Sir George Monoux College use a Job advert to employ and hire new staff to work in the college. The college look for new staff so they can keep on improving the college and get good ratings by Ofsted. Moreover, if the teachers are not teaching well enough then they could eventually get sacked, this is also why Monoux use a Job advert as they might need to replace teachers with new ones. In addition, if some teachers in the college have retired or passed away, they will use a Job advert to look for new teachers to replace them.
The advantages of a Job advert are that the data about the activity can be promoted and put onto diverse stages, for example, web-based social networking, on the web, media, daily papers and sites. This will carry a more extensive gathering of people with the right abilities and enough experience for the activity part. Another, advantage is that it will fill the opportunities speedy which will influence the entire choice and enrolment to process simple and brisk. The confinements of a Job advert are that is can cost a great deal of cash to advance it on a few stages which implies that the business should be cautious and watchful on what number of various stages they can put the activity advert on. Another, confinement is that it is tedious in accepting and checking on applications from several candidates and relying upon the business it can be thousands, this is tedious for the business.
As I would like to think, a Job advert is helpful for the hopefuls who are applying for the activity. Additionally, it is valuable for the hopeful as well as helpful for the HR division because in the activity advert, it clarifies everything about the activity part as its particular and this is valuable in pulling in the correct crowd of candidates. In the activity advert, it incorporates the pay, working hours, work part and numerous data that are more critical. In my opinion,, this is likewise helpful as it is vital for the candidate whether they have the right abilities and experience for the activity.
Job Description:
Sir George Monoux College utilize a Job portrayal to set out undertaking and duties regarding new applicant that they need to procure/get in. Set of working responsibilities could help Monoux a considerable measure as this would then be able to enable them to locate the ideal contender for the activity.
The advantages of utilising a Job depiction is that it can locate the ideal individual for the activity. The Job portrayal fills in as specialized instruments that enable the two representatives and possibility to unmistakably comprehend the desires of the part and its fundamental obligations. By doing this, it can enhance both interior and outside enrolment and can hold and spur the best ability. Another, advantage is that these parts and duties incorporated into the Job part, it can improve the individual enhance and propel them to continue enhancing constantly. The limitations of using a Job description is that in few cases it tends to typecast the applicant that means being an initiative or improving the methods and procedure are prohibited. In addition, another limitation is that a job description can quickly become outdated which means that the staff need to complete their responsibilities as quick as possible. Also, poorly written Job descriptions of the applicant might take them to a wrong doing activities such as illegal activities.
In my opinion job description is very useful because it gives the candidates all the important information about the vacancy before they even apply. This helps the candidate to see if they meet the organisations requirements. This also helps the interview process because the interviewer won’t have to take interview of those candidates which are not qualified for the job which saves time. It also helps to short list the best candidates.
Person specification:
Sir George Monoux College use a Person specification to employ new candidates for Job roles in the college and they also use it to shortlist many different candidates for the job. In addition, they use a Person specification to hire new people for the business and by using a Person specification it can find the best possible person for the job. The Person specification includes the skills, experience, knowledge and other attributes so this is what Sir George Monoux College use when employing new people.
The benefit is that it helps Monoux to select the best appropriate candidate for a particular job by seeing if they meet the requirements/criteria. This is an easy way to see if applicants are capable of meeting the requirements of the job, thereby reducing unsuitable candidates at an early stage of the interview process. On the other hand, the disadvantage of using person specification is that there may be a candidate who would not meet the requirements/criteria but they might be hardworking person and might use those skills in the future, which means Monoux will lose that candidate for the job without taking interview be too high. It can be improved if Monoux makes the requirements lower for the candidates, so that more people can apply for the vacancy and then Monoux have more candidates to take the interview.
In my opinion, person specification is useful because it highlights the things that a candidate must have to apply for the vacancy. This will help Monoux to get the best candidates for the interview. It is also useful for the candidate because they can see the requirements and apply if they meet the requirements rather than applying it and wasting the business and their time by giving interview when they do not even meet the requirements.
Application Form:
Sir George Monoux College use an Application Form to hire new employees for the college and they do this by providing Application forms to Job centres, online on the website, social media. They provide them on all types of platforms to get a wider range of people with different skills and abilities. Sir George Monoux College also puts online Applications on their website for people to do saves more time because it has a faster process.
The benefits of using an Application form is that it helps a great deal when attempting to get and utilize new individuals for a business. Additionally, another advantage is that Application structures can be finished and found on a wide range of stages, for example, web-based social networking, charge sheets, and daily papers and particularly online on sites. The limitations are that some people can lie on their Application form and write false information about their work experience and their work history so that they could get the job.
In my opinion an Application form is useful for the businesses because it includes all the details of the about the candidate, therefore the interviewer can ask questions to the candidate in to interview to see if the information is right and the candidate is telling the truth.
