairs in sheep body only because everything wasted good health as a result of a society that is not semuafakat. We did talk of unity, unity of the people of this country is a result of consolidation and understanding people, comprising various layers of plural society such as Malay, Chinese and Indian. People of this country live United and mutual compromise with each other. For example, while in the LRT, selfish attitudes that do not see people around them and did not give chance to sit for maternity and old people. In addition if there is something happen in our country such as war, he will the first people to fled to other countries. This attitude is increasingly spreading in society and give bad example to the younger generation.

Second, era of globalization, social liberalism and technology. Era globalization, social liberalism and technology refers to a country without borders, free trade, the influx of foreign culture easily and so on. Nowadays globalization via the internet, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and so on very easily diffuse in culture and the soul children and teenagers aged 12 to 17 years. They should get guidance from parents and teachers about the dangers and globalization nowadays. Studies show this group is the largest use of the internet. As many as 90 percent of them use the internet at school, at home and in their daily lives. They are also mostly still don't understand the pros and cons of the internet brought about by globalization. This situation will produce a society that freedom from anything, easily influenced by negative foreign culture, the economy dominated by multinational corporations and investment sector monopolised by developed countries. The influence of Western culture which is defined as westernisation movement and invasion of mind which was released to a country that has a particular purpose. For example free sex, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT), black metal, punk, hedonism, skin head, and so on. This negative culture will be the trend for the young generation. As a result, the nation's sovereignty would be threatened and the community will have with a foreign culture and hence, the spirit of love for the country will be buried. Prime Minister also concern about this problem, namely globalization resulted in the country being only a district world, and at that time difficult to nurture the spirit of patriotism in a country that no longer exists.

The next challenge is the attitudes of prejudice, Stereotypes. Prejudice means an attitude or a negative impression of a generally against a group of humans or a different race or attitudes are formed based on the generalization that irrational as the Group has such qualities. Stereotypes mean General statements about an ethnic group. The apparent excess of something good and bad behaviour is directed to an ethnic group and  under estimate based interaction and spirit of racism. If this has been Stereotypes, it will hardly to be changed although there was evidence to deny this fact. In Malaysia, the issue of prejudice and sterotaip of race is often considered sensitive issue not only on the public stage, but also among the academicians. Therefore, there are not many scientific studies conducted to review the extent to which community the various races in Malaysia put properties perjudis against each other. But clearly, if the review of the conduct and daily conversation, this problem should not be taken lightly. Among the friends and relatives of mine who are Malay, often heard a moan whenever there are goods purchased are considered expensive, Chinese traders quickly blamed. Among the Chinese people, there is also prejudisnya. A local university graduates are Malays ever tells his experience attending the interview in a private company. All interviewer present are Chinese. During the interview session is running, they often whisper between them in Mandarin. That is not noticed them, interview candidates could actually in Mandarin as low in Chinese school-going children. Other than that, As an another example, if the non-Malay community considers Malaysia is homeland for Malay only and non-Malay as immigrants, then it will cause the spirit of patriotism that's difficult to imbued in the non-Malay community. Furthermore, with a multiracial society where the nature of the prejudice between the races still strong by the people so it can be a hard and difficulty to instill and value the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation multiracial society where the nature of the prejudice between the races still strong by the people.

The fourth challenges was racist among Malaysia people, it was a conscious attitude of its own ethnic group. This phenomenon exists because of the aspects of economic, political and social where each ethnic group will insist on its group only. Furthermore, with the separation of physical residence, socio-economic differences among racial and cultural differences in turn highlighted in every life. About residential area, for instance, we can noticed everywhere in the country, the Malays increasingly long gets overlooked in the area, although they are a bit ' privilege ' to facilitate their purchasing needs. That said, we hear there are Malays who eventually sold the House to another person, may be due to not able to pay the price of the House, or may be want to get profit. More significant, if we look at every area of the business or a new city which was opened since independence, the presence of a shop or dealer Malays average no more than 10%. In the area of majority Malays, for instance in the Klang Valley or in the Federal territory, in an area such as Kampung Baru, though most of the Malays people and most of them sell their food stores, selling cakes, nasi lemak, and so on. In the field of business technology products and computers, for example, the presence of Malay seller or dealer is in small amount. So, this situation will lead to fight racial interests from the interests of the country. In a society that is multiracial, religious and descent, the issue of patriotism more challenging because the element of descent and religion can influence a person's soul and his idealism. This is because they will take care of self and group survival without the best interests of the nation and the country. For example, the country was also experiencing bloody incident as a result of racial riots in 13 Mei 1969, our had to be declared State of emergency in nationwide. Ras can also result in conflict separation of certain groups in terms of education, housing and employment. When beliefs and actions so widespread in society, of course it will be able to influence and sometimes determine the political development in a country.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING

As a Malaysians people who held to our country, we need more be smarter thinking to find solutions to instil moral values and the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation. We should not be too expect action from the Government only, but we should also do our role respectively. John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States once said, “Ask not what your country can do for you; but ask what you can do for your country.” He said this in his inaugural speech as the President. This was his way to instil patriotism into his fellow Americans. Oftentimes, we feel that the country owes us a living. Hence, we become very demanding and often frustrated when we don’t get our way. So, We also must be more responsible for our country.

