Dean Koontz
My book is based on a true event where a colony, out of nowhere just disappeared like one day they were there, then, the next day there are gone.
The author of my book is name is Dean Koontz and he wrote the book “Phantoms” and he is very popular with books just like Stephen King.

This is what happened in history during Koontz life. Du ring Birth, he was born at the end of World War 2 and it didn’t affect him because he was a baby at the time(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 551). A big Influencer on Dean Koontz is H.P. Lovecraft because during Koontz childhood years and Lovecraft used to write horror stories which made Koontz write horror stories too(D’ammassa N.P.). During the Vietnam war it was the beginning of his career during the Vietnam, he wrote a book name “Chase” when a Vietnam veteran returned back home(Kotker 7). Dean Koontz wrote some popular true events stories and one of them is “Phantoms” based on a true event on Roanoke Island, North Carolina where the people suddenly

disappeared out of nowhere. So during history of Dean Koontz life a lot things happened that were pretty interesting.
This is Dean Koontz life from 1945 and so on. Dean Koontz was on born in July 9, 1945 in Everett, Pennsylvania(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 551). Dean Koontz family was very poor and it was because of Koontz father.(Kotker 1). During his childhood times Koontz father(Ray) was an abusive alcoholic and would abuse Koontz and his mother(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 551). Koontz hobbies were that he would read books as a refuge from his father and read books for fun(Kotker 4). Koontz father name is Ray Koontz and his mother name is Florence Koontz(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 551). Koontz favorite things to do is watch movies, books and cartoon figures because he used they things to make books in the future(Kotker 3). When Koontz was about 8 years old he wrote books and sold them to his relatives for 5 cents each(Kotker 4). In Koontz adulthood his father tried to murder him twice with a knife (Kotker 2). Koontz graduated at shippensburg state college with a degree in English(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 552). He married to Gerda Ann Cerra on the 16th of October, 1966(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 551). In 1972, Publication of Chase beginning of his career of a serious right(Kotker 10). Koontz would go to his imagination world to get away from his father and during all of those years he thought that it would be fun to write about things that are imagining related stories(Kotker 8).
His mother died in 1969(Kotker 9). His father died in 1990(Kotker 10). Koontz was diagnosed as a board line schizophrenic(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 551). Whenever Koontz feels depressed, he will go to his office and sit with all of the novels publish in each

language(Kotker 9). Reading widely psychology, and philosophy and converted to Catholicism(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 552). He is a republican because he talks bad about liberal(Democratic) in the book called “The Eyes of Darkness”(“Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 552). Dean Koontz had a rough childhood but he turned that childhood into stories that are popular nowadays.
Koontz was a teacher in the beginning and became an author and earned a lot of rewards for the books he made. Koontz taught for a year in the Appalachian poverty program in Saxton, Pennsylvania. Them moved to teach in high school in mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Then he quit his job to write literary books(Dean Koontz,” Supernatural Fiction Writers 552). In 1968, the first book he wrote and published is called “Starquest”(Kotker 1). “His novels, many of which have been bestsellers, are known for tightly constructed plots and rich characters often combining elements of horror, science fiction, suspense, and romance”(“Dean Koontz,” Concise Major 21st Century Writers 2051). Praised for their detailed characters, twisting plots, and fast pace(Hamilton N.P.). Koontz has published more than 80 novels and said that more than 200 million copies of his books. He is one versatile writer of our time and he has written almost every genre written out there(“Dean Koontz,” Cyclopedia of Young Adults 382). In terms of Women protagonist they show a good image and projection to others just like Koontz mom protected him from his father(Kotker 3). Dean wrote a character Bruno Frye who is just like Ray Koontz(Kotker 2). Creative writing Award for “Kittens” in 1966. Hugo award for “Beastchild” in 1971. Daedalus Award for “Twilight Eyes” in 1988(“Dean Koontz,” Cyclopedia of Young Adults Authors 383). He is a member of the Mystery Writers of America and Horror Writers of America(Kotker 1). His Wife was the only Source of income for the family for the first five years of his writing career(Hamilton N.P.). Dean use various Pseudonym for genres like gothic romance and genres to not damage his marketability(Hamilton N.P.). In 1986, Koontz stopped using Pseudonyms, he wants to show what kind of author he is(Kotker 10). Dean Koontz became a popular ghost author for the books he wrote.
This paragraph is talking about the characters. Jennifer purpose is trying to find out what happened to the people because they all disappeared out of nowhere(Kotker 23). “She left the sentence unfinished as she realize that the town was not merely quiet. It looked dead”(Koontz 81). Bryce wants to put Kale in jail for murdering his own wife and son(Kotker 23). “Where sheriff Bryce Hammond is questioning Fletcher Kale, who is suspected of killing his own wife and son”(Koontz 23). Jennifer Paige is years old and works in Snowfield, California as a doctor. She is obviously intelligent, knowledgeable about many things plus she is very brave.(Kotker 22).
