How would the perspective of society have an impact as technology improves?
As days go on, technology only seems to get better. Many things are changing good and bad! Technology is the way of scientific knowledge for practical reasons, most likely in industry. It is the "advances in computer technology", machinery, and equipment designed from the application of scientific knowledge. And it is also the branch of knowledge dealing with engineering or applied sciences. Looking at this through a economic lense.
Technology has many downsides in today's’ society, although it has plenty of advantages in the improvement. Technology is found everywhere nowadays; classrooms, hospitals, streets, homes,etc., basically in the everyday life. Technology gives the use to experience and connect with new cultures all over the world. It gives us the benefit to explore outside of your living area and learn new things with knowledge. That is where perspective takes side. Technology is viewed as what’s killing the youth. With all the new phones and social media coming out, many teenagers start losing interest in what’s really important like school, nature, history of the world and more relevant topics. But, not only in teenagers is it affecting the society it is also having a negative impact on younger children and adults believe it or not.
The modern time is covered with network-connected electronic sensors, but majority of the data they manufacture are invisible to us, “siloed” (another word for isolated) for the use of specific applications. If silos were eliminated and were to enable sensor data to be used by any network-connected device, the period of present computing will eventually arrive. Even though it is nearly impossible to know exactly how present computing will have an impact on our life, a likely possibility is that electronic sensors firmly and deeply in the environment will work as extensions of the human nervous system. Computing devices that are known as wearable could become, in effect, sensory prosthetics.
Technology has impacted mostly every feature of life today, and current education is no exception. In a few ways, education seems to be much the similar as it has been for plenty years. To start, technology has very much expanded the access to education. In medieval times, books were uncommon and only a select few had a way to educational opportunities. A few people had to travel to learning centers to get an education. Today, large amounts of information (as in books, audio, images, videos) are available through the Internet, and chances for arranged learning are available online in majority part of the world through the Khan Academy, MOOCs, podcasts, traditional online degree programs, and more. Access to learning opportunities in modern time is unknown in scope thanks to technology. Technology has expanded opportunities for communication and collaboration. Traditionally, classrooms have been relatively solitary, and collaboration has been limited to other students in the same classroom or building. Today, technology enables forms of communication and collaboration undreamt of in the past. Students in a classroom in the rural U.S., for example, can learn about the Arctic by following the expedition of a team of scientists in the region, read scientists’ blog posting, view photos, e-mail questions to the scientists, and even talk live with the scientists via a videoconference. Students can share what they are learning with students in other classrooms in other states who are tracking the same expedition. Students can collaborate on group projects using technology-based tools such as wikis and Google docs. The walls of the classrooms are no longer a barrier as technology enables new ways of learning, communicating, and working collaboratively.
Our society is greatly suffering from the increasing dependency on technology. We are losing vital social and living skills because we are so quick to ask Siri than figure the problem out ourselves. Although some companies have put in effort in raising awareness to this problem, such as the “No texting while driving commercials," it is not enough. During social gatherings, everyone resorts to staring at their phone. Social engagement and talking to one another is minimal compared to how often people check Instagram and Snapchat on their phones. People are glued to their phones and can’t leave the house without it. Leaving their phone at home even causes anxiety for some. Texting while driving… enough said. Sleep patterns are disrupted by constant exposure to the bright screens on IPhones, laptops, TVs, and tablets. Navigation is becoming impossible to do without the use of technology. Using a map sounds barbaric. Information is at our fingertips, giving kids in school easy access to cheating. Physical books are becoming outdated and left in the dust by e-books and audio books. Bookstores such as Borders are going out of business. Cyber bullying and sexual predator activity is reaching new lengths. As technology grows, so does the means by which predators and bullies can target their victim. People’s jobs are being replaced by high tech computers. People’s attitudes, in general, are becoming more impatient and entitled. If it isn’t here right now, then it’s inconvenient. Although the advancements in technology have been some of the greatest achievements to date, it has also had some major setbacks. Technology is stunting many of our social skills, making it incredibly hard for people to socialize without their phones or the presence of some type of technology. When TV was first invented, it helped bring people together. Now, TVs and different technological gadgets are bringing people together and pulling them apart, simultaneously. People during this day in age need to relearn how to socialize with one another and live without the constant influence of phones, TV, and technology. How sad is it to see a group of friends together, sitting around the couch, yet no one is talking to one another. Put down the phone and talk to one another. Memories can’t be made on an app, but they can be made in person.
Technology is an essential part of our lives today and few can imagine living without. We achieved a lot with the help of technology, for example we have the possibility to travel, keep in touch with friends on the other side of the earth and cure many illnesses. It means more freedom and choices for people but at the same time we have to consider the social imbalance, weapons of mass destruction and natural resource depletion. Jane Godall asks for a reason: “We are the most intelligent species walking on earth, how it comes we destroy on what we depend?” What has achieved so far is irrevocable, but we can still determine where it goes in the future.

Advancements in the modes of communication have promoted faster decision-making, and led to the development and progress of the world. Most businesses depend on technology for communication. For example, video-conferencing has made it possible to give the best education to students via expert faculty on the web.
The current generation lacks essential interpersonal skills (the ability to express the ideas and thoughts to others, face-to-face). A major reason for this is the increased frequency of communication through texting and chatting on websites. This has an effect on nonverbal communication as well. Technological means have also affected nonverbal communication. Lack of face-to-face interaction has reduced the nonverbal grasping power of individuals. Many teenagers are always hooked to the social networking sites. They are closer to online friends, but the gap between parents and kids has increased considerably. Communication is lacking, as parents are not techno-savvy to the communication styles of the kids, increasing the generation gap. Consider socializing among people. Life has changed a lot; very few social meetings and get-togethers are held these days. People are more bothered about their online life, than their real social life. Modern communication technology has led to many problems. People have become addicted to the Internet and cell phones, and this has led to many anxiety disorders. People addicted to the Internet feel lonely and isolated. Many people abuse social networking sites and communicate with unsuspecting victims pretending to be someone else. This tendency has done more harm than good.