Score sheet
Sir George Monoux College use a Score sheet for many different things such as scoring/rating an interview, marking a test, or for a school report. When I did my interview which was part of the assignment, my teacher used a score sheet to mark our interview, which shows that when Monoux look to employ new candidates, they use a score sheet to mark how they do and if they are the right person for the job.
The strength of feedback sheet is that no time is wasted when assessing the employee; it is free as there is no money in this when using the score sheet. Another big strength for feedback sheet is that it allows the interviewee to note down all the good points about the applicant and it will help out with the overall decisions for them. However, the limitations for a score sheet is that it only includes the mark and the grade you got and it is not very detailed. Another, limitation is that there are more other docume
nts that have a lot more information than a score sheet that makes it very weak compared to other documents.
In my opinion, I think that a feedback sheet is very useful as it gives the person taking the interview an idea of what to do next and how to put things together.

In this assignment, I will analyse my contribution to selection process and then I will evaluate the experience of planning and participating in the recruitment and selection process.
The planning of the interview was quite hard as this was my first time experiencing it, I was very scared. The way I planned and prepared for my interview was that we did a mini mock with our teacher and she gave us feedback, my interview was terrible as I kept mumbling and hesitating. However, after the interview I prepared questions based on the job role with my partner then we practised many times to make sure it was the best possible interview we’ve done.

The first strength that I displayed in the interview was that was that I approached the interview in a calm, manner in which I was confident in myself and stayed well eye contact with the interviewer. These real qualities demonstrate that I was casual and positive about myself while being in the meeting and I didn’t have a negative approach nor way while I was talking or all through the meeting. My confidence played a key role in determining my character, as I was confident whilst I was speaking and confident with how I was answering the questions. This shows that it did not look like my answers were being made up on the spot as I did not stutter and look around throughout the interview. Overall, all of these strengths benefitted me as it made it look like a professional interview and made me do really well in the interview.
The second advantage that I had displayed throughout the interview was my ability to answer the questions with enthusiasm by backing up my points when I was being asked the questions. By effectively answering the questions and backing up the points with clear detail showed that I was determined in the interview and shows my eagerness to succeed. All of my answers that I had given were all correct and backed up and I had managed to do this in an effective way. Furthermore, all of these benefits helped me score really high as I knew what I was doing.
Alternatively, my weakness in my interview was that I was always shaking my legs around all through the whole meeting and occasionally ended smiling while I was being made the inquiries on various events. The feeling this would prompt would see myself being stressed and restless and in an awkward state inside the meeting. This demonstrates I may have been apprehensive and was not acting proficient. If I have another meeting I would not shake my legs or smile as this can prompt an awful impression, for example, being anxious and furthermore demonstrate that you may not be completely drawn in with the questioner themselves. This is another thought on which I would not repeat in another interview. However, this weakness has helped me as next time I know what I should not do in an interview.
One thing I learned from planning for the interview and participating in it is that it takes a lot of time and effort to prepare for the interview, which at times can be very stressful. In addition, it takes a lot of practise to make your responses for the questions perfect and well detailed with everything explained. Another thing I learned from planning and participating in an interview is that you must never mumble and shake which means you need to be organised and prepared. Furthermore, I learnt that if you come well dressed and smart looking then it can give you extra points in the interview as it shows that you are taking the job interview very seriously and shows that you are interested in getting the job. Finally, I learnt that you have to always have a question at the end for the interviewer.
The interview has benefited me in a good way this is because this was my first ever interview and it showed me how a real interview will be set-up and look like this was an advantage to me because if I have another interview I will know what it will be like as I have experienced it also this will help me reduce stress and anxiety in my next interview as I went through it before. Furthermore, it will help me boost my confidence a lot for my upcoming interview and that I could do the best I can. In addition, the feedback is very important this is because when we get the feedback we could know what to do for our next interview and ace it as the feedback gives us what to improve on. I also learnt that in an interview you need to use body language to grab the interviewer’s attention and make the interviewer look think that you are the best candidate for the job.
Next time, I have taken down a note that I need to stop shaking my legs during the interview as it made me look like I was not well prepared and organised for the interview. Furthermore, I would rehearse my responses over and over again to make I have the best possible answer and to make sure that I am confident. Moreover, I will research more about the job role and organisation that I am doing or approaching.
In my opinion, overall for my interview I would score myself an 9 out of 10. This is because I feel that I answered every question with full detail fully gave examples which also backed up my points that I made. In addition, I spoke in a calm and good manner that makes me suitable for the job and I did not mumble which shows that I am confident and organised. I also answered in a polite and suitable manner which makes me a kind candidate and that I care about the job. I also wore a suit that made me look very smart and made it look like I took it serious this showed the interviewer that I wanted the job.
