We are living in an era that multi-cultural society all over the world give their work together to develop and establish a commercial company. Here we are going to discuss how can we create an environment where all the international coworkers feel free to express their views where some mistakes happen in the company or the workplace. It is really a necessary thing to implement because the company’s fall and rise is on the coworker’s hand. If they are genuine and honest about their work only it can lead to a success of the company.

Nowadays, diversity is typical in most workplaces. With the advancement of technology, it’s not uncommon to deal with clients and customers from all over the world. While this may be the new norm, the possible challenges of diversity cannot be ignored. Language barriers may make it difficult to communicate effectively, or cultural differences may inhibit internal and external customers from being comfortable enough to open up, socialize or bond. These potential issues may hinder relationships in the workplace; therefore, if you plan to do business on a global level, you need to find solutions to break down any barriers.

So, it is time for us to discuss the ways to overcome this issue in work place between co-workers. Learning your coworkers culture is a good way to improve the communication between them and it will lead to a great discussion while they do some mistakes. Taking the time to research or inquire about another’s culture can go a long way to make them feel comfortable. Learn about the things your clients and customers like and value: their food, their customs and protocol, business practices and what they do for fun. Since there is a host of information available online, you can easily discover the basic tenets of their culture. Because of your extra effort, the people with whom you work will feel appreciated and will be more apt to work with you in the future as well.

In addition to that team building is something that make a huge difference in the work place. Some cultures like the United States are individualistic, and people want to go it alone. Other cultures value cooperation within or among other teams. Team-building issues can become more problematic as teams are comprised of people from a mix of these cultural types. Effective cross-cultural team-building is essential to benefiting from the potential advantages of cultural diversity in the workplace.

Another main thing you need to focus on to improve your coworker’s performance is being accommodating. If your employees, clients or co-workers have cultural requirements, like prayer times or religious holidays, accommodate their needs into your work schedule. You would certainly want someone to respect your culture if the tables were turned. Regardless of your business type, keep an open mind. Know that your way is not the only way. You don’t need to change your culture or convince others to change theirs, but rather, find common ground where everyone can understand each other and respect and embrace cultural differences.

Besides, Clear and polite communication reduces the chances of surprises, crises, and confrontation. Both employers and employees should take diversity and cultural difference into account while drafting communication material. This can include using simple words, using visual methods to communicate results and avoiding slang words and phrases and so on.

Learning about different cultures is something very important in work place. As a coworker everyone should know the other coworker’s culture and ethics. It will be help to give a coworker a confident and comfort to work with their other workers and while a mistake occurs it will easy for them to communicate about the issue and sort out the problem in a small amount of time.

Sharing knowledge is also a kind of easy way to overcome this issue. Diversity recruiting’s ability to produce creative outcomes has limits within the ability of a workforce to share cultural knowledge. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic of Harvard Business Review writes, “Studies mapping the social networks of organizations have found higher levels of creativity in groups that are more interconnected, particularly when creative and entrepreneurial individuals are a central node [part] in those networks.”

So all together the main important way make your coworkers to feel comfort to express the truth of the mistake and faults occur while working is diversity training. Diversity training can potentially foster inclusive work culture, encourage teamwork and leadership, create new opportunities, and thereby create a positive work culture. This training will help employees understand and embrace the cultural differences of their coworkers, and coworkers to embrace each other.

If you find out the problem there is, language related, this does not mean you have to take ten-hour lessons a week and learn to speak like a native. However, it always helps to know some basic phrases that you can use with a smile. Even a simple “halo!” can make a whole lot of differences, because others will appreciate your sincerity in being approachable. However, if not using the local language is seriously hindering your ability to work with your colleagues, then it may be worth finding a tutor or language exchange group after work. All ways try to get a perfect communication between your coworker is very essential.