First, we must instil the spirit of patriotism from our family respectively. This is because the family is the most nearest with the kids or the young generation. Malays proverb saying  â€œmelentur buluh biar dari rebung”. Its mean to inculcate moral values and the spirit of patriotism originates from the grassroots. Parents also should be ' role models ' or example to children. Parents need to be aware with their acts, conduct, practice, speech and thought that would be followed by their children. Parents should always show a positive attitude to children. For example, parents can fly the flag at home or do activities that can show support to the country. Therefore, parents should always show the best example to children. Malays Proverb saying “dimana tumpah kuahnya kalau bukan di nasinya”. Parents can bring their children to participate in the program that organizer from our goverment, talks about the history of the country. Parents should do with wholeheartedly so that children who grew up could become national and passionate love are patriotic. The younger generation will follow all what is taught in the family of their own. The spirit of patriotism and love of country is not a thing that can be born himself in each individual. It needs to be nurtured and studded in person since the young, so that their souls blend well with the feelings. This is something very important to the younger generation because they have never experienced misery and must be aware of every success this is not obtained for free but with the sacrifice. Parents need to tell all the historic events of the country regularly. for example, parents need to tell how hard it was for fighters ' independence in the country at that time. In addition, parents need to bring their children to historic sites to experience physically the meaning of patriotism. Indirectly, the spirit of love at country and patriotism shall be instill from their family and adopted in their daily life.

Next, through the education system in the country. Education is ultimate weapon to born a good Malaysian people from the education will represent the personality someone good and a good education can help to open the minded of the younger generation. Education can nurtured the spirit of patriotism through subjects such as history, civics and citizenship of malaysia. Emphasis on the development of the country from the past and contributions from the Patriarchs that liberate homeland from colonial hands. For example, in Sabah ,fighter Mat Salleh, Antanom and other figures such as Tok Janggut, Datuk Maharaja Lela, Dato Sagor, Tengku Menteri (Ngah lbrahim), Long Jaafar, Lieutenant Adnan Saidi, Chief Salleh Selempang Red to produce the spirit patriotism for the younger generation. While the co-curricular activities of the school in INSTITUTIONS of HIGHER LEARNING should also apply elements of patriotism in each programe. Minister of education need to be more sensitive to find specific strategy so that the young generation will receive good education and to produce a generation that will love the country.

Third, through the youth activities in our country. This programs that call for  the  involvement  of  youth  need  to  be empowered, especially the military services.  According to the statistics, to date from over 51,000 members of the armed forces Reserve (volunteer), only 8.8 percent Chinese, 6.6 per cent Indian and 6.6 percent other races. To be a army not only for Malay its our responsible to protect our country. So, non-Malay youth are encouraged to join a team of military and police and other establishments of a patriotic. Other than that activities such as seminars or courses rally patriotic youth, the development process of the country and the like have to be fuelled further programmes organised to be able to penetrate into the heart up to move the soul youth appreciate the spirit of patriotism. The younger generation is also obliged to master the knowledge and get the perfect education which includes mental and spiritual aspects, manners, covering disciplines aqli and naqli.

Forth, strengthen  the  role  of the printed or electronics mass media. Mass media is defined as print and electronic means of communication that transmit information to widespread audiences (Schaefer, 2012). Examples of print mass media included newspapers, magazines, booklets and brochures, house magazines, periodicals or newsletters, direct mailers, handbills or flyers, billboards, press releases, and books. While examples of electronic mass media are television, radio, computers, and smartphones. he media play very significant roles in our society today. The media is all around us. From the shows we  watch   on   television,  the music we  listen   to  on the radio, to  the  books,  magazine,   and   newspapers   we  read  each  day.   Without   the  media,  people  in societies  will be isolated, not only from the rest of the world, but  from governments, law makers, and neighboring towns and cities. The contents of the mass media should  be friendlier  to users as well as publishing program that can generate the spirit of patriotism in a multi-ethnic society like Malaysia. For example, media should not to be  preoccupied with  preparing  the  ceremonial  programmes  only,   they must   fill with their  presentations,   sentiments   that  the   people   can   feel,  supporting and understanding   the  policies and  appreciating   the policies  in   terms of  their real contents.

Conclusion

In conclusion, patriotism is  an important  and valuable element in developing a society which consists  of  various  races  and  ethnicities and also to be a good Malaysians people among young genaration. We need to reignite back patriotic soul actually especially to young generation. With the blessings of independence are set up now, we need to move forward and at the same time eliminate the residue of colonialism which still nested in soul society. Hopefully the country and people of Malaysia will continue to move forward with the true spirit of patriotism. If we not start from now, we will see our country down. However, they many challenges must be  faced to complete this mission, not shortcut fo this issue.  So, we need many efforts from all parties to achieve the goal  to promote the  spirit of patriotism among young genaration for the sake of harmony and progress of the country. Our nation is our responsibility.
