Network Design and Management Trend from 2016 till now

Introduction

The smooth running or operation of network systems demands proper network design and management. Network design and management make use of different methods, and procedures in ensuring a network system is functioning properly. It can be said that the main aim of network design and management is to ensure that exchange of data in a network system is efficient, consistent and reliable. Furthermore, network design and management focus on the overall administration of a network system such as the maintenance, operation and network provision (Huang, 2015).

Over the years, many trends have been seen in network design and management; some of these trends in the past two years such as security, virtualisation, and software defined networking are discussed in this paper.
