 Jacques Webster, also known as Travis Scott, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. In 2012, Scott signed with Epic Records making this his first major-label deal, later in November of the same year, Scott also signed a deal with Kanye West's GOOD Music. When he signed to be a part of this production wing Very GOOD Beats he appeared on the label's 2012 compilation album Cruel Summer.

In April 2013, Scott signed a record deal with T.I. This lead to Scott's first full-length project, a mixtape titled Owl Pharaoh, released in May 2013. This was followed with a second mixtape, titled Days Before Rodeo, in August 2014.

Scott's debut studio album Rodeo, was released in September 2015 and grabbing a lot of attention with the hit single "Antidote", which reached the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

His second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, was released in September 2016, receiving positive reviews. Scott later collaborates with Quavo the migos artist, this project was released on December 21, 2017 titled Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho making their first project of this kind.

 In his early life Webster was born in Houston, Texas.  He grew up in Missouri City, in a middle-class community-bordering southwest Houston. Webster also lived with his grandmother, but he later moved to the suburbs, where his father ran his own business.

While living in the suburbs he attended a private elementary school and middle school though graduated from Elkins High School, a public high school at the age of seventeen.

He then attended the University of Texas at San Antonio until he later dropped out to fully concentrate in music when he was a sophomore. After dropping out he immediately moved to New York City attempting to start his music career.

His parents, frustrated with are decision chose to cut him off financially.

At the age of 16, embarking on his musical career as a record producer focusing  on hip hop production. He successively recorded his first trust with his longtime friend Chris Holloway, forming the duo The Graduates.

In 2008, the duo released the first EP on social networking website, Myspace.

The next year, Webster and OG Chess, one of Travis's schoolmates, made the group The Classmates. The Classmates created two projects, with Buddy Rich in 2009 and Cruis'n USA in 2010.

They worked together for two year until personal conflicts and financial disputes led to the disbandment of the group.

After deciding to move from Houston, Texas, to New York, Webster started working with friend Mike Waxx, who held the music website Illroots.

While moving to New York, Travis Scott usually slept on the floor at a friend's house and spending most of his time at Just Blaze's studio. He grew frustrated in New York because of the lack of progression, he moves again but to Los Angeles, California after only four months in the state.

In Los Angeles, expecting to stay with friends he was abandoned with no one, they even promised to help him by providing housing. His parents who cut him off financially lead him to relocating back to Houston, where his parents kicked him out of their home.

When Webster had enough to move back to Los Angeles once again, he stayed on the couch of a friends who studied at University of Southern California. His luck later changed after the Atlanta-based rapper and owner of Grand Hustle Records, T.I. would later hear one of Travis Scotts productions, titled "Lights ". T.I.'s representative contacted Webster, asking him to attend a studio for a meeting.

Throughout the meeting, T.I. freestyled over  the track "Animal", one of Travis Scotts earlier productions.

This lead to Webster's first solo full-length project is a mixtape titled Owl Pharaoh, which that was set to be released in 2012. But  the project was delayed, and was announced to be slated for a later release.

 The project was later re-created by Kanye West and Mike Dean, but delayed again because of  sample clearance issues. When everything was set and done Webster would release the track, "Blocka La Flame", a remix of fellow GOOD Music label-mate Pusha T's single "Blocka" .  Webster himself produced the song, alongside Mike Dean.

In March of 2013, Webster released the music video for a song titled "Quintana", set to appear on Owl Pharaoh a hit single grabbing a lot of attention.

On March 27, XXL revealed that Travis Scott was a member of their Freshman Class of 2013. He was later interviewed with British, DJ Semtex. He premiered a part  of his commercial debut single, titled "Upper Echelon", featuring 2 Chainz and T.I.

On March 13, 2014, Webster performed a new song, tentativs, and would be included on his second mixtape, titled Days Before Rodeo. He later took to his Twitter announcing Rodeo as the title of his major-label debut studio album. On May 5, 2014, Don’t Play was released the full version of the song features a sample of the song "M.O.N.E.Y" by the English rock band the 1975.

"Don't Play" was officially released as the lead single from Days Before Rodeo,.

Resulting his success of Days Before Rodeo, he took to concerts to headline a tour, called The Rodeo Tour, with Rich Gang's rapper Young Thug and producer Metro Boomin. The tour started on March 1, 2015, in Santa Ana, California, and ended on April 1, 2015, in Portland, Oregon.

The tour went throughout major cities like Denver, Colorado, Houston, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, Detroit, Michigan, New York City, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington. Second shows were added to some cities such as Los Angeles and New York City.

Even others like Kanye West, Chris Brown, Wale and Birdman made special guest appearances in certain cities.

Webster's Rodeo Tour has been celebrated to be one of today's wildest rap  tours.

In 2015 and 2016 he creates two projects with Grand Hustle and Epic Records releasing Rodeo and Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight  Rodeo on September 4, 2015.

The album featured guest appearances from Quavo, Juicy J, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Swae Lee, Chief Keef, Justin Bieber, Young Thug and Toro y Moi, Big Buck including production from Mike Dean, Kanye West, WondaGurl, Suber, DJ Dahi, Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital, Southside, Terrace Martin, Zaytoven, Pharrell Williams and Webster himself. The album was most recognized for its two singles: "3500" featuring Future and 2 Chainz, and "Antidote".

Travis broke the record for having his highest-charting single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 16.

Rodeo was given positive reviews from critics and debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart.

It also debuted at number one on the Billboard Rap Albums chart.

In April of 2016 Webster declared that the title of his second album would be Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, also calling the title for his third album to be AstroWorld, for his love of the Houston known amusement park that was later closed down.

 A couple of months after in June Webster collaborative a single between with Thug, titled "Pick Up the Phone" which my favorite.

 The single, also had featured Quavo of Atlanta-based rap trio Migos, the song number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

In August, he announced that Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight was finally finished in a post on Instagram. He premiered the album on his third episode of .wav radio on September 2, 2016, and later officially released on iTunes and Apple Music. On September 11, 2016, the album became Webster's first number one album on the US Billboard 200.

 A couple of weeks later the Universal Music Publishing Group's CEO, Jody Gerson reaches out for a  label signed worldwide deal with Webster. Leading to the events he also announced that he would be executive producing on Kanye West's Cruel Winter, a follow up to his G.O.O.D. Music label's debut collecting Cruel Summer.

He labeled the upcoming album as, "very youthful, straight to the point, like the illest ever, man, like the illest album."

Entering 2017 AstroWorld and Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho  were the highlights of his year, he also was invited to performed at All-Star Weekend on February 16, 2017 in New Orleans at Champion Square.

On March 5, Scott announced a concert tour called "Birds Eye View".

 The next day, the dates and cities for the tour were revealed, beginning with New Orleans in March, and concluding at on June 2, in Eugene, OR.

In March 2017, Webster broadcasted he would be introduction his own imprint, under the name of Cactus Jack Records. While giving an interview to GQ, he confirmed 'The Quavo album is coming soon. I’m dropping new music soon. You know how I do it though. I like surprises.”
