Each human being has different strengths and weaknesses. Even though the difference is what each of us unique and continue to have a sense of individuality, in order to be an excellent manager, one will have to enhance their keys strengths and overcome their weaknesses. In this essay, I will be addressing my strengths and weaknesses to create a successful managerial work and evaluate with some core literature that in my interest.
 
 
To become a potential manager I have chosen three of my essential abilities and personalities to enhance and overcome. One of the strength I believe is the key to success, not only as a manager but also as an individual, is being optimistic. I think that there will always be hope for an optimistic person. When someone being optimistic, it means they are still seeking for opportunities, they are also ever seeing the positive side of every situation, which there are always ways to achieve. As I also think that every case has its perks. Being an optimistic person has a lot of pro in it, but being an optimistic manager will bring even more advantages. An optimistic manager will drive the employees. They will engage more with their tasks, motivated by the positivity of the manager, thus created a positive environment. Unfortunately, it is not easy to always see the bright sides of everything. Sometimes in some situations, I lost hope and cannot keep myself together. Nevertheless, I believe there are ways to practice being optimistic from the inners. One is by continually realising that not everything will always go in the way you want, but you can learn from what happened and act upon it. To stimulate each situation also require problem-solving skill, which I also think is one of the vital ability to strengthen.

Problem-solving skill is crucial to be a good manager. The role as a manager, according to Hales in 1986, is to perform both specialist or technical and general or administrative work, management as a process and focus on the “fluidities of managerial work”, pressure and conflicting were demanded. The fluidities were meaning that the manager will have to be able to adapt to the situation occurring in the real time. Malcolm Gladwell had introduced, in 2005, the idea of “thin slicing” meaning that people can make decisions, develop an opinion of the situation and able to reach a conclusion. It is essential to understand that being a problem solver isn’t only a capacity; it’s an entire outlook, one that drives individuals to draw out the best in themselves and to shape the world emphatically. Instead of tolerating business, as usual, genuine problem solvers are always attempting to shape their condition proactively. Problem-solving is at the centre of human development. It is the strategies we use to comprehend what is going on in our condition, distinguish things we need to change and afterwards make sense of the things that should be done to make the coveted result. To develop this skill is to develop the strategic ways of thinking, to get enough sleep will help the brain to learn and develops. At the point when individuals are deprived of sleep for even one night, their capacity to remember new data drops essentially. (Tamminen, 2018) Without getting enough sleep prevent the brain in improving in many abilities including problem-solving.

Control is an essential aptitude that a decent administrator ought to have and ought to have the capacity to execute in an association. It is an integral component of Henri Fayol’s five elements of administration. Some may see the word controlling as negative and overwhelming with a specific disgrace connected to it.
