Despite how accurate facts can be, experts in any discipline can have problems when it comes to agreeing and possessing the same interpretation. Human beings possess the capacity to analyze facts and interpret them the way they believe it is best for further investigation to achieve results they are striving for. Usually facts consist in data that cannot be changed due to the fact that they have been proven; however, these facts usually come from theories that were develop from human interpretation and not well-developed understanding of the unknown. Therefore some conflicts are generated because humans have and will always attempt to manipulate facts in order for them to coincide with their experiments and prove them right. Moreover, how is it possible that disagreements exist among experts from a specific discipline if they posses the accessibility to the same facts? While looking at specific disciplines, such as the natural sciences and history, one can observe that they both possess specific facts; however, experts in both of these disciplines will always argue due to the fact that the same facts could be interpreted differently and experts trust their intuition.

Society is able to observe this in the scientific fields that have to do with the natural sciences. Such disciplines require experimentation; however, in order to develop facts scientists have the necessity to come up with theories, and after these facts are developed people will generate further theories from the facts that will not necessarily be the same depending on the experts that examine them. Several scientists in these fields could follow different methods in order to achieve results that could not follow the traditional methods and this could cause controversies among other scientists because they are not following the facts given to them that have probably existed for several generations in the scientific community. There can also be disagreements when it comes to published scientific journals due to the fact that interpretation plays such a crucial role when it comes to established facts, and scientists could disagree because each individual will have the intuition that they are correct when it comes to the facts. The understanding of natural sciences is based on facts, and these facts were obtained due to human observation and the application of the scientific method. So why is it that even though scientists can be learning from observation, disagreements will always occur? The answer could be in that every human being possesses a different sense of imagination from which every scientist will derive his or her own interpretations that could lead to different results. One example of this could be the application of embryonic stem cell research because it illustrates two sides in the scientific community that want to protect human lives; however, there are several disagreements because one side states that in order to save a human life one will have to sacrifice another one while the other side wants to save one human life without killing the other life even though this rather sounds impossible to achieve. Therefore, if the same information would be handed to experts in the natural science, disagreements will always occur even though these experts might want what they think would be best for humanity.

Several disagreements can be portrayed as well among historians. Humanity is able to observe that in the discipline of history, there will never be a constant opinion among people that show interest in a certain topic. Since history offers human an interaction with past events, these are written down and illustrate what it appears to be the “truth;” however, this definition of truth varies from person to person. History is a subjective matter rather than objective because even though some facts could be presented to people, history is altered in order to bias it toward or against certain groups of people. History changes from country to country, and as from personal experience, one has lived in four different countries, and world history changed in order to illustrate the current country I was in as a better nation than others. While the United States may show mainly negative acts that totalitarians committed throughout their terms as dictators, such as Mussolini in Italy, people in Italy while they posses the same facts students are taught as in a not so negative way due to their sense of patriotism. History is mainly dependent on people’s sense of reason due to the fact that historians from different countries will disagree because their reason tells them that they will be right when it comes to their interpretation of the facts. This can be seen everywhere in history itself as well. When the United States constitution was written, it was left for Thomas Jefferson and James Madison’s own interpretations of it. These differences in the constitution’s interpretation, even though what was written on it were statements that could not be altered, led to a division of opinions within the same country generating different political parties that can still be seen nowadays. Therefore, even when the study of history can appear to be objective, facts are always going to be interpreted in a different way, which will cause historians to have different opinions that can lead to further discussions and disagreements that will cause arguments, so reason will make history subjective to the person studying it.

However, the study of natural sciences and history, even though they can be considered for the most part accurate, they could be demoralized and be considered as subjective. In the study of the natural sciences most scientists are supposed to follow an agenda that possesses given facts, but if someone’s interpretation lead to a different process to achieve the same results, this scientist may cause some controversies and other experts on the same discipline will disagree with that certain scientists only because of his or her new yet odd interpretation. In the study of history facts are given of past events that are important and shaped humanity to the way it is now; however, several countries may choose to hide the facts that make them look in a negative way or simply interpret them in a different way in order to increase their sense of nationalism. Such objective matters can instantly be altered and become subjective because human intuition will always want one to be correct in order to believe other people are wrong, which will always lead to arguments among experts.

The significance of knowing this is that humans will always disagree, and it is not because they are against other people studying the same facts but it is rather because everyone possesses a sense of intuition that will allow him or her to believe the correctness of his or her own statements; moreover, a person will feel more comfortable by appealing to his or her own reasoning of why he is she is correct. Therefore, by looking at natural sciences and history, one can observe that experts can interpret the same given facts in several different ways, which will cause arguments and conflicts in these disciplines. Since these facts are interpreted this way, several difficulties are presented in the understanding of these subjects and it is difficult to obtain more knowledge due to these obstacles.
