The role of social media influencers

Social media now is one of the most important parts in the community fabric, and because of the fact that almost 40% of the society has at least one or two chamber to the social media world social influencers started to appear as a result of people's eager to relate to each other's interest.

Social media influencers are often speaking their own mind about certain topic that they like or about their opinion of community, either way their posts effects their followers in positive or negative way & its important for everyone to know the line between keeping another opinion in mind & deleting their own personality just to go with the flow.

Since it's a huge world hiding behind the screen , social networks are filled with different types of influencers who speaks their mind about different fields in life , whether its fashion , food , life styles .. etc . & their opinion may help their followers  or effect them & change the way they look to that topic.

Sawsan S. age of 27 , Said that she followers many makeup influencers  " Asma sherif mounir or Huda beauty ( who became a major trend ) their tips helped me to chance my makeup routine which increased my self confidence . Hadia Ghaleb i love her for the way she introduce different countries in an amazing way that makes me want to go there & enjoy the places she talks about , also she review some  facial products – but i guess she only speaks to A+ class  –  . “

Tuqa M. age of 21 also said that she follows few makeup & fashion designers & how they changed her perspective in the world of fashion and colors “ These designers affects the way i think  – Specially the designer called Ghada Othman-, they changed my mind about different clothing materials that i never thought of trying , also the color mixing i take a lot of ideas from their posts , of course not every thing they say is right & i don’t really love every idea they present but they present different ideas to their followers which could help every taste . i also follow an artist called Majd Kurdryah whose followed by people all around the world who loves his drawings and try to imitate them. “

Not only in fashion and makeup or simple life needs but influencers also talks about their own amazing life changing experiences , like iskra whom Esraa N. age 21 said about her " she is amazing ! she was bulled for being fat when she was young but she is a great model now ! she is teaching every one not to feel bad about how they look , not only that she shared her life story with her followers but she also shares her healthy diet & trainings . "

But unfortunately influencing is being misunderstood and misused by the social media users . some youtubers make videos only to gain money & they have no idea about the impact they leave in their followers . for example Shady Sror who's an Egyptian youtuber which Sawsan S. called him " the icon of ridicule " , he gained his followers by making incredibly silly videos which is supposed to be funny & beg for subscribes which by the time changed him from just a normal guy to a rich guy in a couple of years ! & now many of his under aged followers thinks of him as a role model & make a total fools of themselves to try to get the same results which made him somehow a very awful influencer.

Looking Deeply in the influencing field it's not just a group of people trying to be famous, it’s a money making job ! a top influencers can gain $300,000 per YouTube video , even a beginner ( micro-influencer ) can make a good amount of money by sponsoring a certain content in their posts & videos . For example, An Instagram user with 100,000 followers can command $5,000 for a post made in partnership with a company or brand.

So What Are Influencers in Social Media?

They are people who are known for their knowledge and expertise on a particular topic.

The majority of influencers fit into the following categories, with the last category rapidly becoming the most important:

• Celebrities

• Industry experts and thought leaders

• Bloggers and content creators

• Micro Influencers

Celebrities :

Most companies throughout the years have found that their sales usually gets higher when a celebrity promotes the product or review it. Until this moment still many companies especially the high-end brands uses the celebrities as influencers to promote their products.

But the problem from most of the brands is the decrease in the number of celebrities willing to take place in such influencing campaign, & their wages isn’t that cheap either. Only in the case that the company is already producing a product that a celebrity loves & already wants to use it , in this situation the celebrity might be welling to review the product & use his/her influence to say how much le likes the product & how good he believes it could be . for example, many musical instrument producers find it very helpful that musicians are playing their products by their own choice.

The main problem with using the celebrities as influencers is their lack of credibility with some product's targeted audience , for example a teenage celebrity can be highly recommended for influencing an acne cream , but they can never influence buying a house in a retirement village.

Industry Experts and Thought Leaders

Industry & thought leaders gets the respect the have because of their position , qualifications, or the experience the have about their field of expertise. mostly , they gain this respect because if their reputation in their place of work . An example for this , a reporter of a journalist in a highly known newspaper might not be an expert in the topics he writes about , but his opinion is respected for being qualified enough to work in such a famous publication .

