Health, they say, is a precious gift in life that everyone get therefore, health must be preserved and protected at all time.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO),  health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. This among many reasons why there should health promotion interventions to promote health and sustain life.

Health promotion, as defined by Kreuter and Devore (1980) , “ is the process of advocating health in order to enhance the probability that person (individual, family, and community), private (professional and business), and public (federal, state, and local government) support of positive”.

  Health promotion is essential in the effort to decrease the emergent of chronic disease and also to address the major and persistent health disparities around the world. Heath promotion ensures to increase the functional capacity of everyone  and to promote a sense of well-being. It also emboldens societies and its people for healthy living through education and other avenues.

Therefore, there should be community-based public health  promotion interventions.

The  World Health Organization (WHO), also, defines Health promotion as a system that enables people to increase control over their own health ("Health promotion," n.d.). which covers a wide range of social and environmental interventions designed to benefit and protect individual people’s health and quality of life by addressing and preventing the root causes of ill health, not just focusing on treatment and cure. ("What is health promotion?" n.d.)  In essence, health promotion is about  improving health of people.

Inevitably, people fall ill to many diseases and many of these diseases happen as a result of having less knowledge or no knowledge at all on how to avoid or prevent them.

There is this universal reception that health and social comfort and happiness are determined by a number of factors beyond the health system which may include things like socioeconomic factors, environment factors, patterns of consumption in relation to food, communicational factors, demographic patterns, family patterns, the cultural and social fabric of societies.  In situation like these, health issues are properly addressed by implementing a comprehensive approaches by empowering individuals and communities to take action for their own health, grooming or nurturing leadership for public health and ensuring actionable healthy public policies and creating sustainable health systems. When it comes the socioeconomic conditions, it affects the long term health of people.

Over all, good health ensures better quality of life and good health is not determine by single factor but a wide ranges of factors like social, environmental  physical and mental i.

There are several approaches to promote health. These include Healthy population:  This is targeting all life stages and group.  The health need of people varies depending on their stage in life cycle.    

Moreover,  we can promote through healthy lifestyle: this approach focuses on behavior  of individual and how their decisions can lead to healthier outcomes. This approach is done through health education and advocacies programs. For example, no smoking approach, better nutrition approach and exercise approach.

Every important part of public health a essential component of public health program.

Actions area ; buiding healthy policies. Supporting

The promotion can also be a target to reduce childhood obesity. And also there should be a health promotion on mental health.

Every State has unique and peculiar health problems that need particular attention rather than addressing it as a national issue.

There should be intervention on Maternal and neonatal.

The federal government as well as local communities have their role to play to ensure that the environment which is beyond the control of  any individual and groups is conducive to he health.

Health promotion has some basic principles social justice & equity, a stable ecosystem, income, food, Education, Shelter, peace, sustainable resources.

*** the foundation of Health promotions interventions are built on public Policy,; this is when the local and state or federal government policies and laws  support healthy actions for early detection, control, prevent and management of diseases.