These experts include:

• Journalists

• Academics

• Industry experts

• Professional advisors

If the company found a journalist who likes their company enough to write a report about it , it would be like using a great influencer almost as good as a blogger or a social media influencer with the benefit of having this publicity for free .

Bloggers and content creators usually work with the industry & thought leaders , that’s why its not uncommon to see the bloggers quote from them and use them in their social media campaigns.

Bloggers and Content Creators

Blogging has been connected to influencer promoting for a few time currently. There are several extremely important blogs on the net. If a preferred blogger completely mentions your product in an exceedingly post, it will result in the blogger’s supporters needing to try your product.

Many bloggers have engineered up sizeable followings in specific sectors. as an example, there are extremely important blogs concerning personal development, finance, health, childrearing, music, and lots of alternative topics, together with blogging itself. The key issue triple-crown blogs have in common is that the respect of their readers.

A variation on having a blogger write one thing that recommends your product is to participate in guest posting. If you'll be able to grab a guest posting spot on an outsized web log, you'll be able to management the content, and you'll ordinarily be allowed to position a link to your own web site in your author bio.

If a web log is massive and important enough, you'll be able to get a sponsored post on their web site. this enables you to either write a post yourself or heavily influence the blogger to jot down a post on your behalf. not like an informal mention in an exceedingly blogger’s post or a guest post you've got written, you'll have to be compelled to pay money for a sponsored post (and it's possible to be labelled as such). However, this hasn’t injured the results for several corporations World Health Organization have sponsored posts on blogs. Generation Z, above all, appears to be proof against the Sponsored Post tag, and as long because the product aligns with the blog’s core audience, there shouldn’t be a haul.

Of course, a web log isn't the sole variety of common content on the net. Another common variety of content is video. during this case, instead of every video maker having their own web site, most produce a channel on YouTube. Brands typically align with common YouTube content creators.

Of course, bloggers and YouTubers seldom swear alone on their existing audiences to simply present itself to their web site hoping there's new material. they typically promote new posts or videos heavily on social media – that makes most of those bloggers and content creators small influencers additionally.

Micro Influencers

Micro influencers are traditional everyday those who became best-known for his or her information regarding some specialist niche. As such, they need sometimes gained a sizeable social media following amongst devotees of that niche. Of course, it's not simply the quantity of followers that indicates grade of influence, it's the connection and interaction that a small influencer has together with his followers.

It is potential that a small influencer isn't awake to the existence a corporation before that company tries to achieve bent on them. If that's the case, the corporate can have 1st to convert the influencer of its price. small influencers have engineered up specialist followings, and that they won't need to damage their relationship with their fans if they're seen to market a lemon.

This demand that any relationship between small influencers and types having to align with target audiences will mean that influencers ar typically fastidious regarding UN agency they work with. Some small influencers ar happy to market a whole for free of charge. Others can expect some style of payment. no matter the worth, Associate in Nursing influencer is unlikely to require to be attached Associate in Nursing “inappropriate” whole for his or her audience.

The nature of influence is ever-changing. small influencers have become a lot of common, and a lot of celebrated. Some have up from virtual obscurity to being nearly moreover called ancient celebrities. this can be significantly the case for Generation Z UN agency pay longer on the net than look tv or getting to sports or movies.

In all reality, small influencers ar the influencers of the longer term. the net has light-emitting diode to the fragmentation to the media into several little niche topics. even though you're into one thing comparatively obscure, you're probably to seek out a Facebook cluster or Pinterest board dedicated to it. And it's in these niche teams and boards that small influencers establish themselves as real influencers.

My Own Personal Opinion

influencing has a great side when its about being positive & learning how to start a new healthy system in your life whether its a new way of putting makeup or fashion or its a new path for the follower to start going through . which could be a really life changing step for the followers & a very great way for the influencer to look at him/herself as someone who changed peoples lives in the possible way that he could 9 if that’s the reason he got into that field for ) . But the problem with the field of influence is that the influencer does not usually put in mind the fact that thousands of people are following them & a big amount of the followers take their opinion in a too literally which could affect them badly . Not only because of living in different places with different needs but also because of  the wrong impact  it leaves on the followers who thinks that its an easy way of making money without building a safety net – day job or finishing their studies – .

followers never know the behind the scenes part where those people are either working another job ( have their own plan b ) or are just getting lucky by chance !
